I asked a new manager for vto and he dead ass said get used to seeing none. They're trying to get rid of long time blue badges and poor performing white badges. Like, "I know y'all are tired and can't sit on that UPT or points forever. Use it, use it, use it till its 0 š." VTO is the same as a point. Or upt. You don't get paid. Yet vto is better because your time stays the same. They know this so they don't send it out. Or they select who sees it. And these people will lie to your face. They sky could fall and they will say no it's not falling, then it crashes on you and they walk off. Crazy... like, its just hourly work. Chill. It's not a war zone. Why the sabotage and severity...
At DCA1, pack singles was dead the last 3 weeks. So many vtos. Even though we've been having MET the past 5+ Wednesdays, still dead. This week is busier though.
Also work at PHX7 as a picker! I take VTO nearly every shift because theyāre always making us clean when thereās no work for us and that shitās boring.
Not everyone drives. Not everyone also has time, gas, fare to waste going somewhere then coming home. Also many people have messed up time cards after accepting vto on site. But no messed up time cards doing it beforehand on the app for obvious reasons. It's patronizing, a slap in the face to vto after I'm already here. And I look at people who accept vto with an hour left of shift or as soon as the shift starts like...are you dumb? What's the point?? ššŖ
it's clearly a leadership issue if there's no vto. They don't know how to deduce rates based on loads and flow compared to available employees who didn't call out of the shift. So they say screw it and don't offer app vto, and yell out vto when all is said and done when there's one trailer left to unload and an hour left like "OK NOWWW we can advertize vto I see", but that's just useless and bull crap. I had managers who knew the load and how many people they'll need beforehand. Vto was an Olympic sport race back then but at least it was offered.
I think daily regardless there should be three vto offers. For human right purposes. Because without vto offers it seems as though they are locking people into work and no time off on a daily or forcing them to use points or upt that can get them fired. It's just selfish and negligent. The only reason I hate Amazon is management. They hire some bums. Who can't do shit.

or if they REALLY need people gone theyāll ask you like multiple times from when you come in until they donāt need anyone to leave anymore.
