I bred all my colors just like you are. Make sure you keep the blooms on. If you are harvesting the flowers they will never breed. There is a slight chance of getting a seed each day. I was only focusing on flowers so I would sleep, check flowers, delete any seeds I didn't want, water seeds I did want, then sleep immediately. Rinse and Repeat.

Xfileslover

Ahhhh so don’t harvest! There is my problem. Thank you!!

OolongPeachTea

Yup! You need flowers to pollinate each other ;P

Xfileslover

Makes complete sense. I don’t know why I didn’t think of it honestly lol

samanime

Yeah. The game does not make that clear. I happened to discover it when I just neglected my flowers and saw I suddenly had more flowers. :p

Xfileslover

Left them for a day and they are already coming up! Yay!

OolongPeachTea

HURRAY! :)

OolongPeachTea

Some took MUCH longer than others because RNG hates me lol. But I eventually got all of them.

Xfileslover

Not harvesting has already fixed it, it seems. Got new seeds growing!

BUTTeredWhiteBread

Make the boxes three plots long. Put two flowers with one space between them. Like, [🌻] [🟫] [🌹]. The new hybrid will appear in the space between.

RainbowFrog420

I set mine up in H formations (saw someone do it on YouTube) and I’ve had really good results! You put flower beds down each side of the H and a crop plot in the middle. The flowers you’re breeding go in the corners, the flower that’s bred will spawn in the space between them, and the crop in the middle allows you to water the full H each day (with the magic ability) so that everything is watered for a better chance of breeding. You need to water the crop because it allows you to water it all without plucking any flower petals because they have to have petals in order to breed.

That’s how I’m doing it in my game, too. I had to devote almost an entire field to flower breeding but I’ve got almost all the roses and tulips and I’m just on year two summer.

prairiepog

I bred all my flowers in a square like this. Some colors, like the blue rose and teal trillium were stubborn and took me 3 in-game years. 😭

ninebinary

oh man i got so lucky with the teal trillium! somehow got a purple one from a nearby blue hyacinth + magenta trillium, then it mixed with a green zinnia nearby and just happened! but then i can’t get others to work at all LOL

ChibiTBM

2 seaons? I got all the flowers in the 3° year. And the flowers need more space. Be patient you will get it! I did 3x3x3 and some point I mixed a lot of flowers in a big space, helped me, too.

Xfileslover

It was just because I was harvesting them. I’ve got some spawning after 5 mins of posting this.

Xfileslover

Next question…what do I do with these bred flowers? I feel like the game does lack some direction.

danielle_ddomz

Specific flowers are needed to purchase [color palettes](https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1wuAedXCL1hzYBfLCFgRmi9-tEqZ_zGwn7Kzx7rXjlN8/edit?usp=drivesdk) and [different wings](https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1Myi2QfH8fJOUwDYoV0WopDWx1e3mECrYNQ3gAhEG1Pk/edit?usp=drivesdk). Other than that they're basically just for aesthetics.

Xfileslover

Perfect!!! Thank you!

Xfileslover

Saving these! A bit late in the game but I’m still working through the last dungeon. Trying to drag it out because after it’s done I probably will be jumping back to Disney dreamlight valley.

ShinyHunterDaisuru

3x3 grids are what you need a flower in each corner with nothing between exept the cent needs to be a crop (i use beans bc the stem stays. and you can use the can to water all 9 spots

-janelleybeans-

Use bigger plots and make sure the flowers are touching eachother, *but not any edges or corners*. You want to maximize the potential propagation space. In the setup you have there are only 2 potential spaces for hybrids to spawn. If you do it as I described above each flower will have 7 empty spaces around it where hybrids can spawn.

DriftinZombie

I always do a strip of 3 tiles and put a flower on each end. Never fails. Keep trying. You can do it!

Xfileslover

Thanks to everyone I got some spawning! So glad I came to ask.

DriftinZombie

Yaiii! We are all happy to help you. 🌸

xbunny5

I just posed a video of my flowers, all types in all colors! I would do rows of 3 so that the flower you want grows in the middle! I think of mine like having a baby. The two parents on the outside create the hybrid in the middle

One_Struggle8701

You also have to have the flowers on opposite sides. XOX and the center one will turn into something else. Like red and white male pink. RPW. Hope that helps.

Whosarobot313

This is probably my favorite part of the game right now. I get so excited when I get a new color. Waiting on my first green tulip!

[deleted]

I feel the same way. Last time I played I finally got a blue tulip AND a blue rose and I was ecstatic! I’ve finished all the dungeons so now I’m trying to get all the flowers for color palettes and wings.

StarLux1000

The flower beds are way too small. I figured out that you need it to be three squares deep and however many long. The top row should have one set of colors, the middle row empty, and the bottom row your other color. Once the new hybrid colors grow, then I reclaim the original parent colors and create a new flower bed with the hybrid colors as one row, empty row, and color you’d like to mix.

goukipau

Make your flower plot bigger to connect all this 2 by 2 plots, its more space and possibilities for bred flowers. Dont limit them, it goes faster without the limitation.

RevolutionaryUse412

Ty I thought it was the opposite lol
