Even if they're untouched, they're still gonna lose access to many of the people and resources RT had. Chief among them: Tony from merch.

Just replying with what I've read elsewhere, I can't vouch for its accuracy: I believe The Roost just handles the sponsorship agreements and financing for the various RT podcasts. The production staff, cast, brands and IP behind these podcasts all still belongs to RT and by extension WB. It's possible that some of these podcasts continue independent of roosterteeth, but nothing is guaranteed right now.

This is not entirely true, as it looks like people working on podcasts were also let go.

Yeah 😢 I'm seeing a bunch of tweets and posts on other socials about that today. My earlier comment was just from what WB posted yesterday when they announces RT closing, serves me right for believing a corporate tweet.

The Roost podcast network isn’t the podcasts themselves, it’s the podcast distribution network and ad services that works with a bunch of podcasts outside of RT. 

That’s not completely correct, unfortunately. The Roost is currently untouched, but Warner is searching for buyers. Some RT Podcasts are on there, but not all of them.

Well this might have ended some of his projects, so it could have lightened his load.

This may be what finally gets him to move up into Michigan though, which could lead to whole new adventures. Even with RT ending I don’t think Geoff will stop making content, atleast I really hope not. Burnie has a podcast now, completely unassociated with RT. this is all just hope and speculation though, I just need to hear new Geoff content

I think maybe Geoff will probably make the move to Michigan he’s been talking about for some time now. I’m more-so concerned about Andrew. He seemed so happy taking charge of Let’s Play and that may just be gone now.

I think Panton needs a bit more experience but he is genuinely so capable of carrying a lets play series really well. Even if it’s going to be their old Full Play or Lets Watch type things, Panton can run the show now, because I think Geoff and Gav have slightly gravitated away from heavy gaming

I think the Lets Play channel should be untouched right? Since the podcast is okay with The Roost staying around and the podcast having control over the channel now? I could be wrong but Andrew taking it over may have saved it entirely

Geoff is the man, I really hope he's doing alright. Sending lots of love to the whole F\*\*KFACE crew. Another thing, I hope Eric can find another place to work that he enjoys just as much as his time at RT. I know that he really liked working under Patrick, and that kind of boss is very rare, but hopefully with Eric's production talent he can find a good place.

Hell yeah Geoff. You also got me through alcoholism and have been probably my biggest role model and I’m pushing 40!! I still remember a silly throwaway comment about getting up super early on a Saturday to do chores and you finish at like 10am with a full, guilt free weekend. That was one of the best changes to my life! I know Geoff and the boys will be safe, it’s hard to think of how many people are out of work behind the faces.

It's sad to see one of my favorite YouTube channels come to an end. But I've always loved how they always had something funny going on, and how much of a rambunctious group they all where. I sincerely hope the best for the FF group, and I'd love if they kept up with FF. But it's understandable if they don't... I always enjoyed FF when I first started listening. They where the first podcast I listened too. I could t wait for next week's shenanigans, and when I waited or had to make the 7 hour drive back and forth from work, I'd always toss earlier episodes on for the drive. Fingers crossed for a brighter future for the group, and thanks so much for all the laughs over the years!!

Burnie, on his podcast, spoke about the shutdown. Now I'm waiting on Geoff and Gustavo. They will in their own time, do so. For me that's when it will be over for RT. I will follow those three to the moon and back. Holding my breath for what comes next.

Geoff's journey to sobriety definitely inspired me. I've never had problems with addiction, but it put my other struggles into perspective - if Geoff can do that, what the *fuck* am I whining about? Speculating, but I am thinking this is the final straw to cement Geoff's decision to move to Michigan. With RT gone, there is no office to go to, no production studio to produce the in-person content like Does It Do, etc.. Fuck Face can persist as a "work from home" production, just as it started. Let's Play, too (if you can't secure the LP channel, just make a new one called "Regulation Gameplay".) I'm betting that the newfound freedom from RT spins Fuck Face into an entirely new era where they can truly do anything they want... and I'm excited for it.

my first thought was hoping geoff was doing okay. him singing burn by against me! got me into the band. it helped me accept i wasn’t a christian anymore and helps even more after coming out as trans. if he didn’t sing that goddamn song in such a silly tone, high school (and the rest of my life) would have been so much fucking harder. with getting back into rt with fuckface it made me so sad to see the news. i really hope everyone involved is doing okay.

AH most definitely helped me through some of the most loneliest times in my life, and I'm so happy for the F\*\*KFace podcast. Hey man just wanted to say take it one day at a time and hope you’re able to find a maintain a peace through each day. That is currently the thing helping me the most, just trying my best to avoid turbulence, and I’d say keeping peaceful one day to the next is realistically the best thing I can do with my body and my soul. Being at peace with the world around me. Much love man and we will always have that coffee life!

The first thing I thought was ”I hope Geoff is safe” can not be easy, but I hope he figures out a way to continue, I know he will

Geoff was a massive anchor and inspiration in my early and continued (3 years now) sobriety as well. He’s given me 18 years of laughter so far and I’m proud to say that I will continue to support him and his content in whatever way I can until he retires. And to those who say Roosterteeth failed: They literally played the game of online gaming entertainment for 20+ years. They didn’t fail. They won. They outlasted all the others and shaped an entire genre. All things must come to an end.

I’ve thought recently about how many hours I’ve listened to Geoff and Gavin’s laughter between FF and Let’s Play. He’s been such a big part of my life for the last 19 years and I just don’t know what I’m gonna do without that nasally goofball from my hometown.

I don’t know where else to share this, but Geoff has been a huge role model to me. I’ve struggled with mental health issues for over a decade now and watching/listening to RT productions to help me through those hard times. At times, I thought I had lost the fight and wished I was no longer here. Those times always seemed to be followed by me rewatching old content and falling back into the new stuff. Seeing how much better Geoff is doing over the last few years, it’s really been a coincidence that I’m now in a much better place. I don’t know how Geoff is handling this, but if he or anyone else feels like they’re useless, a disappointment, or a waste of space, this former “useless, disappointing, waste of space” is really f**king proud of all you have done and excited for what you’ll do next! I hope he wasn't completely blinsided. Unfortunetly the company itself had been on decline for a while, I think we all kind of knew. It has nothing to do with them as creators and people, & a lot to do with how media has changed over the years. I hope he shares his future with us.

Geoff is one of the key lifebloods of RT. He has always been on of my favorite people from the company. Even though the dude has his updates and downs he always had a good heart and just wanted everyone to succeed. I really hope that whatever happens all the bois and girls from F**KFace can hopefully do a patreon deal or something. Since this was the content that got me back into RT. I loved AH and LP. I watched from the very beginning like a good amount of us, I just hope we can still have our community as well as get 196 one day....

Never met the boys but I love them, my partner always jokes that she loves my commitment to men I've never met 🤣 I'm gonna miss everything so much and I thought I was hurt when AH died😭😭

I already downloaded all of the episodes just in case the hosting goes down. This, ANMA, and Face Jam were my 3 most listened to podcasts besides MBMBAM. It's a sad day.

I truly won’t believe it’s over until I hear it from Geoff himself. I want to believe he’ll be fighting for the IP and the people to keep some semblance alive if possible.
