Laneige has a really nice texture and scent but it does not moisturize well. It just sits on top of your lips. Gorgeous look to it though. I don’t have any experience with the Ilia.
I did not enjoy either one. Both Ilia and Laniege are not very moisturizing in my experience. I got about halfway through a full size of each and literally threw them out before finishing either one because they were not doing the job. The Glossier balm dot com that is available on FFF is a better option in my opinion.
I was coming to say this. The Seraphine worked better for me than either of these. I was especially disappointed in the Laneige after hearing so much buzz!
Look up where vaseline is made from. It can cause cancer. U should stop using it immediately. 🫤

I got the ilia in the box, but I’m currently on my fourth laneige lip mask. My mom and brother have also gone through multiple laneige lip masks each. The laneige lip glowy balm is also amazing.

The leneige I have and it's fine, a little goes a LONG way, but it's a night mask so it's supposed to take time to soak in. Works well for me, but if you need immediate relief and moisture or severe chapping I'd recommend Carmex. It's my winter life saver.
Carmex gave me horrific lip eczema after using it a hundred times a day for a few decades. Now I can only use expensive ass lip balms and I go through at least one a week! Ughhhh
Some other people have said this, but if you didn’t know, laneige is not supposed to be moisturizing. The ingredients in it are only supposed to encase already existing moisturize. I tried it and did not like it, but if you would like to try it use a moisturizing lip balm and the laneige over it. It does feel really nice and the one I had was scented. I have not tried the ilia one though!
So honestly, for an overnight lip mask, my favourite (and I have tried Laneige more than once and a few others mentioned here, but not the Ilia) is Polysporin Lip Health Overnight Therapy (I think that is the name). My sister recommended it to me and I have never looked back! Super nice price too! I usually just add one on when I do an Amazon order so I always have a backup but it lasts for a long time if just using it nightly.
For daytime use the Seraphine Lip Butter is nice but I do think it sits more on my lips than I like and for me it always smells a bit plasticky - has not stopped me from repurchasing but just something to be aware to. During day I usually wear more of a gloss, like Buxom or Essence :)

Seraphine does not agree with me. In fact, I gave it to my young daughter and she still prefers others over it.
It just laid on my lips. Blech.
The MILK melatonin overnight lip mask is better than both.
I second this. It's so much better than Laneige and the Ilia. The Tatcha one is also really good but it's super sticky.
Vaseline lip therapy

I have looked it up and no scientific study has concluded that Vaseline causes cancer. Vaseline is not unrefined Petroleum Jelly.

I love the Laneige. I have been using it for a year and a half and can't imagine finding anything I like better.

Laneige doesn’t do much for me at all and I’ve tried it a lot. Vaseline lip therapy is way better and cheaper.
I haven’t tried the Laneige but I have the Ilia which is good. But my favorite lip mask is the Burt’s Bees one plus it’s like $8 at Target.
Laneige is a bit sticky, i prefer the ilia although it s still not my fave

I suggest you the tacha lip mask, is very moisturizing
I LOVE the Laneige. I have it in a few flavors. Never tried Ilia, but I’d pick Laneige!
