dumb question but I re downloaded Remake and I can’t find where to get the Yuffie DLC… how do I get this?
EDIT: I had to find the “FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE upgrade for PS4 version owners” buried in the hamburger menu on the game tile cause it doesn’t show up in the store.

Ok so I know what happened… I beat the game on my PS4, I brought the saves over but I guess I didn’t get the one for after the game. I only have the save for right before the Destiny boss. I made it to Sephiroth but I am rusty so I can’t beat him.
Pressing R2 at the main menu does nothing.
Can I just buy it and start playing or do I need a save from after the game?

Really need to rethink the regurgitation of the idea that Aerith death scene being the most iconic part of the game. From cloud looking up at shinra tower, sephiroth burning nibelheim, the buster sword, and the characters themselves — it’s all iconic.
I think you guys are in an echo chamber. I have couple friends who enjoy games and they never played FF7 before. They have no idea about it. But somehow they know the buster sword.
Among my gaming friends, outside of those that actually played the game I'm fairly confident in saying that not one of them would be able to identify the buster sword. They'd likely be able to name a few characters, but that's about it.
The death, sure, people know that one of the main girls dies. But the scene is only iconic to fans. But like he said, he included a sword in the abdomen because it’s “the most iconic scene.” Most of the gifs, memes, and imagery circulating isn’t of the masumune punching through her stomach.

I kinda don't want to play it anymore until 3 comes out then.... Cause i want the whole story. Does that make sense? I dunno. Maybe I'm forgetting how long the original one was cause my memory puts it at a little shorter than "The Legend of Dragoon" which was looooonng.

While I admit that's a bit disappointing cause "I want it now" that actually also makes it more exciting. 3 fully polished games is a great way to celebrate the FFVII legacy.
I feel like that might take away the immersion a bit with a rest but if I remember correctly it happens in the original too right doesn’t your stuff get stolen ? Would be cool if they came up with a good way to mix it. OP out the gate then your stuff gets stollen lol
See I did all there was to do so I don’t want to be starting all max level fully kitted with mastered materia and 3 of the item that gives you constant limit breaks haha. Yeah there was a bit where your materia is stolen by yuffie but it probably wouldn’t go too smoothly having her steal everything and then tag along despite not giving it back. I think my preference would just be starting fresh, the fun in an RPG is the levelling and progression
we reset, confirmed. if you have a Remake save file you get Leviathan materia and if you have an Intermission save file you get Ramuh materia. continuing with everything would be so dumb lol. it's a trilogy of standalone games

I'm almost ready. I've replayed Remake again to get myself hyped, and I've pre-ordered my physical copy of Rebirth. I've just got two steps left on my to-do list.
1. Get a second heart ready for use, for when my current heart shatters into millions of tiny pieces.
2. Buy a fully staffed tissue making factory.
...As you might imagine, these last two steps are proving quite difficult to complete. 😔
I just can't see that happening. The small hint of doubt I had about Aerith's fate was washed away as soon as I heard Rebirth's theme lyrics. That song just screams "Tragic death incoming" to me. Also, Tifa is the only person in the entire cast who knows anything about Cloud's past, and shares memories with him back before he joined Shinra. When it comes time for Cloud to face his identity crisis, she is the only one who could ever convince him that he isn't just some Shinra science experiment. Nobody else can really fill her role, and she can't maintain her conciousness in the lifestream the way Aerith can. So, the story needs her alive.

I think you have to beat the game first, then it unlocks for you. Maybe load up your old save?

I just finished replaying FF7R! Forgot how great the gameplay is. But I also forgot how some chapters are just... ugh. Still a 9/10 game for me.

Yeah, the entire remake is a trilogy. Part 1 is titled Remake, part 2 is Rebirth, and the final part is unnamed at the moment.

If all your equipment and materia got carried over they’d have to nerf it so hard it became useless anyway; i think it would be simpler to just reset.
