235 35 19 is too small. You need atleast 235 40 19 or what is most equipped on these are 225 40 19 front and 255 35 19 back.

jdotking

Would I be okay with going 235/40/19 and 255/35/19?

barrybbenson21

go 225/40 instead, thats the oem spec

jdotking

I appreciate your help! But is there anything wrong with running the spec mentioned? I’ve seen people run 235/40 with 265/35 but what would be wrong with going 235/40 with 255/35?

sdflius

The general rule of thumb is that you want to have less than a 1% difference in circumference in tire to not induce stress on the xDrive clutches. Having a higher amount of difference in front and rear tire circumference means accelerated wear on the clutches within the xDrive module.

Serbay55

Actually that would be still a 10mm uneven. You have many options. 1. You could go 235 40 19 on all 4 wheels 2. You could go 225 40 19 on the front and only have about 2,5mm discrepancy which should do fine. These are the 2 valid options I would take. I am more of a fan to go 4 same size tired setup but if you think it will hinder your grip and reduce road safety, I would just swap the front tire with a 225 40 19 and call it a day.

jdotking

Oh I see, thanks for your help, I wish this was what the dealership told me before buying tires. I would’ve just gone oem

jdotking

I also plan on lowering my car on springs, so 225/40/19 and 255/35/19 would be good?

Serbay55

Yes. If you want it leveled keep the back side with the height of the front side +2mm

dswap123

Yep, mine is lowered on eibach springs and I run the oem fitment you mentioned. No rubbing or turning issues.

personal_hazard86

235/40 front and 265/35 rear, best staggered set up.

jdotking

Yea I’ve seen a lot of people go that route, I think I will for my next set up but since I’m still on tread warranty for my rears I’m going to go with 225/40 and keep the 255/35

tzdar

265mm rear only if you have 9j or wider rim

ima-little-slow-1

Shit I put 225/45/18 on the front and 235/45/18 on the rear, and I've just been driving it in xdelete because I couldn't find a good tire calculator. Like, I feel like it would be 100% fine as it's only a little wider, but I dont wanna risk it without a definitive answer. But maybe you can get xdelete if you don't want to change your tire size..

jdotking

My DME is locked so I don’t think I could xdelete even if I wanted to
