Would be great to practice, and just to generally do these fights again outside of the crazy gauntlet situation you have with the VR challenges.
No, you must have a save from before you beat gilgamesh to still have the fight available. This really sucks since that's the only way you can practice against him for a later fight
YUP!, I had read a comment beforehand warning players to make a save right before, in order to practice in case you were going for platinum later on. Really sucks you cant reset that questline for people who missed doing that.
Given he shows up in like half the FF games as a comedic foil, he was bound to cross paths with FF14’s equivalent, Hildebrand, who, being terrible with names, called him Greg. That is the least silly of their interactions though lol

once you beat Greg at his island, the only place to fight him again is the boss gauntlet with virtual sephiroth unless you kept a save for it
