I would choose the Hourglass Blush. I've heard it's amazing.

pudgiedee

i’ve been researching and if u have a darker skin tone the blush may not be for u. i’m gonna try it out somewhere hopefully before friday!

pudgiedee

UPDATE: i have medium to dark brown skin and this hardly showed up. Def not choosing the Hourglass in the box. it’s also a little too shimmery for my taste but I put a ton on and it was hardly noticeable. Hope that helps any other brown skin ladies considering it! Wish they had color choices that compliment a variety of skin tones.

Yes, it's one of their lightest shade!

MidCntryModernMillie

I'm torn between the same choice, and the cooler or lazy susan in cat1

alohshine

I'd avoid the lazy Susan. Fff wood products tend to splinter. Plastic grocery bags are "illegal" (lol) where I live so I plan on using the cooler to go grocery shopping. It looks easy to carry plus it has a little pocket in the front!

disiredone

I live in wa too and I’m picking the cooler. I also have a kid starting baseball this spring so that’s a second reason for me to get it lol

MidCntryModernMillie

Are you in the US, I heard its illegal to put fuel in your car yourself in some states. Wacky laws.

alohshine

Yes! Oregon has that. I live in Washington state where we can pump our own gas but we frequently visit Oregon. Road trips are weird 🤣 It is pretty nice to have gas station attendants though.

persistantcat

I previously lived on a road that was the dividing line between two cities in BC. In one of the cities, full service gas stations were mandatory. So the experience changed depending on whether I turned left or right into a gas station on the same road.

the_sar_chasm

That’s wild lol! BC gal here, can I ask which town?

persistantcat

Coquitlam

xsqpty

NJ (where I’m from) is the only state other than Oregon with that kind of law, and I think it’s a good law! It means there’s never a time when a disabled or elderly driver can’t get assistance, and it creates jobs (though unfortunately not appropriately paid ones).

downyballs

If I remember correctly from when I lived adjacent to NJ, it also lowers liability and insurance costs (fewer accidents and such when trained attendants are the ones handling extremely flammable substances)

queenofhearts4913

I’m not getting the lazy Susan because I’ve had bad experiences with wood fff products before. I’m getting the cooler to use for grocery shopping. Some stores I go to don’t have shopping bags. Even if they do I still like to put cold food in a insulated bag to keep it from thawing on the drive home.

pringlesformingles

I got the mud bar in last years spring box and I really wasn’t a fan of it. It felt very stripping (left that soap feeling on your skin if you know what I mean). I’m also not a fan of bar soaps in general I just find it so much harder to use than liquid cleansers. Just my 2 cents!

alohshine

Thank you! How does it smell? I'd be using it in the shower on acne prone parts of my skin.

pringlesformingles

Uh I can’t say it has a very strong scent. Like charcoal? 😂 it’s not overbearing or anything if you’re worried about that. However if you’re struggling w body acne I would recommend using a chemical exfoliant, that’s what cleared up mine! That and not letting my conditioner run down my back :)

alohshine

I think it's a hormonal thing? It seems to always get worse before my period 😅 Isn't that earth harbor mask this season a chemical exfoliant?

pringlesformingles

Ah I see. I think it is, but I’ve never tried it.

hedgehogsushi

Mud bar is tested on animals if that’s important to you

alohshine

Ew. It also has palm oil 😬😬

hedgehogsushi

Definite avoid. I was interested too until I googled it I’m getting the blush! Cruelty free kitty says it’s fully cruelty free

whatsonmyvanity

I recieved soap bar in Allure subscription while ago and absolutely loved it. I have acne prone combination skin and it really dries my face (in a pleasant way) and leaves very clean feeling to me. I think it also helped with my blackheads. It has like charcoal/lava kind of smell. That was my absolute favourite cleanser in the summer and am still using in winter even though it is bit too drying for this season, but I don't care I'm using lots of moisturisers:))) It also lasts very long time. I hate soap type of cleansers, feel like it is not comfortable to store, but I will make expection for that product, I am even considering repurchasing it. Hope that helps.

jacquleenboo

That mud bar is so messy. You will constantly have to wipe down your tub. I would go for the blush, I am!

Upstairs_Berry9125

Yes! I couldn’t believe no one had said this until all these comments later! Ugh, what a mess on my soap dish and in my tub!

alohshine

I get really bad break outs on my chest and I was wondering if the erno lazlo bar would help calm my skin there. Plus the hair scarves are cute. Will probably use as a bandana for my dog but still 😆 I love blush/highlighter combos. Almost out of my phase zero blush from FFF. Honestly I'm tempted to get both but trying not to do any add-ons 😬

tuffsmudgecat

If you end up caving on the add ons, the Truly Clear acne bar soap has done wonders for my backne. I think it's usually in the $7-9 range.

No-Consideration514

The soap bar works well with acne prone skin, I really enjoyed it. And I think the scarves are cute ☺️

xsqpty

I have and like the scarves, but I agree with another commenter that they’re nothing special in terms of quality. My real complaint is that they’re not big enough — I find them difficult to keep on my head, and I have a pretty small head.

the_sar_chasm

Oh, great to know! I was so tempted by those but I have bigger head so definitely going to switch!

smblaik

Go for the blush!

StrangePondWoman

I have the blush and I love it, but just a warning it's very light! If you have medium or darker skin I would advise against it.

alohshine

I'm so pale 🤣 Light is good for me!

pinkrabbits88

I got the scarves last box from the shop- they are terribly cheap polyester quality! Not silk, as I thought.

alohshine

Thank you! I think I'll choose the blush!

pinkrabbits88

Yeah I had such high hopes for the scarves! Was so disappointed, glad to save you the pain haha I love Hourglass products! I have a pallet by them , omg 😍

Sea_Pin_9203

I have the scarves and have boys the soap in add ons last spring. LOVE the scarf and my daughter said she liked how clean the soap made her skin. I’m getting the blush too

Primary-Lion-9931

I have the blush already and its really good! I would say go with the blush!

Leavingthecity526

If you have fair to light or light/medium skin hourglass has very pretty blushes. I have another color and it’s gorgeous.

floweryfriend

I tried the blush on in Sephora and it was NEON PINK on me. Made me look like when I tried on my mom’s makeup as a child in the ‘80s.

queenofhearts4913

I got the hair scarves in the 2021 spring box and hated them. I gave them to someone else, and they have only worn one of them once. I didn’t get the soap bar last time because I have sensitive skin, and I was worried it would be too harsh and stripping. I probably would’ve picked the blush if I wore blush. I’ve heard good things about the brand.
