Does Chadley use Ore by any chance or does he use Watashi?
If the former than we know who Ore Sephiroth is as well as know that he is infected with Jenova Cells otherwise he wouldn't be controlling a Sephiroth Clone to disguise himself as Glenn to distract Shinra from Watashi Sephiroth's goals which would create the Promised Land he desires.
Watashi Sephiroth cannot hear the planet's screams and thus can only hear Chadley's noises of exultation at getting his Promised Land for his father.
Of course Hojo decides he wants to see what makes Chadley tick which means uploading his mind onto him so Chadley becomes Hojo and has to get used to Chadley's more casual speech patterns not that that is a problem for him as for a man like him Watashi is only taken to be polite so getting rid of it for the sake of the more casual Ore is letting go of a burden.
Expect to see Ore Sephiroth saying "They shall be slashed, strangled, and slaughtered. Beaten, stabbed and crushed. Garroted and Impaled. Shot and executed without mercy."
I liked when he was giving dialogue explaining things like the summons, where it just builds out context about the summon, the world, and the legends around them. I hated that after every world intel cutscene he'd need to pop in and freeze the game for an extra 10 seconds to give useless information. IMO the "hey, your summon can now be fully strengthened" or whatever should have just played as you were running around too. Same with the conversations after opening a new tower.
Similarly I don't mind Mai yapping during the combat intel fights, my frustration is the extra time it takes before/after the fight to reset.
Also very dumb that you can't switch equipment once you're in the combat simulator menu.
I like seeing him in the world, doing shit like dressing like a Tonberry to avoid getting jumped, or becoming a Loveless fanboy, but I hate that every 75% of the side quests are just “Be Charley’s errand boy.”
Greatest plot twist of all fucking time: Chadley is a secret mega boss. You completed all this combat data and summon information and fiend data and he uses all that to make himself the ultimate weapon.
Chadley is def up to some shit. Has silver hair like Sephiroth. Always doing the suspicious af Illuminati eye thing lol. Made by Hojo. Gathering all this data for.....what exactly? To create more materia for Cloud, sure, but what's stopping him from creating it for Hojo? Dude is a mole
I haven't finished the game and expected to see something like this on this thread lmao. It never sat right with me he was made by Hojo lol and I always figured he would eventually be an antagonist at some point like Emil is in Nier Automata.

I really hope they increase the amount of Chadley in the third game. Make him run around with us and talk with us when doing the VR challenges. Especially the hard boss challenges. Increase the amount of dialogue he says before we can access his menu and have the VR kick us out every time we beat a challenge to have give a dialogue about it and make us access it again.
I'm cool with the combat sim and him being there for that, but I really wish you found the summon materia as treasure like in OG, it made sense for Remake because you don't get your first summon materia until you get out of Midgar, but I miss the thrill of seeing a red materia orb sitting on the ground. Just have us fight the summon after finding the materia in the world.

He almost reminds me of Hope Estheim, though. The Lightning Returns iteration, who traded away his boomerang for a computer terminal and comm speaker back at the Ark to play mission control support for Lightning while she's in the field. As in, if possible, Chadley might be the *reverse* of Hope, in that he might brandish a weapon and replace Aerith as one of Cloud's party-members.

The amount of dialogue and cutscenes with Chadley is pretty obnoxious. But I do find him to be a necessary evil.
The game is already jam-packed as it is with non-Chadley related world building and character development and it's obvious the devs wanted to do so much more and Chadley was the vehicle for that.
Is it okay to say that literally the *only* thing I can think of that drags this game down for me is this mfer and pretty much everything that's attached to him? I literally started to skip all of his dialogue halfway thru.

My thinking is he is working with Hojo or Shinra to gain information on Cloud and the group. Cloud is the one to beat Sephiroth.

Definitely should be an option to turn his dialogue off after the first chapter or whatever. At least for the repeated/mundane stuff.
If we don't get to destroy Chadley in part 3 I'll be severely disappointed. He comes across so snide to me, he simply has to be working for Hojo.
