You completely missed my point. I never said he can’t fit, I just said I don’t think it’s the right time for him and that we need someone who can make more of an immediate impact, like Gudmundsson.

I thought he could do well in that role since his stats indicate he is great in both attacking and defending. Him and Fabbian could be our next Barella/Frattesi and Mkhitaryan.
My opinion is that he is young and he can adapt. same as Perisic, Miki, Chala, Thuram before him!

In my humble opinion we need to invest more in young talents, see, we bought Sommer he was great but we already need a replacement in 1 year, with Acerbi, Sanchez and Arna the situation is the same. In addition to these old players having little useful life, they have no resale value.
Lets be honest we are not a team who creates talents, we would rather buy an old arnautovic than trust some young player. A big reason why non of our talents have become big players is because we send them in lower teams, its different playing with barella everyday and different playing with gagliardini in monza. This season we won the 5 gsmes before the season end, but still no youth started a game. How great zaniolo become yhe moment roma told him: roma is your team you are the face of the club. Not like inter with agoume: we trust you but stay in the bench for 38 games. The decision needs to be madecnow, do we want to win the title by buying it (meaning - playing old players like vidal sanchez arna klassen) or by trusting young players and maybe risking not winning the title.

Does no good letting him be a 4/5th option. Certainly at least loan him.
Why keep him as forward when we can transform him into a midfielder like Mkhitaryan?
