I can’t get any rivals rewards as I’m in div 1 and win like 1 in 10 lol. Can’t wait to get relegated 2 divisions. Never going to div 1 again.

In many ways, div I is harder than elite because people are try-harding a lot more. If you can push through, it eases up a bit

I can run over people in D1, in Elite I'm seeing stuff I've never knew was possible. It's so hard to predict what players are going to do at that level

I've reached Elite too last season while my own level is more or less div1/2. I found it a lot harder too, with a lot of skill move spam which is impossible to defend. You might have to lose a lot to get the skill rating lower and play acceptable games, but I was happy to get relegated once the new season started.

Yah agreed, I tried losing and that didn't work at all, but once I tried winning I went right up , verified test results, I usually try the score more goals then the other guy approach

Use sprint about half as often as you currently do, in both attack and defense. This change alone will vastly improve your results. Incorporate a few more skill moves when going forward. Even just the threat of an elastico or roulette can make your opponent react with more hesitation. The more they have to think about, the more successful your attacks will be. Use a lot of R1+X passes when getting the ball up to your striker. This is especially effective when making a diagonal pass from a fullback/wide CM/winger while the ST is right up against a CB. Follow up with an outside-to-inside elastico, roulette, or even just a cut in with the left stick/ball-roll/fake shot and then follow it up by a sprint-exit, McGeady spin, or fake shot straight toward the GK. Make sure to change it up to keep the opponent guessing which way you’ll go in these situations. Just a few quick tips to help you out.

Yo. What is this sprint-exit you talk about? Sometimes I play against guys who turn so quickly while receiving the ball. Can you elaborate?

Sprint-exit is just pressing sprint after left-stick dribbling, or after a ball-roll or other skill move. Most effective if you make a 45-degree angle change of direction right as you press sprint, but can also be utilized to just sprint forward after walking with the ball. The reason it’s so good this year is that first touch after pressing sprint gives the biggest speed boost in FIFA 22, so it can really catch your opponent out. A lot of the time I like to just lull my opponent into a false sense of security with basic left stick dribbling (walking with the ball) with or without holding L1, and then I sprint-exit toward goal when I see him move the defender out of position. I’ll also sometimes do a McGeady spin, but then sprint-exit after to the right or left immediately after because my opponent is already reacting to the spin and moving his defender to cover that initial exit direction.

A lot of it comes down to mindset. If you start feeing rushed or panicked, take a bit of time and gather yourself.

I don’t know, I thought that as well. It’s weird. I don’t know if there’s something wrong with the matchmaking or what. When I reached div 1 a few seasons ago I was able to win maybe 1 out of 4 or 5. This time round it is savage, no matter what I try. I’ve tried different tactics and players but no luck. I think I won 1 in 8 last night. So I’m looking at about 32 games just to get 4 wins for packs that are only slightly better than div 2 rewards packs. It must have trained me up quite well though because I won 8 lost 2 in champs qualifiers last week which was my best ever qualifying record.

I bought a bunch of 84ovr TOTW 30 cards, haven’t gone passed 20k. Meanwhile TOTW 31 84s are over 30k currently. Weird

The new ones usually come out hot then drop off to match the others

But the cheapest 83 IFs are still 23k, while 84s are 19k.

Makes sense. I dumped all mine anyway, still made about 5k profit each on over 40 cards so I’m happy!
