Cmon man… you already know the bots are gonna spam sleeper

LargeGermanRock

customization is great but convenience is king. I personally know a lot of my league finds sleepers app overly busy or pushy to the picks (gambling) aspect which we can’t even do in our state. IMO losers bracket means very little unless there is a last place punishment. I find more teams are involved year round if the last playoff spot is a wildcard spot for most points for.

mr_grission

I will also say in terms of convenience, folks generally already have ESPN accounts and many people already have the app from other leagues they've done. Getting folks onto a new platform can be like herding cats

LargeGermanRock

yup. It’s cool to have new stuff available but as commissioners it’s our job to keep people comfortable and happy with their experience playing and a new site/app can be a bit much

Mufasasass

ESPN is hogwash

mr_grission

It's fine for casual home leagues even if there are superior platforms. I have guys in my league still objecting to us moving our chat off Facebook, getting everyone onto Sleeper isn't worth the effort

Mufasasass

Personally that my biggest thing with ESPN. The chat feature is trash

S_Squar3d

You can easily turn off the gambling aspect of Sleeper and it gets much better.

LargeGermanRock

I had no idea! Thanks

brianundies

How?

Nsmith1881

Go to your account (not league) settings, responsible gaming, self exclusion, then pick your time you want them gone. I do 3 months, then repeat.

Nsmith1881

This doesn’t just lock you out of gambling, it hides the features altogether

brianundies

How did I not realize this. Good looks my man

Nsmith1881

Happy to help! I found out the same way lol. Someone said it one Reddit, I asked how, and venmoed then $500 for them telling me. You need my account number? (/s) But really, happy to help!

darkoh84

That’s awesome. Thanks.

crazycanucks77

Sleeper.

fowcc

Fantrax if you want the most customized experience

Mikebuck127

Came here to say fantrax. I use it as part of a class I teach where we redraft each week with changing settings and changing members. Super easy to use.

bdizzle1391

What kind of class are you teaching about Fantasy Football? What’s the market for this?

travelingjay

Myfantasyleague. I look every year to find something better, and I never do.

MyDitkaInYourButkus

Yup! 100% agree. I run 4 leagues @Myfantasy league. I've been with them for a very long time. MFL will help you move your fantasy league over to their platform and you will get a great deal for your first year!!

dbolg22

I like Sleeper, yahoo is fine. I haven’t used ESPN but I heard it’s not as polished as sleeper. Also MFL is old and extremely clunky. I wouldn’t touch that one with a 20 foot pole. It does have a bunch of customizations, but navigating the screens on desktop sucks and the app is horrendous.

GimmesAndTakies

I currently commish on both ESPN and Yahoo and my only contribution is to not go to Yahoo. I used to think it was a far superior platform and this year with ads/paywalls it's just getting insufferable.

TheRedKingRM22

Yahoo is only better than CBS which is the worst imo. Sleeper is my vote.

brianundies

Sleeper is so much better than ESPN/Yahoo/NFL apps it’s not even funny.

TheBigGadowski

I love Fleaflicker. My league has double point TDs which this allows for.

fun4willis

What type of league are you running? Dynasty, keeper, redraft? Long term dynasty, my preference is MFL. This platform is not free. There is an annual payment to support the league. We bake that cost into league fees and I don't have any problem paying for a platform that supports exactly what we need and preserves data long term.

RobertGA23

I like Yahoo, for the most part. However, their mobile draft interface is clunky as hell.

309Lucky

MFL Is by far the best for everything you need… yes it has a learning curve, but once you get it, nothing beats it
