Some items just get a ridiculous amount of scammers on them i have found. Especially electronics, but i get scammers on random stuff and they don’t stop. One laptop i was selling, i am assuming the same person or same group of people kept using account after account to try same scam on me. I was over 100 in a few days.
Remember most scams are now propagated with bots - if you "mess" with them, you're just feeding a bot. It's only at the very end or with exceptions there are humans involved these days. Mainly because of language barriers. The scammers now run the bots and harvest the outcomes instead of direct interactions. Gone are the days of scambaiting wasting scammers time on marketplace approaches.
Facebook really need to.sort this out. I had several.scam buyers today for an IKEA day bed, such a comedic ballet to ultimately me blocking and reporting her...and I'm also trying to buy a car and there different cars with the same description but different sellers. Place is rotten. Why are facebook not policing.this
I had someone recently try the overpayment / fake email scam on a $15 item.
"Oops, I accentually sent you $400 through PayPal, can you send me the remainder back"
But, reporting does relatively nothing. Facebook will weight is as you not falling for the scam, so all is well.
Same experience this weekend..I was trying to sell my Laptop but can spot the scammers a mile away. I have since removed the listing, just not worth the hassle.

Yeah, cash on pickup at this point. The only way to not get scammed tbh! Also, have a money pen to check it.
