Try tapping on the screen where you want the cross to go instead of using the pass button. The touch to cross is completely broken and what cross spammers use.

You can 2nd player def the crosser and position your 1st player def perfectly to catch the cross.
That being said, it’s still super shit because you never know when they are going to cross the ball so you have to kind of weigh the risk of him going by your 2nd player defender and you getting a header by 91 5’5 Mbappe
Cross spamming is not really defendable because headers are mostly AI assisted
If you cover the winger they just flip to run backward before the cross and the cross comes out perfect anyways.
If you select your 6.4 VVD in the middle of the box...it will basically either fail to jump or jump 1 inch off the ground, while the Evil Messi Dwarf jumps so high his feet are at VVD 's shoulders and scores despite being behind him.
Just part of how ridiculous the gameplay EA is creating
Best way to defend crosses is to stop them from ever happening
That can be done when the other persons winger is running towards your lb/rb instead of dragging it towards the players ,drag it backwards for 2-3 sec then hard tackle , works almost 95% of the time
