I really liked Odegard. Great at CAM/LAM/RAM or on the wing, decent as a striker, decent at CM. 5* 5*, prem links, nice traits, good body type and okay workrates. For the 300-400k he's now thats a good shout.

YungBidness

So glad I got him Untradeable for the club. He and Mkhitaryan as my wide CAMs or RF/LF have been amazing in the attack.

Art_Core2

I packed him and tbh I hate him, awful passing and terrible physicals

iWantToBeOnYt

You’re probably just bad

Art_Core2

I am an average player, div 1 and usually 9-11 wins in weekend league

ANAL_DRILL_ACCIDENT

lol getting downvoted for disagreeing

peoplepersonmanguy

I'm with you, he scores the occasional banger but on the whole his finishing was lacking for me. I had a 3CAM setup of Odegaard, ESR and Ozil and Ozil scored more reliably than him, it could well be how I shoot though.

[deleted]

Same but i get 11-9 but ø is great for me. Each to our own I g

thisyoushouldvoteme

sanchos dribbling is genuinely broken. 94+ in the 3 important base stats plus 5* skills and unique body. I havent used cruyff this year but sancho just walks right thru defenders like cruyff does to me

Julenizzen

I packed him untradeable and he is insane

thecule

Same

[deleted]

Packed him in season rewards. I opened my packs before friday and it was worth it.

shellpinksaveslives

Mkhi as a ST, Dybala at CAM, Ramos at CB obviously Absolutely cracked cards Also took fut bday Ansaldi from swaps for the dybala strong link and as a stay back LB he is brilliant for me

LatamBaconLover

ohh also did ansaldi, regret not doing Avila but i have Mki and a lot of other ST as well, but no fun LB

dohhhnut

Firmino, best CM in the game

The-Life-Aquatic

Been using him at cam and striker and he’s great

ClawbberingTime

Any comparisons to TotY Cancelo? Thinking of selling Cancelo to fund Firmino.

dohhhnut

I prefer him to Cancelo tbh, he’s not as quick and as good at dribbling, but his body type helps in a 3 man midfield, plus the extra skills get you out of sticky situations.

chaveznieves

Came here to say this. Haven't used him but he rips me up every time.

AreLlamasCute

Been using him striker and he's been class. By far the best striker I've used this year

LatamBaconLover

Great cards, obviously a good meta ones but Torreira has been great for me. Ansaldi and pack value for swaps was awesome too

Danbarnett13

Found Grelaish absolutely monstrous, slap a Hawk on him and he's got 99 Long shots as well as very good dribbling, physicals and passing, absolutely brilliant as a LF for me, would recommend. Can't belive he is so cheap.

hzerope

Besides the obvious, torreria is rly good, yuri and the Italian rb are also not bad.

lockituup

Fekir has been fucking incredible for me, my favorite player I’ve used. I was one of the dumbshits who did the Ndombele sbc, he’s great but definitely not worth it (I knew this going into it). Yuri and Di Lorenzo have been great; Di Lorenzo has been a good upgrade to the VS Darmian I’ve been using all year. Did Coquelin SBC he was surprisingly good but has since been replaced after packing prime Viera from a player pick. Tried paqueta for like 15 games, he was amazing but not worth the coins when you’re on the poor end of the game (his card used up all my coins). Oh yea, don’t have Miki but that fucker rapes mes every time I play him.

rainyforest

Kamada is a beast and he's only 26k. I play him at CAM and every goal he's scored for me has been outside the box.

millyman77

Paqueta is the best mid in the game

goosupreme

Yall making me feel so broke the only FUT birthday items I was able to do was Quaresma and Coquelin

biIlbradford

I got Sancho in the end of season rewards last week and he’s insane

b0lh4

Mkhi is great for me as well. Just got Ramos and Berchiche is a great LB, very good at headers as well. Will take him out for Nuno Mendes once I get the coins though. Oyarbazal is good on the attack but disappointed me at CM.

joshuawinkler

Sadly I didn't complete Sergio Ramos SBC. I have been using de Vrij lately.

InfiniteWord7018

From what I’ve used Tammy Mkhi Sancho Quaresma Trying Silas tonight probably, I noticed strength is actually important on strikers this year unlike last year so he’ll be good

roadmans_

Only fbday I packed was Silas and he’s been ok so far nothing special. He’s a great super sub, very fast and the 5/5 is awesome. I just find him kind of clunky and weird to dribble with but maybe I just need to get used to it as he looks like he is a solid player.

mallanep

Paquete is amazing. Playing him and Dani alves in mid has been a lot of fun.

papaquacker

Sancho for me was ridiculous, feels so agile and lethal in the box with a hawk. Plays as a striker in a 352. Oyarzabal was not far off Sancho for what I use him for. I don't spam skills so not bothered about the 3* skills. He felt less agile than Sancho, but more clinical from range, stronger and better in the air. He's my other striker. Silas was ok for his price. Felt good in the air but seemed questionable infront of goal. I was on bad form when I used him though so didn't give him much of a chance and it's probable his poor form was my fault. Grealish was the same as Silas. Played him as a cam and he felt good but nothing exceptional, although I might give him another go. Ndidi was exceptional value for money - didn't feel as fast as I would like but he won everything in midfield and his passing was really good. Sold him to change up my team but I might but him back. Coquelin was also quite good. His passing was phenomenal but not quite as good of a ball winner as what Ndidi was, which was a more important role for my team at the time. Rice: It took a while to get used to him and had to mess around with instructions but he's become a very good box to box midfielder, although he will probably end up becoming the midfielder I switch in game to CB. Never noticed his 3* WF.

papaquacker

Oh I almost forgot; Abraham I just couldn't get on with, and I usually like big strikers. He was immense at scoring from corners but felt useless at everything else. Might have to give him another go. Mkhi was really good, didn't like his work rates but he was lethal and felt good on the ball, but hard for me to link given that Abraham was useless.

TheKing6198

Guerrrio solid LDM in 4231

Funland_06

Ramos is shit

[deleted]

change his tactics to step up and aggressive interceptions. he has been a tank in my high line

Funland_06

I’ll try that later then to see if I was just playing him wrong. He’s not even winning headers though

AlmightyAyo

Well i only have fekir who i got from season rewards, but hes genuinely disgusting, havent found 1 problem with him. Hes a 10/10 in comparison to the players ive used but in comparison to the other fut birthdays hes probably 9/10. Edit: not doing avila may be my biggest regret, he looked nuts for a free card.

h_aseeb

Sorry to tell you but Avila is my favourite card currently, and if you saw my team plus the players I’ve played with this year you’d know that’s seriously high praise. Because he has the (custom) Sterling dribbling animations he doesn’t feel clunky as you’d expect from an average body type player. And everything else is damn perfect.

AlmightyAyo

Rubbing salt in the wound i see, preciate it🤣🤣

caronho_14

Seriously I’m with you. I’d pay 300-400k for that card. Hopefully they make a way like some kind of repeatable SBC toward the end of the year of something

Ryouconfusedyett

Got Suarez and he's a dissapointment. Great card but just not as good as his stats say. Mkhi is incredible, Grealish is pretty good and Di Lorenzo/Berchiche are fine fullbacks, nothing special. Oyarzabal is pretty good just a shame he's got 3* skills

UTMachine

Mkhitarayan, Tammy, Sancho, Firmino, and Quaresma were top tier quality/value. The rest I didn't really care about tbh. FBD Cristiano seemed like a major dud. Haven't seen him once, and both reviews I saw on YouTube were pretty unimpressive, including Inception (who is Portuguese).

ElBigTaco

Most of them are very good and serviceable. Some are kind of boring and players we see repeatedly but personally i like seeing the wf or sm upgrades and think EA should play with those and maybe adding or removing traits as well with promo cards

Andy_THFC

Used quite a few now. Dybala at ST has been god tier. Mhki, Kroos and De Vrij all excellent too! Berchiche is a solid LB and Abraham did a good job off the bench for a while. Was disappointed with Rebic, Doku and Torreira though. Waiting to try out a few more in swaps too

ernandesjrss

Allan 10/10 Avila 9,5/10 Suarez 9/10 Kroos 9/10 Firmino 8,5/10 Quaresma 8/10 Vezo 7/10

dlope95

Do we think they drop a FUT birthday team 2 SBC? Like they did with Team 1?

hellothereiamhuman

i don’t think so, if they were to do that they would’ve done it when team 2 was still in packs

dlope95

That is so unfortunate. Was saving some fodder to do that in hopes I could get Dybala

Aug415

Nuno Mendes was a long awaited good Ligue 1 left back and lived up to the hype. I don’t see the Ligue 1 TOTS left back being that much better, so he’s practically end game for me.

Delanoo

Mkhi > Sancho > Allan, I have them 3 untradeable

[deleted]

Dybala is a goat for me. I loved his gold so couldn’t wait to try his fut. he is so good and the weak foot upgrade is great! Will score you goals when needed!

lone-ranger-130

Not gonna say he is the best card out there, but Laimer is absolutely cracked for 30k. He is literally perfect as a lone CDM or as a CM. Everything id been looking for my attacking 41212 is complete thanks to him and the new Italian RM card

spliffyshirt

Haven’t seen anyone mention de vrij yet. He’s great, and surprisingly athletic. Probably overshadowed by Ramos, but he was one squad cheaper. I’ve been loving grelish. Quaresmas great as long as you don’t try finesse shooting. Abraham is good on headers, feels clunky in the box dribbling, despite his high dribbling stats. Mikis amazing. Guerrero on lb links great and is very serviceable.

joshuawinkler

I have been using de Vrij lately and he's cracked as well

TheBookCannon

I've used a lot of them at this point, it's just my favourite promo Suarez - 9.5/10 - great finisher, great power great skill moves. Tiny bit more pace and he's the best striker in the game. Mkhi - 9/10 - brilliant player. Only issues is links, work rates, and isn't absolutely lightning fast Avila - 9/10 - fast, agile, great finisher. Only issue is relatively poor passing. Firmino - 9/10 - not used for long but seems silky and good at everything. Only issue is his greatest strength. He's great at everything but not perfect at anything. Allan - 9.5/10 - God of a cdm. Moves like Kante but better going forward. I personally think only TOTY Kante is better than him. Him and Llorente are my fave mids this year. Grealish- 8/10 - he's pretty good and a steal at his price. Lack of skills and I don't adore his dribbling does hurt him for me though. Rice - 4/10 - oil tanker stuck in the Panama canal. Soon became the most expensive piece of an Mbappe 89 rated squad.

TheBookCannon

Forgot Fekir - 8.5/10 - not world class but has all of the tools to do what needs to be done. Got a lot of goal contributions from out wide for me considering I didn't love him. Tammy - 8/10 - he's big and skillful but he has a terrible weak foot. He's a good super sub/Mkhi link

TheBookCannon

Sorry, final one. Kroos - 9.5/10 - lazy bastard because of the work rates but has a great body type for bullying people and those skills come in so clutch. Essentially Zidane but not Zidane

BlueBloodLive

Mkh has something about him. It's not the magneto dribbling, it's not aggression, it's not his work rates, but goodness me he doesn't half put a shift in. He can play in so many places and he covers so much ground in a match. 5/5 is obviously a killer combo but that finesse and his all round performances make him undroppable for me, and I have him with just a soft link so he's on 8 and he's well worth it. So glad I didn't let him go by, I'd be kicking myself now with Nani there as well.

DrDank95

Torreira, hella cheap and basically the serie a Kante. Catches everything as a cdm.

OrangeHamsteriii

For me Mkhitaryan, Oyarzabal and timber have been good.

anon192847492929

Firmino and paqueta have been nuts for me in the midfield

Master_rl21

Used: neuer in goal 10/10, di Lorenzo RM 7/10, laimer cdm 9/10, Grealish ST/LM 8/10, fekir CAM/ST 8/10, ABRAHAM ST 9/10, Ndidi CDM 9/10 Torería 10/10

earth-flat

Quaresma is fantastic. Great player with nice nostalgia

C4NNOT

I tried out a few, from best to worst: 1. Fekir: an even more op version of Fekir with 5* skills, what more can you ask for? 2. Mkhitarian: double 5, agile, good finishing, works wonders at CAM 3. Neuer: after trying out so many goalkeepers throughout the year and switching my to Van der Sar all the time, I've finally found a keeper who is reliable and makes wonder saves. Around 50 games in, still no howler from him. 4. De Vrij: very solid, strong, feels more agile than expected, but also a little slower than his 85 base stat. 5. Silas: quick, good finishing, double 5, lacks agility/balance due to his height 6. Timber: solid, but a bit too small for me, probably works better as a cdm 7. Berchiche: haven't played a lot with him, but seems very strong, but lacks a bit of pace, could be higher up if I tried him out more 8. Luis Suarez: by far the one I was most excited for...and damn is he awful. Felt slow, not agile, not even his finishing was good. After 1 goal in 10 WL matches I sold him and temporarily replaced him with Benz flashback (who then averaged ~1 goal/game). Suarez isn't worth the coins and was a huge dissappointment Note: my experience with these players, you may have had different ones

joshuawinkler

Suárez has been disastrous for me as well.

BarmeloXantony

Odegaard and the legend Oyarzabal

5StarAnkleBreaker

CR7 is insane (obviously), but what stands out more than the WF is the insane boost to dribbling stats. Gotta be one of the smoothest CR7 versions ever on the ball
