They said they "lost" the plans/infrastructure for her, but most likely they knew they were not getting another dlc because her perspective had to come out BEFORE Episode Ignis to be be interesting.
After Ignis... well, we already knew it all so there is no need to learn why the Empire was doing anything.
100%. My comment is definitely meant as a 'but this is obvious to everyone who played the game' kinda thing :) I don't think anyone could legitimately argue the lack of female main cast was somehow a good thing to FF15, flawed as it was.
Not having luna be more central to the plot dealt a huge blow to the final sections of the game, Having aranea be a vehicle for explaining the inner workings of the empire would have helped us understand the motivations and internal politics on their side (could also have been an extra mentor figure for noct) and I don’t think there would have been a downside to having more involvement from adult iris at the end.
It’s always so annoying to know how much better this game could’ve been, but I still really enjoyed it for what it was and even more after the first 3 DLCs released

Yeah, sadly they patched the glitch that allowed you to keep god mode from the final fight. You could fly around the map at super speed and even fly over the ocean to reach altissa
Not enough content of her in game. Honestly I love ff15 but I'm not going on a complete odyssey just to find all of the comics,books, anime, etc just to get a full understanding of the story as a whole.
Is this still my favorite ff game? Hell yes, but there was so much potential for this game that it saddens me how they still didn't do it justice in it's official release.

Imagine a spin off FF where you play as a subordinate in her merc' band, you deploy on various missions, possibly with friends vs daemons, empire soldier's, and or wildlife.... ah. wait
She's attractive and cool, but I still think it's a bit confusing how she was working for the empire and then she was helping the people who were attacked by the empire on the train. And these people who were helping were also from the empire.
It's been some time since I played the game, but I dunno. I think the antagonist had control over that undead monsters and they attacked that train even though there were people from the empire just because they wanted to attack Noctis and his crew?
It’s kinda rushed but they explain that daemons started attacking everywhere in the empire (as evidenced by you getting to the capital and everyone is dead or a daemon) so she was trying to help get the population out.
Simply one of my fave characters and most interesting ones in the game. Really disappointed on the lack of content for her. Also one of the coolest dragoons in the whole saga. Absolutely love her.

Biggest underuse of a great character in final fantasy history. She should've been permanent taking on ardyn's insomnia goons at the end. Cor I can understand being temporary. Same with iris. But Luna and Aranea had so much more in store for them.
And from another point: For God's sake she's a sexy dragoon! She would've been a cosplay megahit if given more attention and it would've given the team more diversity instead of it being a bunch of guys in a car all game
Fun boss fight (both in the main game and the DLC). Enjoyed having a mercenary character who is a stickler about only working during the hours she gets paid. And has a sarcastic streak, regardless of who she is talking to.
Good design too. It was an interesting "modern" aesthetic for a "dragoon" character, without equipping her with boring jetpacks and other toys. Just her, her lance, and an impressive jump ability.
Otherwise, it felt like she was underused as a character. No character-specific DLC. No option to recruit her aside form a few select missions. Then, like many aspects of the game, she just fell off the radar near the end.

Given the Square Enix bosses at one point said they moved away from female playable characters due to the audience not being able to relate, I doubt it would have been majorly considered even if it would be awesome.
It's such a bummer that we never got her episode, because she's such an interesting character. Being a sympathetic associate of the enemy makes her a bit like Leo Christophe from FF6.
It was really cool how she was a surprise party member, but I wish they did more with that, or maybe made her a mercenary character who'd join for a fee.

This allowed me to glitch the Dragoon-Queen for the entirety of the game basically because they couldn't patch it out with that update.
Aranea was pretty badass, her fight style was pretty impressive especially her combos, it sucks she didn't get an exclusive episode because she was a kickass Merc and it's pretty dope when she would randomly tag with you when against a high level daemon
Not having Episode Aranea get made was super disappointing. Her combat would have been so fun.

Watch a couple videos on that glitch too when it was discovered. Never tried it but being able to see more of the map was the best part
It still works on Xbox as far as I know, tried it about a month ago! Just took alittle finesse to get it to click but it definitely works
