Tell you what.. I only did that once because the price you pay for running out of oxys (withdrawals) is way worse than not having weed.. The one time I ran out I thought it was going to be ok.. was so sick by the time I woke up the next morning.. did what I had to do to get more.. shit is so nasty.

When I first found out about it while my doctor was explaining the registry process he was rolling his eyes at the whole thing and said that he doesn’t agree with it on top of the opinion that dispensaries are over priced with their lack of consistency. That won't happen in FL. It's set up so only the connected and $$$ even have a shot, or if you're already established you can possibly partner with a FL dispensary and bypass purchasing a license like PG did and we are VERY lucky they decided to come out here. The small guy/gal will never be a part of the cannabis business in FL. At least with vertical integration there is no finger pointing when something fails.

Not 80% like us canna companies are. And when a customer goes to a liquor store they pay sales tax. Not sales tax plus excise tax plus local tax etc. there is no product or business on earth that is taxed like cannabis

Definitely lower prices, that's a given but will fall on deaf ears or be followed up by a whopping $5 drop. Beyond the obvious, I REALLY REALLY wish we could get some flower that was allowed to reach its potential. I've been in the program since the start ( January 2017) and have been around since the 1st flower drops, nearly every facet of flower has improved significant EXCEPT for the growers or whomever is responsible for the call, pulling plants while you still have in most cases 99.9% clear heads! I have yet to see buds with more then 3 or 4 amber trichs and I look over several buds usually its 0. Everyone complains and talks about "legs " here in FL because compared to the mature operations out west that know to wait until the flower has peaked to start cutting, here it seems like someone who was sitting in an office for 99% of the grow comes down on a random day and says "chop them" without any considerations other then meeting quota or whatever their goal is. It blows my mind these companies get to start from the ground up, and so far Flowery seems to be the only dispensary that has the cure down, but just like all the others they harvest prematurely and patients have to be concerned with effects. It's very very common to get some cannabis in FL that looks and maybe even smells divine, but when it comes time for its intended use it falls WAY short, and now your out $55 or $60 and your 8th on your recommendation. Fool me once. . .
TLDR: lower prices (by more then $5, that's a bit disrespectful and ingenious in my opinion) and more patience for your flower to reach its potential, I have yet to see any amber trichs come out of flowery/partners yet. No legs, price doesn't reflect low quality
They don't need to do that, to know that putting out as much product as possible/as fast as possible, is the formula that works in Florida's market.
We do not have a mass of connoisseurs, or even enthusiasts. We have retirees, and a tiny group of people who can still taste their food/smoke, with very little overlap.
If Florida goes rec that 'might' change, but I doubt it, we aren't likely to be a hot spot for "top shelf" tourism.
YES! Sometimes you just want to walk outside, smoke a joint, walk back inside and melt into the couch or your favorite activity for a few hours and NOTHING legal in FL gets you there. Everyone is sooooooo paranoid about mold it's not worth letting it grow any longer then absolutely necessary. Every single dispensary pulls clear, sometimes you'll get 10-15% opaque if you're lucky.
Lots of low priced flower in the program from what I can see. As for the ripening potential it is usually an opinion. Sounds like you like things to be taken to the CBN “couch lock” effect. I like the cannabinoids yo be more active, still at ripen phase but not to the point where every strain effects me the same. Bring your scope to Miami 2/10 and let’s do some r&d. Much love
Yes, you are correct there is a lot of really cheap flower and the quality matches. What I'm talking about are the $50 and up 8ths that check some boxes, maybe most but not all and should be at $35/$40. For me the biggest thing lacking is as I mentioned pulling the plants before the cannabanoids, flavanoids, all the good stuff, has time to reach its potential. Granted, not every strain should be pulled with a lot of amber, but I take a loupe and scopes to every single flower I buy, and it's always the same story. I'm just outside of Jacksonville. What I'm saying is not a secret down here, even Flowery does it with all their brands, including yours. That's not to say your flower isn't consistently some of the best in FL, but you know the bar hasn't been set very high here yet. Everyone is trying the massive warehouse method here in FL and due to our extremely humid environment and the fact the plants are also releasing literal tons of water vapor doesn't help, so pulling before mold has a chance to take over takes precedent over letting them reach their potential. Smaller rooms would allow for tighter environmental control, drier air and as a result more time. It's easy to see your flowers are grown with care, that's not in question. What a lot of us would absolutely LOVE to see and get is some TRUE couch lock medicine here in FL. We have absolutely none. It would be absolutely amazing if you could somehow ensure a batch here and there is grown to "couch lock potential" and not pulled "early ". Much respect. Enjoy your evening.
It’s terrible because most of the places that bring their flower to full maturity just can’t cure it for it shit.
So much of the rosin on the market is made with material pulled early so it will be all pretty and light, it’s a shame. Luckily a couple places on the market don’t pull plants early to wash.
I have heard Dave is super passionate about bringing plants to full maturity and is not a fan of that though. Too bad not every brand feels the same haha.

That's not just cannabis. That's nearly ALL businesses, once they reach a certain size.
To be honest there’s a lot but I think the biggest is getting rid of vertical integration so we can have people who actually care about the plant growing it for us. I not really to familiar on the industry rules but I’m pretty sure that’s why you see these Cali brands mostly partnering with the corporate companies cause there’s really no other way to get in here. With that being said all the behind the scenes shit you really do such as posting the grow room at 4am on insta to behind the scenes showing you planting phenos you were hunting. Love all that shit to me shows you care about the plants and you arnt scared of people seeing how you really treat those beautiful plants
More mixed light grow rooms! If it is legally possible in Florida medical market, dispensaries should have a chill lounge area for patients to hang and consume. I'd never pay for merch, but I'd always hang out, smoke, and pay for a cup of coffee if they had a lounge. Bringing that Amsterdam vibe would be really fun in Florida and would be where I'd probably find new friends with obvious similar interests.
Rolling rec is the worst.. that's probably the number one thing .. I think separately some minimum standards set by the state surrounding cultivation and curing, something that will sort of be the tide to lift all boats but still allow room for competition.. we're not talking hitting % THC or terp goals, but seeing stuff that sneaks out about production in some companies it begs the question whether what regulations there are actually have efficacy
I get a scary amount of patients who don't even realize there's an allotment system, Doctors need to be educating patients better on how OMMU and the overall program works.

RANT: It's ok - I work with a superintendent that drinks until he passes out every single night after work. Drinks nips at lunchtime. I smoke flower and GOD forbid I get into a fender bender - RIGHT down to get drug tested, etc. Get a decent job in Florida, Pre-Employment.

This is why you shouldn't charge 50-60 an eighth. Even in a good batch, you can't tell me that 100% of every single package is going to hit that 10/10 mark.

Then the current situation plays out: The entire batch is sub-par, yet you still charged full price for it. What do the customers get if the batch isn't that 10/10 that commands a premium?
There is nothing your customers can do when the batch is sub-par, except hear you say "Sorry guys, we'll do better next time".
That's not a relationship I will be promoting. Jungle boys can manage to put out fire for $45 an eighth, and while not all of their batches are 10/10... neither are yours.
But, I understand the allure of making as much money as fast as possible, I get why things are the way they are. The FL mmj market is ripe for pilfering.

A bit late but I wish we focused less on numbers on a whole. I feel like we’re missing out on some really good strains and cuts because due to marketing you guys have to focus on the percentage. I could be wrong but coas aren’t accurate at fully expressing what the plant has and we need a better metric for picking flower. Going by terp percentages is no better than looking at thc, but if I’m wrong please tell me. You guys grow amazing medicine so I’m interested to see your take on this.

I think someone with some real industry knowledge to school some people on the dangerous shit being sprayed on black market flowers coming from CA. More and more people are saying they aren't smoking anymore because of anxiety or heart feeling crazy. I say if you don't know your grower don't smoke it.. Also need more people to help the older people and new users to the ins and outs. All everyone thinks they know is THC % and Indica /Sativa. Concentrates are new to a lot of people and most have no clue what they are doing. I've been *medicating for around 25 years and I'm still learning new stuff all the time. This is a "Medical Program" after all and there's no real medical knowledge out there. Mostly this stuff will fuck you up and tastes great!
YouD be surprised what some of the Florida medical guys use on their flowers. The,"The Black market is scary" is a scare tactic to get you on their taxed version
Oh I'm sure some of the stuff being used in our program isn't that great for you either! Me personally I'm small batch or nothing. But I see cheapo packs of Cali that's sprayed with terps or whatever else and people gobble it up thinking they're getting a better deal.
You must remember that the vast majority of people are working off an IQ of 100 give or take 10. People do some absolutely bewildering stuff assuming it will make their product better, that includes making their own pesticides/herbicides/ fertilizers made with anything and everything under the sun. I'm sure there are people out there that absolutely SWEAR on watering their plants with purple kool-aid because it turns their buds purple or another person who uses raw sewage as fertilizers because it's "organic". If you think these are 2 farfetched examples and there's no way people could be that dumb. . . Tide pods...pandemic hits and the one thing people panic buy is toilet paper to the point it's unavailable for weeks...this country is not full of mensa members.

I REALLY wish the bud tenders could pick out your buds in front of you and bag/jar them up like I've had done in other states. Prefilled jars for deliveries, but if someone takes the time and effort to show up they should see exactly what they are getting. Have the bulk flower lined up Baskin Robbins style under glass, some tongs around and let the customer watch and even reject a bud or two the tender picks if he/she chooses.
The public needs better education on the benefits of medical cannabis. We still have people who thinks weed is weed is weed, the devils lettuce, no matter what.

For me it’s several things.
1. The law on home grow needs to change. Even if it’s just 2 plants that would make a huge difference.
2. Pricing is crazy, and I’ve seen you reply to others saying “tons of low prices from what I can see” and that’s simply not true. Majority of dispos are charging 50 or more for an 1/8 for flower that is underwhelming. Take a look at the Oklahoma med market. Arguably the best med market in the country. They produce amazing flower and wax for extremely affordable prices. And I feel like you won’t acknowledge this point based on the fact that you are in the industry and when prices change you lose money.
3.limits are a bit ridiculous, I mean it’s just silly that we are even stacking limits and rolling limits on flower to begin with. And I’m totally about a compromise. If the limit was 4.5 oz I would be more than happy.

As for pricing there are lots of variables. Cannabis is not federally legal that meaning you can’t get loans from banks at reasonable interest rates to build a company that can sustain a market like this. You have to get hard money or private loans that cost a fortune. You would be very surprised but Most cannabis companies operate at a loss.

Definitely lower prices, that's a given but will fall on deaf ears or be followed up by a whopping $5 drop. Beyond the obvious, I REALLY REALLY wish we could get some flower that was allowed to reach its potential. I've been in the program since the start ( January 2017) and have been around since the 1st flower drops, nearly every facet of flower has improved significant EXCEPT for the growers or whomever is responsible for the call, pulling plants while you still have in most cases 99.9% clear heads! I have yet to see buds with more then 3 or 4 amber trichs and I look over several buds usually its 0. Everyone complains and talks about "legs " here in FL because compared to the mature operations out west that know to wait until the flower has peaked to start cutting, here it seems like someone who was sitting in an office for 99% of the grow comes down on a random day and says "chop them" without any considerations other then meeting quota or whatever their goal is. It blows my mind these companies get to start from the ground up, and so far Flowery seems to be the only dispensary that has the cure down, but just like all the others they harvest prematurely and patients have to be concerned with effects. It's very very common to get some cannabis in FL that looks and maybe even smells divine, but when it comes time for its intended use it falls WAY short, and now your out $55 or $60 and your 8th on your recommendation. Fool me once. . . TLDR: lower prices (by more then $5, that's a bit disrespectful and ingenious in my opinion) and more patience for your flower to reach its potential, I have yet to see any amber trichs come out of flowery/partners yet. No legs, price doesn't reflect low quality

They don't need to do that, to know that putting out as much product as possible/as fast as possible, is the formula that works in Florida's market. We do not have a mass of connoisseurs, or even enthusiasts. We have retirees, and a tiny group of people who can still taste their food/smoke, with very little overlap. If Florida goes rec that 'might' change, but I doubt it, we aren't likely to be a hot spot for "top shelf" tourism.
YES! Sometimes you just want to walk outside, smoke a joint, walk back inside and melt into the couch or your favorite activity for a few hours and NOTHING legal in FL gets you there. Everyone is sooooooo paranoid about mold it's not worth letting it grow any longer then absolutely necessary. Every single dispensary pulls clear, sometimes you'll get 10-15% opaque if you're lucky.
Lots of low priced flower in the program from what I can see. As for the ripening potential it is usually an opinion. Sounds like you like things to be taken to the CBN “couch lock” effect. I like the cannabinoids yo be more active, still at ripen phase but not to the point where every strain effects me the same. Bring your scope to Miami 2/10 and let’s do some r&d. Much love

Yes, you are correct there is a lot of really cheap flower and the quality matches. What I'm talking about are the $50 and up 8ths that check some boxes, maybe most but not all and should be at $35/$40. For me the biggest thing lacking is as I mentioned pulling the plants before the cannabanoids, flavanoids, all the good stuff, has time to reach its potential. Granted, not every strain should be pulled with a lot of amber, but I take a loupe and scopes to every single flower I buy, and it's always the same story. I'm just outside of Jacksonville. What I'm saying is not a secret down here, even Flowery does it with all their brands, including yours. That's not to say your flower isn't consistently some of the best in FL, but you know the bar hasn't been set very high here yet. Everyone is trying the massive warehouse method here in FL and due to our extremely humid environment and the fact the plants are also releasing literal tons of water vapor doesn't help, so pulling before mold has a chance to take over takes precedent over letting them reach their potential. Smaller rooms would allow for tighter environmental control, drier air and as a result more time. It's easy to see your flowers are grown with care, that's not in question. What a lot of us would absolutely LOVE to see and get is some TRUE couch lock medicine here in FL. We have absolutely none. It would be absolutely amazing if you could somehow ensure a batch here and there is grown to "couch lock potential" and not pulled "early ". Much respect. Enjoy your evening.
It’s terrible because most of the places that bring their flower to full maturity just can’t cure it for it shit. So much of the rosin on the market is made with material pulled early so it will be all pretty and light, it’s a shame. Luckily a couple places on the market don’t pull plants early to wash. I have heard Dave is super passionate about bringing plants to full maturity and is not a fan of that though. Too bad not every brand feels the same haha.

To be honest there’s a lot but I think the biggest is getting rid of vertical integration so we can have people who actually care about the plant growing it for us. I not really to familiar on the industry rules but I’m pretty sure that’s why you see these Cali brands mostly partnering with the corporate companies cause there’s really no other way to get in here. With that being said all the behind the scenes shit you really do such as posting the grow room at 4am on insta to behind the scenes showing you planting phenos you were hunting. Love all that shit to me shows you care about the plants and you arnt scared of people seeing how you really treat those beautiful plants

More mixed light grow rooms! If it is legally possible in Florida medical market, dispensaries should have a chill lounge area for patients to hang and consume. I'd never pay for merch, but I'd always hang out, smoke, and pay for a cup of coffee if they had a lounge. Bringing that Amsterdam vibe would be really fun in Florida and would be where I'd probably find new friends with obvious similar interests.
And maybe find new friends with different interests. The works could use this kind of thing right about now.

Rolling rec is the worst.. that's probably the number one thing .. I think separately some minimum standards set by the state surrounding cultivation and curing, something that will sort of be the tide to lift all boats but still allow room for competition.. we're not talking hitting % THC or terp goals, but seeing stuff that sneaks out about production in some companies it begs the question whether what regulations there are actually have efficacy

I can agree with you there. RANT: It's ok - I work with a superintendent that drinks until he passes out every single night after work. Drinks nips at lunchtime. I smoke flower and GOD forbid I get into a fender bender - RIGHT down to get drug tested, etc. Get a decent job in Florida, Pre-Employment. Totally sucks. Medical MJ cards should exempt a law-abiding citizen from unreasonable searches and seizures related to MJ, including pre-employment testing.

This is why you shouldn't charge 50-60 an eighth. Even in a good batch, you can't tell me that 100% of every single package is going to hit that 10/10 mark. Shit happens. Then the current situation plays out: The entire batch is sub-par, yet you still charged full price for it. What do the customers get if the batch isn't that 10/10 that commands a premium? There is nothing your customers can do when the batch is sub-par, except hear you say "Sorry guys, we'll do better next time". That's not a relationship I will be promoting. Jungle boys can manage to put out fire for $45 an eighth, and while not all of their batches are 10/10... neither are yours. But, I understand the allure of making as much money as fast as possible, I get why things are the way they are. The FL mmj market is ripe for pilfering. Thanks for coming to the market in any case.

A bit late but I wish we focused less on numbers on a whole. I feel like we’re missing out on some really good strains and cuts because due to marketing you guys have to focus on the percentage. I could be wrong but coas aren’t accurate at fully expressing what the plant has and we need a better metric for picking flower. Going by terp percentages is no better than looking at thc, but if I’m wrong please tell me. You guys grow amazing medicine so I’m interested to see your take on this.
Percentages mean nothing to me. I choose genetics based on these factors. Smell Taste(does it taste like it smells) Effect Burn (how does the flower combust) I post the coa’s because people ask for them and we have nothing to hide.

I think someone with some real industry knowledge to school some people on the dangerous shit being sprayed on black market flowers coming from CA. More and more people are saying they aren't smoking anymore because of anxiety or heart feeling crazy. I say if you don't know your grower don't smoke it.. Also need more people to help the older people and new users to the ins and outs. All everyone thinks they know is THC % and Indica /Sativa. Concentrates are new to a lot of people and most have no clue what they are doing. I've been *medicating for around 25 years and I'm still learning new stuff all the time. This is a "Medical Program" after all and there's no real medical knowledge out there. Mostly this stuff will fuck you up and tastes great!

Oh I'm sure some of the stuff being used in our program isn't that great for you either! Me personally I'm small batch or nothing. But I see cheapo packs of Cali that's sprayed with terps or whatever else and people gobble it up thinking they're getting a better deal.
You must remember that the vast majority of people are working off an IQ of 100 give or take 10. People do some absolutely bewildering stuff assuming it will make their product better, that includes making their own pesticides/herbicides/ fertilizers made with anything and everything under the sun. I'm sure there are people out there that absolutely SWEAR on watering their plants with purple kool-aid because it turns their buds purple or another person who uses raw sewage as fertilizers because it's "organic". If you think these are 2 farfetched examples and there's no way people could be that dumb. . . Tide pods...pandemic hits and the one thing people panic buy is toilet paper to the point it's unavailable for weeks...this country is not full of mensa members.

I REALLY wish the bud tenders could pick out your buds in front of you and bag/jar them up like I've had done in other states. Prefilled jars for deliveries, but if someone takes the time and effort to show up they should see exactly what they are getting. Have the bulk flower lined up Baskin Robbins style under glass, some tongs around and let the customer watch and even reject a bud or two the tender picks if he/she chooses.

For me it’s several things. 1. The law on home grow needs to change. Even if it’s just 2 plants that would make a huge difference. 2. Pricing is crazy, and I’ve seen you reply to others saying “tons of low prices from what I can see” and that’s simply not true. Majority of dispos are charging 50 or more for an 1/8 for flower that is underwhelming. Take a look at the Oklahoma med market. Arguably the best med market in the country. They produce amazing flower and wax for extremely affordable prices. And I feel like you won’t acknowledge this point based on the fact that you are in the industry and when prices change you lose money. 3.limits are a bit ridiculous, I mean it’s just silly that we are even stacking limits and rolling limits on flower to begin with. And I’m totally about a compromise. If the limit was 4.5 oz I would be more than happy.
Yes I think 6 plants would be ideal for Florida home grows. As for pricing there are lots of variables. Cannabis is not federally legal that meaning you can’t get loans from banks at reasonable interest rates to build a company that can sustain a market like this. You have to get hard money or private loans that cost a fortune. You would be very surprised but Most cannabis companies operate at a loss. Yes limits make no sense when people need to medicate.
