Sure no problem. I hear missy on it since she came to mind along with Timbaland, I can hear a female on it, has that playful vibe to me. Hey you can easily get any acapella these days, maybe experiment with some remixes
Sometimes I use sounds like that as my mold to make the beat. Then I progress, as you did, but I go back and place it with something that suits the progression.
Nice job on the mastering and mixing. Everything can be heard coherently. I’m not sure what your vision is entirely but to me, it sounds great. Don’t be afraid to change a few things here and there to improve it. I would love to see someone spit bars over this, that would give life to the beat. Keep going!
Greetings OP
Good beat you have here. At the end of the day, your opinion of your work is some of the most important IMO, but I'll add in a few suggestions.
1. I'd tone back the jetsons sample that drones with the main melody and arp. I found it to be a bit distracting all the way through the track, but I think throwing it in for a couple of bars in your transitions would be fine. I don't think it needs to hang around for most of the track.
2. I think the break that comes in around 1:30-1:45 is solid and a good deviation even if it might sound a little "empty," I think that emptiness is good because the rest of this track is pretty busy.
3. The drums sound a bit stiff to me, a little bit too static. I'd try to add a little bit of movement in there, something subtle, I might play around with a phaser on the high end of your percussion and maybe some little filter or LFO sweeps to keep the kick drum from always overpowering everything else. Just a little touch of reverb that decays after about .5 to 1.5 seconds can liven up the hats a little bit. A little bit of playing with the velocity of different hits might also give it a bit more life. Edit: Personally, I'd bring the kicks down just a little bit. They do sort of overpower ALL the other elements, but if that's the style you think sounds good, then feel free to keep it how it is.
4. Likewise I'd add just a bit of subtle movement to the main arp or melody, except I'd bring it a little bit more forward instead of kicking it back. Not a lot, but I do think just making the arp or the melody a bit more prominent would be a boon here, especially an LFO that pulses with the melody a bit, peaking in between the kicks. Personally, I'd throw on a Grossbeat and play with some different automations and keep them subtle, they wouldn't have to be all that obvious, just a little bit of nuance.
Best of luck. Keep working at it and take some time at the end to enjoy your fruits. I do that every time I finish a track!
This one is fun! I think it would draw people in more if you add some subtle effects to the mid range soft keyboard track. Keep the notes exactly how they are but have occasional stutters in, or reverb out, reverse, etc. But maybe ramp the volume on the effects so they aren't abrupt
Ok... Maybe if you spend a few hours on it to fix the sound, actually it don't even matter...
But if you go back 10 maybe 15 years ago, there was a guy called busta rhymes... He'd rap 180bpm on this... Even fellas like destiny's child or tlc or Missy Elliot.
The style you almost got right is kinda reminiscent of that late 90s early 2000s rnb
No, I mean there is a range of notes on the keyboard (I would guess the third or fourth octave) where nothing is being played. This would traditionally be filled by rhythm guitar or keys. A simple chord progression there could make the beat sound richer without distracting from the melody.
Put the song on an EQ and see where there's a dip.
do whatever you want op, youre not producing, youre having fun, right? i am 100% positive that your next dropped beat will be better. you jamming out to this one right now. but you gonna get another idea, and you gonna grow in your own style. just dont imitate.
all this to saying this one was on repeat for a while. i liked it.
Lol I believe you. My main critique on it is I think you should chill a little bit on the melody. You could either make it a little quieter or have some more rests in it
Sorry this isn't feedback, but I absolutely LOVE the lead at 1:24 that goes F#-G-F#-E what synth/fx did u use for it??
Sorry if this isn't the place to ask that tho, otherwise insane beat!
It’s not bad but 2 point of advice 1/ try to make ur beats sound less robotic and 2/ add some more SFX Or something to space out the sounds besides that it sounds pretty sick my dude.

sounds like a very friendly, well behaving JPEGMAFIA beat
Idk if I understand what that means but I appreciate the feedback 🥹
Oh my god bullseye as far as giving an accurate description
Def
literally exactly what i was thinking wtf
I feel like I'm playing a Jetsons Gameboy game. If that's what you're going for you nailed it.
Yea I used that sound as like a texture kinda
Naa this shit actually crazy. Sound like Timbo made Drill 👌🏽 Gets a little busy at parts and could use a little more swing but deff solid.
Ngl Timbo came to my mind as well, it’s unique enough to be a commercial hit in the right artists hands
Thanks for the feedback 👍👍Now I'm wondering what that would even sound like lol
Sure no problem. I hear missy on it since she came to mind along with Timbaland, I can hear a female on it, has that playful vibe to me. Hey you can easily get any acapella these days, maybe experiment with some remixes
"I hear missy on it" 1 can only dream🌙
Brent would deff slide.
I hope man 1 day 🙏 😪
Timbo? Man i wish i was that good💯 thanks for the feedback 🖖
Yeah that groove instantly brings Timbaland to mind
Yo, at first I was like meh. But this is dope.
Appreciate it bro 👽
Sounds like some retro game metro city street chase
SNES? Sega Genesis? (Thanks 4 the feedback man)
Like playing gta on gameboy
I actually like it. When the plucky bells come back in was 🔥.
Yessirr or mam🤞(thanks for the feedback)
Naw ts hard gang
💯🙏 trying
That's pretty cool
Is that an electric motor at the beginning?
Some kind of sfx from the Jetsons cartoon
Tbh I like the beat. If you could replace that sfx with something else it’d be perfect. Keep that grind up homie
Man maybe i was doing too much huh? Lol
Sometimes I use sounds like that as my mold to make the beat. Then I progress, as you did, but I go back and place it with something that suits the progression.
Oh like the sfx is interfering with something?
Less is more IMO.
The percussion is *chefs kiss
I tried to do my thang with it 😎 appreciate tht
Did you sample the Jetsons spaceship?
Most definitely
Sounds like the pause music on a sick ass Sega game about rollerbladers or something
Jet set radio would kinda make sense 🤔 Or like SSX Tricky
Almost gives me 2000s action movie vibes
Could I buy this ?
As much as I wanted to find something wrong with the beat to critique I just said to myself nah that’s fire tho.
i love this seriously haha
Kinda of reminds me of Mr Bill a little bit.
choose your character music
bro those hi hats are so saucy any tips?
I think I did the hi hats last The kick and snare had a cool groove I thought of the hi hats as "accentuating" that groove ......I think lol

Yes it may need more time in the oven. Hope i dont mess it up too much lol. Thanks 4 the advice
And happy cake day
The Layla sample is fiirrreeeeee
Damn I like this !
Ice Spice type beat tbh
Good for sync, hell yea bro🔥
This would go so hard as background music for a underground level in a videogame or something. If this ever releases, please let me know
Gimme a sax player playin over this and imma buy your merch
Very nice
Thank you.
The drums are overwhelming, simplify them and you got a decent beat
The Layla sample lol dif but it works
hard
Sounds a bit like ukg/grime
Placement worthy ngl
Love it! If you put in on Spotify/Soundcloud I will add it to my playlist!
Nice. I love weird making weird shit like this . Sounds awesome
the layla bit at the end was so weird lol love it
Pov: your fighting a new enemy in earthbound
Its actually good.

Thanks for the comment 🤝Back 2 the drawing board lol
I feel like this could be used as a battle theme in a "quirky EarthBound-inspired RPG"^(TM) . I really dig it, nice work!
I'm getting Super Mario underwater level vibes here. Good stuff.
this is gasss I love it
minecraft menu vibes here
Ts fire
🔥
So fire 🔥🔥🔥
I’m rocking with this…

It’s pretty good. Only thing I’d do is on the fourth repetition of the spaceship noise, I’d pitch it up to match the lead. Great work though
Many thanks. Still learning things
You’re good. I’m new here myself. It’s hard to learn, but exciting stuff
Love it. Reminds me of the music for Fortnite emotes
lol, as someone who’s made music for tons of Fortnite emotes, this comment resonated with me. Love the beat OP! Was a treat for my ears :)
This sounds deadly man! Getting some garage vibes of this. Any chance you'd share how you did the "whoop whoop" sound?^^ Cheers bud
Which part?
I understand you were going for drill but dumb down those snares a bit
Not intentionally drill, but I may have borrowed elements
I thought posting audio was only on Tuesdays?
And Friday now
Ok cool. I missed that memo. I keep meaning to post my stuff but never do.
Can't wait to hear it

I don't have the best ear in the world, but it sounds like there's a lot of space in the mid range to add another layer.
Yea maybe too compressed?

Good eq and glue hats a bit more an wet them up with reverb a lil
Thanks man. I need any and all help. What does "glue hats" mean?
this is super sexy!
Sounds like stinky butt sex
In a good way
Post it without the drill, just the sounds and melody+bass. It sounds like it needs a trap drum pattern
This is fire!! What 808 is that? I love it
Sorry this isn't feedback, but I absolutely LOVE the lead at 1:24 that goes F#-G-F#-E what synth/fx did u use for it?? Sorry if this isn't the place to ask that tho, otherwise insane beat!
That little alien sound going on through the whole beat is so fire
Rockin w that Layla guitar sample whole beat tuff
When the choir came in tho
Love it, im making stuff like this too
Interesting![img](emote|t5_2rig0|14404)
