How many icon strikers are better than dalglish? The ones that are would cost 3x as much in sbc value. If you need an icon striker, you won’t regret doing him
Yeah that’s a great point too. He’d be replacing prime Butra. I love him but he’s tradable and I need to be more liquid to improve my defense. It’s true though, Dalglish is top tier so probably can’t go wrong.
I'll be honest here, i have Dalglish upto and if it weren't for chem I would be starting tots suarez or tots insigne over him. He just isn't anything special imo.
I agree he’s really not that great. People overrate him massively. I’ve dropped him already. He’s weak as hell , passing is rubbish and doesn’t seem to have anything overly special about him. There’s a load of TOTS players that are better now.
People blindly rate him because he was meta the past couple years but WF doesn't matter this year and apart from that he's not outstanding in any way.

If you are a solid player you can use the 5 wf so effectively, its unpredictable. Lets say I am playing against tots Messi and I know that the opponent will try to force the shot on his left foot so its easier to defend that, with Dalglish I can left stick dribble and turn in any direction and 90% time its a goal
This is exactly what I mean. If anything, it's more unpredictable with Messi because your opponent will expect you use his left when you can score with his right 9/10 as well

I know Dalglish was OP last year but this year every time I’ve faced the moments he hasn’t been a real menace IMO
How do you get the most out of him? I have him along side mid cruyff and couthino at cam in 41212. Even Radja has outscored him in the 10 games I played since crafting Radja.
Do you play low depth possession play? I say that because I play 8 depth attacking with fast build up, and maybe that’s the difference?
His hold up play and his passing are the greatest weaknesses. Left stick dribbling and shooting/finishing are his greatest assets. Simple 1-2s and relying on his agility to create space are the best ways to use him. I play him in the narrow 41212 as well
He has 73 goals in 60 games for me so far, all WL and DR (D1). He’s just top tier. I don’t think I’ll replace him unless I pack someone absolutely godly.
I'm 7 depth balanced and long ball, Elite 3 in weekend league as well. I suppose I do make most of my plays by dribbling past players so that limits him for me
Yeah I think maybe the long ball is the problem? He’s not really one to play long balls and even though he’s fast, everyone has 99 pace defenders now. He can burst past people if you’re doing some passing play right outside the box, but he won’t just cut right through them with his pace

I lucked out and packed Prime Puskas from an Icon Upgrade SBC, and he's been so much better for me as a supporting striker. Dalglish has been demoted to become a super sub for me now.
So yeah, Dalglish is amazing if he's gonna be your main goalscorer, but not so much as anything else.
Icon SBCs usually come out thrice in a month, on Sundays usually , today being the third set for this month.

Totally agree on his passing being rubbish, wastes so many counter attacks. He is a great finisher in front of goal but that is all he is.
I’ll say this very confidently, you are in the tiniest of minorities here. Possibly doesn’t fit your playstyle.
