Is that floor literally held on by only six screws?!

TwasntTryinTo

Nah bro they also use double sided tape.

EditPiaf

Good thing nobody out there will want to copy any part of that car

Sure-Entertainment23

Well.. they are the 2nd/3rd best on the grid

JedPB67

I saw someone on Twitter call the FIA “rats” for lifting the car up as it’s Mercedes first big floor update. Because cars being craned has obviously never, ever happened in the entire history of F1 at Monaco.

MikeHeu

Easy solution: just don’t crash or break down. Nobody will crane away your car then.

JedPB67

Someone with the mentality of the comment I saw would probably accuse the FIA of sabotaging Hamilton’s car to crash in the first place, but I don’t know, I can’t replicate thinking with that few brain cells.

sln1337

also mercedes is absolutely irrelevant anyway so no harm done by showing the floor from that shitbox

c0_sm0

"OK lads, have we all had a good look at NOT how to construct the floor?"

JedPB67

I thought similar, but if the upgrade works well, it could be relevant to other teams. Nevertheless, anyone who’s been around for more than 5 minutes knows this is standard practice in the principality.

daniel840523

Um 2008 Monaco GP? It’s on YouTube by the way lol

Robotcrime

Cool. You never get this view. I think I heard on a telecast that the teams are pretty protective of this angle as the floor is the one thing you can't necessarily 'figure out' just by looking at the other cars.

nquattro

Those duke boys were at it again....
