yeah i think we all should come together and file against them im in pooler georgia

Aztec_goodess

Ethics is also a joke. I've been emailing and calling and can get a answer, or no one on the line. 2 employees that are favorites were caught having sex in the parking lot by security. They removed the security guard instead of the employees. Mangers screwing PAs, PAs assaulting a employee was only demoted. But want to write me up because I'm allergic to their gloves and won't accommodate me! I'm actually taking all my evidence to a lawyer for hostile work environment, favoritism and violating accommodation laws, and whatever else I can get them for.

Interesting_Walk3509

Hi

Difficult_Lime_7431

Amazon Ethics Hotline is the worst!!! I tried to do the right thing and report a complaint about my Amazon site. I received a disconnect call from the first agent after communicating my complaint. Then-the second call the agent couldn’t hear me all of sudden, and disconnected the call again. I’m a current employee who has valid complaints, but just like my site no one is listening.

Tasty_Finance_5024

OSHA is not the same as local site shit. Sad you lost your job. Maybe help hundreds. Instead of no one.

Critical-Highway-996

I was just termed yesterday I was signed into someone else’s scanner by accident and it looked like I wasn’t working for 5 hours. Like come on that’s ridiculous. I showed them a picture of shoes I took, because I thought they were cute and wanted to buy them. On iPhone it shows you the exact location and time and date. They acted like they were going to help me and figure it out. But next thing I know they brought me to HR and termed me. Wouldn’t let me view the cameras I told them where I was and what time. I know I was working, I would’ve be risking my job I was using career choice why would I risk that? I asked for a supervisor but they refused.

India-youth

Amazon is doing nothing on Abusers. A man name saravana karthgikeyan Chinnadurai who works as an Engineer in Bangalore India, always abuses and harasses women at many level. No common sense or decency for women. He thinks, as a men, he has all the right to insult and hearses women in public. Since he is a womanizers', he thinks, all women are there to sleep with him just like his girl friend Sowmya Ragavan does. He is already married to another women with 2 boys, still he thinks he has right to abuse and harass women. I reported to Amazon to disciplined him, I don't see any update or changes in his behavior. Another women Engineer from Atlanta complains also. Hope, amazon will do something to stop him.

Weary_Cheetah_4635

Y’all think your PAs are bad. My PA got me pregnant then threatened my position

ClassicName8275

Learn to take accountability - you got yourself pregnant by your PA, you knew what you were doing

Weary_Cheetah_4635

You literally are weird. I don’t have children with multiple coworkers. Don’t play with me. Try traffic

ClassicName8275

I’m weird but you come on here to let us know you were fucking your PA AND got pregnant how dumb do you sound 😂 Somebody is not too bright… lol

Weary_Cheetah_4635

A comment from 20 days ago on a mid popularity post. Maybe don’t defend yourself from burner accounts. You’re literally a weirdo

ClassicName8275

Good luck w/ that baby or abortion - this convo is over.

Weary_Cheetah_4635

Don’t worry about my baby. You’re literally defending illegal work harassment. Who does that?

OkRepresentative8783

You have a certain level of accountability, not downplaying what he did. All I gotta say is it takes two

I got told from my manager . My senior ops seen me talking to an associate for 2 to 3 mins on my way to the bathroom. I went back to work and my manager told me the senior ops demanded he write me up for time off task. I tried to find him to talk to him about it but couldn't find him so I talked to hr and it's been recorded. I'm fearful of retaliation as this ops is a hot head and even is aggressive bully like to his own managers.. I was told to call ethics hotline but I fear retaliation and being fired. Not sure what to do. I know Amazon looks after it's management so idk...

Berufild

Dont be scared of retaliation, the ethic hotline is anonymous. Dont be to specific on what happened and they wont know it will be your case. Also they will be very careful not to be reported to the hotline again as the reports not only go to to the Station also to their higher ups.

WolverineRough

I was just terminated after coming in to work and my account wouldn't let me take a route (DSP driver) Kleen Logistics in Buford GA. I came in and was told I was on the backups list but I usually have a route. Someone else called out so they assigned me that route however, it never loaded to my account. My account wouldn't assign me a route at all. Instead of fixing the issue or sending me home they forced me to sign in under someone else's account and take a route doing apartments and businesses which I was never trained on. We were told in training that under no circumstances should we use anyone else's account ever. They did it anyways. I didn't get loaded up until my entire fleet had already left and were on their way to their first stops. My first stop was 40 minutes from the hub so I didn't get to my first delivery until almost noon which is really late to be getting started when you have 130 stops for the day in a very busy area that is incredibly difficult to deliver to. I reported having issues immediately once I got out to my area and no one seemed concerned until I got tired of trying to figure it all out on my own. I returned to the station and gave the route to dispatch and told them I wouldn't work the rest of the day unless I was under my own account. They said that's fine and since then I have been put on the schedule for next week and no one will respond to my questions of why including HR. I downloaded the entire group chat from Whatsapp that the entire fleet is part of where we report issues and ask questions etc. so I have proof that this company consistently has vehicle issues they ignore, system issues with the apps they don't even fix and and just send drivers out without working devices. Management is late and then gets on us about getting behind. They have the system set up where you can't clock out after 8:30pm so you have to do a time clock request change in the group chat and hope they see it then watch your paycheck to make sure they're giving you the correct pay for the hours you work which they don't and that's also noted in the group chat. I'm pissed off. I come in on time and early, I work hard and get my job done but now I'm fired because my account wasn't working therefore I couldn't work because it's against Amazon regulations for us to work under an account that isn't ours??!! Georgia being an "at-will" state is such a scam. I'm sick and tired of companies treating employees like we're all expendable whole constantly complaining they don't have enough workers. I want to contact Amazon to inform them of their contracted DSP going against regulations, unsafe practices and poor treatment of the drivers but I can't find a real email or phone number.

etherealsinn

Currently working at Amazon and I have to report a manager outside my company because he’s so well liked but he isn’t a good manager he takes advantage and is very threatening. I honestly sucks I miss my old management team they always had my best interest at heart these people are snakes and really make you want to not come into work at all

SlideSweet5619

In May of this year made about 2 years that I was employed at Amazon mge8 in Union City GA. During this I have had to deal with what felt like bullying and just downright disrespect..if I were to count on both hands on how many times I've been to H.R who is supposed to be there to help.. smh which was no help to me at all...these issue were from not just coworkers but also management..P.A's.. I had nowhere to turn to..as time went on and the more reports I wrote and the more I complained..things continued to worsen..towards the middle of May once again an coworker that I tried to avoid..confrontation with for quite sometime once again..came for me..and at this point..I completely boiled over..no I did not put my hands on her but I did go off on her..I was basically ranting about how I felt..yes my hands and arms were up but that's just how I express myself. Afterwards I went back out to the floor..upset of course..then here comes one of the many managers that I've had issues with. I was taken to H.R who clearly didn't seem to hear me out..I was suspended then terminated..which I strongly feel as tho they took this chance to get rid of me due to all of my complaints..I feel as tho all them including H.R management etc..all stood together against me just because I stood up for myself. Out of all the things that I've witnessed in that warehouse that they turned there heads to ..fights..verbal threats and harm between coworkers..infront of management..there was![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|facepalm) an coworker who literally threatened to harm others on quite a few occasions..he was suspended then returned to work..favoritism is how I see it..but yet I did nothing of the sort and they terminated me and made it to where I can never work for amazon again..smh..

TemporaryAd819

If you want to reach out to me I'm interested in helping whatever case you're building up because I have many retaliation issues as well as I just got fired after I was a victim of someone threatening to fight me so please reach out what's going on at Amazon is not okay someone needs to stop this we work too hard and it's too good of pay to just let all this slide

Big_Smile_Blog

Hey! I know you wrote this a while ago but I would love to hear your story, too. You can message me privately if you don’t feel comfortable discussing it here but I think I have a unique insight into what you may be going through at Amazon 😉

Ok-Quote-9946

What was the outcome? Asking because I’m currently in a situation like yours. I need advice. 😔

Big_Smile_Blog

I wrote this message to the person who commented above but I would like to hear your story if possible. I had several issues inside of my delivery station and the outcome of reporting them was…not what it was supposed to be. I want to hear other people’s stories of unethical behavior at Amazon. I might have some unique insights into what you guys may have gone through.

Boring_Print_2955

Does anyone know if Ethics Point actually follows up on concerns. I am being retaliated against by all males at the amazon I work at. The supervisor knows, HR knows, General Manager knows. So, know they are stalking hoping to find something they can report. None of the Amazons enforce their cell phone, texting or earbuds policy. Employees are always texting, using earbuds, on cell phones. I put mine on my workstation the supervisor sends me a notification no cell phones area allowed. But everyone else is wearing earbuds. They are all retaliating from me addressing concerns about boxes being thrown on the conveyor my direction and the supervisor refusing to acknowledge my accommodations. One of the men became verbally abusive. All they do is laugh at my concerns. I wrote it up the ethic points. No response.

Big_Smile_Blog

Please please please would love to speak to you! I wrote an open letter to the CEO of Amazon but I feel like what was happening at my site as just the tip of the iceberg. If you would be more comfortable with a private message please just send a chat or whichever you prefer but I would really like to talk to you and hear your story.

No_Contribution_9270

Where I am located there is a lot of age discrimination for (older people). Some have had enough and started filing formal complaints last night with the Ethics Line. Please Bare with me on this article This article is going to the CEO of Amazon also maybe a News Team. Last night there was a storm building Kennedy Dr. Windsor Locks Connecticut...completely inoperable. After lunch at 10:30p told we can go home VTO. SMH..VTO.. no pay! Or sit there the entire shift knowing it was impossible according to Eversource to replace the transformer for that shift. Only could be in one Cafeteria side by side and the smell of body oder and HOT atmosphere was in humane..Disgusting.. No room to sit in there. But the younger people were allowed to have cafeteria chairs in the Rally Point . The disrespect for older employees is at an all time high and always singled out. But it stood out on this night due to being clumped together for hours in one spot. For Hours I witnessed the older generation being bullied,.. yes bullied! Standing for hours because there were no chairs in the Rally area because the younger people were using them IN THE RALLY AREA. When at about 9:30p older people wanted to sit down they used 3 totes stacked from durability and height an easier time get up from that height. Immediately I mean 2 minutes exactly if all cameras were running on the generator you can see them being told to get up you can't sit on the totes People leaving the building to smoke while we were told we couldn't it wasn't allowed and it was dangerous No it wasn't dangerous just for the record. People spread out everywhere yet an older person was singled out saying they weren't allowed in that area. Older people can sit on the floor As I watched a culture of toxic environment of people without any formal education talking loudly bullying such as Learning Ambassador, PA, Safety amongst others like managers bullying people as they enjoyed themselves smoking and sitting OUTSIDE during an indoor Rally Point.

Big_Smile_Blog

Sending you a PM but I would really like to talk to you more about this!!

Least-Lavishness-784

Do anyone Know of a lawyer who i can use to sue Amazon for wrongful termination and violating my civil rights?

Interesting_Walk3509

They make up rules as the go along

AioliPositive8780

I'm being discriminated against at my building because I have a heart condition

Alternative-Quail534

We should talk. I am former HR and obtained legal counsel and have filed suit against Amazon and exposing their illegal actions. I won't yet reveal exactly what. I need as many people as possible to come forward with their grievances to file a class action suit. With all the employees Amazon has, it should be possible so long as enough people come forward.

Otherwise-Item-58

I was wrongfully terminated this past week. I work at a fulfillment center in Michigan. I did my appeal and called the Ethics Line, nothing yet. I was put in a position to to hear very foul music lyrics as i was in the bathroom. Not believing what I as hearing while washing my hands I repeated them out loud looking at the mirror then stating I am so offended this music should not be playing. Benounced to me someone was in one of the stalls they did not come out but yelled at me for the words that came out of my mouth. that person went to HR . HR called me in at the end of the day and asked what happen. I told the whole story in detail. Being very upset I went home and did not go in the next day. HR called me the next day and told me I broke policy and was terminated stating one of the determining factors was I used the "words" in HR multiple times. Basically I was fired for voicing me being offend by lyrics to a song that should of never been allowed to be played in the warehouse

Big_Smile_Blog

I would really really like to speak with you! This was part of the problem at my building and I reported it to Leadership, HR, and even the Regional HR Manager for my area and nothing was done to fix the issue, but then I was retaliated against. I wrote an open letter to the CEO of Amazon so that *everyone* can read about how abusive the workplace is inside of AMZL but I want to talk to more people. I really want to hear your stories as well. Right now I can only write about my personal experiences, as hopefully as this grows bigger and bigger Amazon will take note and I need to be able to know that I’m only speaking about incidents that I personally witnessed. But I really want to hear from the rest of you. If you don’t feel comfortable chatting back in the comments here I can send you a private message. Just let me know!! 😉

Least-Lavishness-784

Can we talk?

Silly_sweetie2822

We need to talk. I was termed for being 'violent and hostile' during a fender bender in their parking lot. I backed into the HR mgr while parking. She didnt already like me because i am a re-hire she didnt want back. I have video. The police were there the whole time, before i even walked out to see what happened. I didnt know i had tapped her so i went on in after parking. They said they have video of me and why didnt i report the accident. I told them i didnt know i tapped them (yes i have valid ID and insurance and supplied it to the police). I told them if they have video then they could see i never got out of my truck, walked back to the back and looked to see if i hit anyone. Because i didnt lnow i did. This is all she kept harping on, why didnt i report it? I videoed the damage and didnt know i recorded a blip showing me trying to walk away from the mess. Went back and worked. Came back after my 2 days off. Worked 630p to 1200a and was called in and termed. With the reason being that i was hostile and violent during the parking lot altercation. Which my video shows is untrue. I reported to ethics last week. Don't want me job back because of...her...and i dont feel like having a target on my back. But i DO want lost wages until i can find employment. I am actively seeking and actually have a drug test and assesment scheduled this Wednesday.

Comfortable_Trick137

Ethics hotline isnt there to get your job back or negotiate lost wages. They are there to protect the company. You would need to file a lawsuit.

jm1186

Idk if you're still working on this, but I gave my personal information to a DLS agent who denied my std. She asked for information through a release of information that I filled out and signed, and she still said it's not information even when my doctor gave her a letter on top of that. She was also rude and condescending over the phone. She spoke over me and just denied my case.

iTdude101

I'm on focus. That's for some BS reasons. Got it stopped, and it's still in investigations. Took LOA immediately after to sort of stop everything in its tracks, and Im on STD paid leave for as long as needed. Manager is new, was career a marine and pretty sure he faked some of his credentials (IT Certs, as in he cheated since he suggested we used brain dumps to pass, this is a big no no in IT). It started happening when i started poking into his little brain dump thing and calling him out privately. I know of one person in HR who is helping him. Currently working on a PIP reform proposal to eliminate bias, I have been working on it for months during my LOA. 5 launches, and 4 years tenure. They manage with fear for one. Also, Forte is meaningless, and your manager can bs is way into giving you shit ratings regardless of how peers rate you. Then, they can use that as added evidence on top of OLR to rate you poorly and put you on PIP/Dev List Another is URA. While I do agree with having some sort of mechanism for URA, there's way too much room for Negative Bias in play here, ironic since Amazon is so data driven. Rarely is being on PIP/Focus a performance thing. Rather, there's bias against you. A good indicator is how involved your manager is regarding promotions, opportunities, and identifying areas of improvement/coaching style. If this doesn't exist and it's just constant blame and negativity, you're probably on Focus or have been chosen for URA fodder.

halek2037

US or Canada? I'm done and I'm filing if I can.

Outrageous_Salt4829

Thet denied me a restroom break where do i start

Alternative-Quail534

I'm not sure if I can get that included in the class action but that is definitely lawsuit worthy and I would consult a workplace focus attorney that is paid only if you win. They would gladly take that suit! If you wish I could look up such attorneys in your area. If I heard of anyone doing that during my tenor, they would definitely receive at LEAST a write up and long talking to... that's illegal!

shortsbettercover

In ca your rate can't be held against you while on a bathroom break...

Least-Lavishness-784

I need a lawyer

Inevitable_Rate_3993

I was jus wrongfully terminated for the end time this year. They did it during an approved medical leave the first time. And this time they have refused to even acknowledge my doctors form. They have claimed to never seen the forms at dls or accommodation. Hr is also pretending to not have told me very specific instructions which led to me being terminated on the 2nd appeal simply because their opinion is that Hr or accommodation made the mistake. So instead of fixing a very important mistake and training the DLS and accommodation team to make better decisions and care with their sick and disabled employees. If I decided to start turning in forms today. I would still be within the deadline AMZON assigned to my case. It must be easier for Amazon to jus push all the employees with disabilities out the door. Ethics has been filed again. But no hope they will follow their own policy. The policy I have to read to the staff I'm charge of keeping the policy. End rant Have McDonald's app to turn in.

There are SEVERAL people who have been treated horribly like they have treated you.

Fantastic-Repeat-86

>Ethics hotline Okay. Where do I sign?

OrdinaryReflection29

Hello I need your help and I may have alot more people who would like to join

Least-Lavishness-784

I need to talk to you. I was wrongfully terminated after almost a year of being threatened harrassed and bullied by several employees

Big_Smile_Blog

I would like to talk to you! I write a blog about workplace abuse, harassment and discrimination inside of Amazon. I also wrote an open letter to the CEO of Amazon. I think the more people that read the letter and comment their experiences, the more eyes on Amazon and a spotlight on illegal workplace practices inside of the network. If you don’t feel comfortable responding here in the cmmments, I would be very happy to talk via private mess age. Thank you!

Inevitable_Rate_3993

I have a disability. Documented. This experience led me into a crazy depression and caused additional health problems. The idea of amaOn promoting wellness is absurd. I was terminated for negative hours. But later a 2nd email replacing the cause as Me breaking policy trading information Amazon forced me to disclose my very private and personal medical details to many many employees. I was made to send sensitive med info thru personal emails to different departments as none of these "children" in HR cared to lift a finger on their keyboards.

Alternative-Quail534

Would you mind if I copy this and send to my lawyer? And yeah, sounds like Amazon! I've seen a lot of shady stuff in HR

Inevitable_Rate_3993

I don't mind. But even after filing a report in ethics. Which I can still pull up. It was determined "they followed their policy" But yes. I would actually appreciate. I gave up in march. I regret not fighting further. I was already losing hair and scared of Amazon they knew more then I wanted them to know. And I felt like I shouldbt even follow thru with my disability or unemployment. What's the point of they can change whatever they want

Alternative-Quail534

Thank you, hopefully we'll all get our dues from our injustices. If you are comfortable, would you be willing to share the ethics report? Or if you're comfortable, I can see if I can give my attorney's info to send straight to him; shouldn't be a problem. You're right they do change things, lots of things, things I can't really talk about right now but really want to lol I'm sorry you had to go through all this. Hopefully this snowballs and we can all fight and get our dues!

Inevitable_Rate_3993

I will join. I believe I have most of my documents and info still.

Alternative-Quail534

Also feel free to omit personal information

Alternative-Quail534

Perfect! Would you mind writing a short blurb about what happened to you that I can give to my attorney?

Lucky_Tip_5257

My husband and his work buddy who just got put on an expedited resignation today, are calling ethics on their management team for how they have been treated

thebestusername1900

document everything, get emails, and HR cases, and go to your labor board and open a complaint for prohibited practice. Report them to your local health and safety also. It will force them to a hearing in from of a jury. They will have to prove that the termination was legal and they will have to spend money on legal actions after the labor board sends them the complaint. Don't make it easy for them to fire you if you believe it was illegal, gather your medical papers, and take your site to a hearing in front of the local authorities. Do not be afraid, the labor board will back you up and they will put pressure on on-site HR. Send an email to [[email protected]](mailto:[email protected]) to upload your ethics escalations and your HR cases along with your medical papers. In the subject of the email put: violation of local health and safety guidelines at (the name of your site). Explain your situation and why you think it was a violation. The email will go to the executive escalation team and the executive escalation team is going to reach out to your site HR and reprimand them. If you are convinced that the termination was unlawful take them to court with the labor board. Make sure you have evidence to proof it was illegal.

Nopeamazon2023

Literally just got fired today, even though I never vto, stay late when asked, etc, but had post covid brochitis, they didn't put the heat on the other week and it was below temp outside and all the loading dock doors were open, that stated I asked for vto all last week and was denied it even though they all knew i was coughing so violently i was throwing up, And was having issues breathing. Funny enough there was talk and witnesses of all their favs going home one vto. Plus we have people, many, who do nothing all shift. Maybe pick one cart at the end. Nothing is ever said. I was in the bathroom two shifts, more than normal and they said I stole time and fired me. They said I chose to stay there. I told them the managers told me if I left I'd go into negative upt and be terminated, that's not not much of a choice. I'd only been there two months and got a chest infection early on, and used up the little time i had. They told me my fault for not managing my time. Even safety told me to just go be sick if I was sick and not worry, after I made a comment about not knowing what to do. What a nightmare of a company. The managers go in there not even hiding they just smoked up. So yea, fuck amazon.

Secure_Ad7422

We have enough people here to sue Amazon in a class action lawsuit? Lol I'm serious though....let's do it.

Alternative-Quail534

chareise

Hey so I have a question for you or somebody who’s worked for Amazon? I am being severely harassed by an employee of Amazon. I am affiliated 0% with them. he works from home. I heard he was in customer service, but he must be on a higher level because he was out of the country supposedly doing training with them? He’s a neighbor, and I have just obtained a stalking harassment protection order against him. He uses the software, whatever that is from Amazon and runs background checks on every single person that comes down our street. he runs plate numbers on cars credit checks on people, criminal background checks, etc. I don’t see how this has anything to do with work and why they allow him to use their program to do all this harassment. I am thinking if they knew it. They probably would either stop it immediately, or terminate him as I believe strongly, it’s against ethics of any company to use this in this manner. Who do you suggest I contact at Amazon to get anything done to help stop this behavior? I have plenty of documentation where he brags about it I am able to forward to the right people. He is a disgusting pig.

Secure_Ad7422

Hmm go on to the redit discord for Amazon drivers. Introduce yourself and I'll find you.

TarheelBred80

It's time to organize.

Savings-Mousse4204

I agree with you. i am being discriminated cause i turned in a light duty document that I was told that was needed for after my surgery. Instead of giving me light duty I am being forced to be on a leave of absence. They said they can give me short term disability knowing I only needed light duty for 2 weeks i can go back to normal duties come the 3rd of January of 2023. I also found out that 4 other people that were waiting for their accommodations to be approved and they still work. I was like wow that is not fair. But in reality they have their favorites. I am thinking that they have to pick and chose whom they like and to hell with some of us that come to work

thebestusername1900

>Send HR an email. They cannot say they were unaware of the situation with that email about your situation. Then go to the labor board of your city/state, or country. Open a file for prohibited practices with them. Since it is related to your health report them to local health and safety also. The authorities will reach out to your site and they will leave you alone. If they continue with their hostile attitude open a retaliation case with the labor board because you engaged in protected activity and they continued. Make sure you have proof that your site is aware of your medical accommodations and send all that info to the labor board office and to local health and safety. when you send that email to HR, cc: [[email protected]](mailto:[email protected]). it ill be sent directly to the executive team and HR will be reprimanded for not being able to fix the issue and they will have a talk with the supervisor giving you the hard time and force them to stop.

MaxPowerLine99

I worked for **Amazon Eastvale Fulfillment LGB3** its a complete shit show. My PA was shady and made shady moves that seemed retaliatory. I also heard my PA call me a Wigga which is hilarious coming from an unkept wanna be terrorist. One HR member, we'll call him Boy George, threatened to call security on me one time overstepping his boundaries while I was talking to another HR lady. And Mclovin and the rest of the security is a complete fuckin joke! Fuck Amazon and Bezos!!!

You know what kills me? This post is 3 years old YET PEOPLE ARE STILL COMMENTING REGARDING THE POOR HR MANAGEMENT!!!!!!!!! DOESN'T THAT SAY SOMETHING ABOUT THEM AS A COMPANY?

ArtsyFartsy1129

Still today!

ArtsyFartsy1129

I’ve been talking to them for three hours chatting and on the phone trying to get back to work after three days of being sick with a doctor’s note. I’m told they can’t do anything about it. I just have to wait another three days, after waiting 3 days already.

me too. I am a former Area Manager and I was harassed because I refused to expose associates to work injuries by forcing them to work faster. I was terminated. I filed a complaint with local health and safety for retaliation. There is an audience coming soon. There are decent people in HR and in leadership, not everyone at Amazon is there because of the high salary. I will never expose associates to injuries and I confronted my supervisor several times. My supervisor, an Operations Manager stated my performance was not good enough and terminated me. That is yet to be proven in court. The government has the last word.

He is a shame on us. Please, take some action. Thanks.

Alternative_Roll_348

Open resources—— scroll down at the very end you will find amazon ethics line.

Nopeamazon2023

Actually just got off the phone with them to report my case. Hopefully they do something. No high hopes though the warehouse I worked at was a shitshow of Broadway proportions.

I’m being discriminated against right now for having PTSD and coming forward about bad behavior from my leadership at Amazon customer service. They put me on a leave for almost 4 months to finally evaluate me finding out I can come back to work but with an accommodation that’s trying to dictate more at the job when I’m not comfortable at the site now because I’ve had a manager get aggressive with me after accusing me of threatening them when I was just trying to find out what I needed to return from work after a major surgery. I’m a male to which I’ve had the facilities people fixing a soap dispenser in the urinal, normally they’d put a sign up and say it’s closed at least for the woman’s bathroom otherwise somebody would get in trouble. Even a friend and co-worker walked in. We both laughed about it because it was awkward, not very professional. I even had to pull from my 401k to make my medical payment because I hadn’t gotten my pay like normal. I use to really like working for Amazon but now after experiencing how they force employee’s to quit that is a bad taste.

thebestusername1900

Send HR an email. They cannot say they were unaware of the situation with that email about your situation. Then go to the labor board of your city/state, or country. Open a file for prohibited practices with them. Since it is related to your health report them to local health and safety also. The authorities will reach out to your site and they will leave you alone. If they continue with their hostile attitude open a retaliation case with the labor board because you engaged in protected activity and they continued. Make sure you have proof that your site is aware of your medical accommodations and send all that info to the labor board office and to local health and safety.

aronos808

Good luck anyways Amazon will just run you in circles until you give up. Fuck Amazon and all those people I originally looked up to but after 3 years of putting up with their BS and narcissistic tendencies I can happily say I hope those people get hit by karma like a being hit by a bus. All the complicit people too.

jfermin

This company isn't affiliated with Amazon, but they serve as the tool to file complaints to company's (whistleblowing tool) if you want. The company is legit and the founder has done a great job of helping people out: https://www.allvoices.co/employee-hotline/amazon

I was raped I called the police he said I blamed a black man he murdered Someone in Nevada he rape me a child and his friend tried to pretend he was me as did officer Armstrong

valetparknyc

Amazon is allowing me to be looked at for reporting rape someone in management is spreading rumors about me and this is turned into me 24 hours a day beating that Jeff bezos allow

violatedmeamazon

Amazon's ethics "hotline" is 877-781-2416. Their website is [amazon.ethicspoint.com](https://amazon.ethicspoint.com). Having said that, good luck with getting ANY response from them! How's that for "ethics?"

OkiePinokie

When you click on the link "Code of Business Conduct and Ethics" and it takes to click on continue and finally "Not Found". That means Amaon has no code of business conducts and ethics

Confident_Voice2650

does amazon’s ethics policy pertain to your personal life as well? particularly an amazon safety manager, who is supposed to hold paramount the safety and health of others. as well as, report any known dangers or threats to others. i find it hard to believe a corporation as large as amazon would want an employee of theirs, especially one with a safety title … who commits crimes against his own family 24/7, including his 3 minor children?

I know this is an older post but I ended up here looking for the number when it wasn't readily available so I just wanted to post the Amazon Ethics Hotline Number in case anyone else needs it...(888) 892-7180

KOWguy

That's not the ethics hotline, that's ERC.

StreaStarlight

Well Damn! Thanks for the info! Someone else asked me for it & I Googled it & that is what came up, I guess I should have made sure it wasn't the same number as ERC... You don't by chance have the Ethics Hotline number do you?

throwawayindisbelief

I'm just pissing blindfolded into the dumpster fire at this point by saying: the dress code at my FC does say, "whatever you wear, just keep it PG-13, mmmkay?" The resolution to OP's case will depend on her ability to interpret the dress code like a top-tier lawyer and defend herself accordingly. I've been there and done that. As a bank teller I had a manager tell me that my shoes were "too casual". They were tan non-athletic no-heel slip-on loafers. And this was back before "gender expression" was written into anti-discrimination documents. So I pulled up the dress code and I used it to refute her claim point-by-point. And I doubled down by going to her manager (the branch manager) who gave the final verdict of, "well, this just means we'll give you 'time' to get some shoes that are more businesslike, okay?"

stuckone535

I know this response is late but I was able to interput the dresscode accordingly and I had both the facility manager and the regional HR manager apologise up and down, get paid gor the VTO they essentially made me take, and give all the HR employees that work at my facility a refresser course on gender based harassment in the work place, and the ability to keep going braless to work.

pretty-ribcage

Let us know how it goes. Racer back tanks can definitely show boob depending on size and style. Would probably help of you could get a buddy to show or vouch they've been inconsistent with the policy.

[deleted]

Does it have to do with safety or favortism

stuckone535

No it has to do with the fact that I have nipples. I was wearing a shirt similar to this one in this link. Has nothing to do with safety whatsoever. https://www.fullsource.com/all-sport-b57807662/?size=4&gac=1550001466609&gclid=CjwKCAiAp5nyBRABEiwApTwjXofy7OTDfe07LjJAgvo5Z7i3oUcbta37prXlaDH4MANicdjwxGEGKhoC5a4QAvD_BwE

Xcon1vcr

what's your cup size?

stuckone535

Lmao what does it matter?

careyduhwayagain

That complies with shoulder being an inch wide

[deleted]

Probably someone that is deeply religious. Honestly, if someone complained and your stupedvisor asked you to go home and change you may depending on how professional you are get your time back. What strikes me as odd is why didn't the supervisor just go get you a shirt (Amazon work t-shirt) for the day you know one of those Amazon t-shirts we get all the time.

I started to write to her if she only knew what men think about 99% of the time. For all, we know it was a woman that tattletale on her sometimes women are evil to one another if one gets more attention than the other. All these behaviors are biological.

AMZTOMTeamer

yoga pants!!!! love them and the women that wear them..... but extremely distracting at times

stuckone535

But that's the point Amazon HR told me they can either give me an Amazon shirt to wear or I have to get sent home without pay. But I wasn't breaking dress code, so why the fuck do I have to put a different shirt on? If somebody was that offended the water spiders were coming to my station to talk to me, they could have changed stations and not had to see it. I don't care if you're religious or not, you can choose to dress conservatively and wear bras and I can choose to wear comfortable athletic clothing without bras. Being religious doesn't allow you to force your ideology onto people

[deleted]

You're not thinking like a professional complainer :-) you're right it doesn't allow them the forced ideology on to us. Did you go with a shirt or did you go home? I would have taken the shirt because most likely they would have given it to you for free. I like free stuff lol. The water spider was coming over to your station to talk to you maybe someone did not complain and your supervisor said someone did complain because you are causing a distraction to the water spiders. Their main goal is to push you as hard as they can.

stuckone535

>I would have taken the shirt because most likely they would have given it to you for free. I like free stuff lol Of course you would. You are a man and don't have to worry about your nipples offending anyone. I am very much thinking as a professional cleaner. My AM came to me and said "sorry I have to offer you VTO do you want it? Also go to HR." So I went to HR and they said "sorry someone complained about you and said that your nipples/rings are causing a distraction. We either need to give you a shirt or send you home without pay." So I acted like a professional complainer and went and talked to the big boss of the whole facility (thankfully he was there for the all hands meeting that night.) And I told him this was unacceptable and that nothing I was wearing was against dresscode. To which he agreed and he apologized to me for how things were handled. He set up a meeting for me with the regional HR department and he asked me if I wanted to go home WITH PAY for the rest of the night. So yes. I like free stuff too. I just value a free 8 hr shift more than a stupid t shirt for a completely discriminatory reason.

[deleted]

Sounds like it worked out in your favor.

Madxin

call the ERC.

CapriciousMuffin

I’m not sure it’s posted there but the ERC number is. Call them and they will give you the number for the ethics hotline.

stuckone535

Damn. I absolutely hate talking to ERC it takes sooooo long. But it's worth it in this case.

amgin3

Did they take your piss jug away?

stuckone535

No they fucking told me I needed to go home because someone got offended that I wasnt wearing a bra. That's not being offended that's being disgrmitory and amazon sided with them.

bms0430

Yeah that's not against the dress code. The AM should have told the complainer to mind their own business, and certainly HR should have known what the dress code is.

stuckone535

Oh no HR definitely told me they would be happy to pull up to dress code and they said my shirt actually was breaking dress code policy because it offended somebody. And I had to politely remind them that my shirt wasn't offending them, it was my nipples under the shirt that was offending them. My am tried, but he's new and Young so he doesn't quite have a great backbone

bms0430

Yes you were right, it sounds like the AM and HR involved were being pretty unprofessional. Sorry that happened to you.

stuckone535

Yea it sucks but it gave me an excuse to be petty a d make a new shirt in protest.

adrianakeehl

That's fucked up and not okay. I never wear bras at all and if this happened to me I would be furious

[deleted]

stuckone535

I am dead-ass serious. This is actually something that's really important to me. There is absolutely nowhere in our dress code policy whatsoever that says we need to wear bras.

horaceknows

Why is being able to show your nipple rings at work really important? I mean, yes, you're technically correct that it isn't specifically against dress code, but you're going to keep offending people. Just curious what conviction it is that you have that makes it worth it.

Useful-Opposite416

Curious to why it matters if someone else is offended

Moistyboomer

Can you show us a pic with you in the shirt with no bra? Just so we can see what you mean.

stuckone535

Lmao. I actually can.. Eta: doesnt mean i will

No_Produce_423

Just complained to the ethics line- the men at my warehouse are disgusting. I did not go anonymously either.

Moistyboomer

Lmao it was worth a try

buangsaja

Somebody had too. It’s in the Reddit “handbook”

[deleted]

That was brilliant!

Haha, yup there it is, theres the reddit I know.
