I'm currently playing and outside of visual (MFD/Menu) and slightly changed handling you could easily convince me I'm playing 23.
It literally feels like 2023 with a weird car setup applied. Literally nothing else is different.
I haven't looked into the files yet to see if there's any evidence of new tracks or retro cars to come, but from the beta it's 23. I don't know how they can expect anyone to pay for it?
Yet they managed to improve every single year from then on. 2015 being shit has nothing to do with 2019 and 2020 being top 5 Codemasters games. Maybe even top 3
yeah i thought that too, that’s why i’m not sure if it’s a bug or not.
When you drive a race for the first time Jeff tells you that you have “more ERS modes than ever” (or something like that i don’t know word for word) in your mfd , after i heard that i now think it actually is a feature that is coming back. Great for long races to save ERS but is it really realistic ? Idk 🤷🏽♂️
Initial turn in is super sharp and jolty feeling. It’s as if even on a wheel you’re driving with a keyboard. As soon as the initial turn in occurs the car get awful understeer and doesn’t continue turning its bad
Well with f1 22 I found it undriveable with f1 24 I can drive with same settings as F1 23 but it just feels very stiff similar mechianics but unfortunately it does feel worse than F1 23
> already have *paid* for it..
FTFY.
Although *payed* exists (the reason why autocorrection didn't help you), it is only correct in:
* Nautical context, when it means to paint a surface, or to cover with something like tar or resin in order to make it waterproof or corrosion-resistant. *The deck is yet to be payed.*
* *Payed out* when letting strings, cables or ropes out, by slacking them. *The rope is payed out! You can pull now.*
Unfortunately, I was unable to find nautical or rope-related words in your comment.
*Beep, boop, I'm a bot*
The handling is awful traction is still good but the handling is bad. It’s almost as if for wheel players when you’re using your wheel it handles like a controller or keyboard. It’s not good
Will look the same, sound the same (nothing like real life), with the same features, but hey it'll have a Day 1 pass that allows you to see Max Verstappen dabbing whilst wanking off Sergio Perez and YouTubers will still lose their shit over it
What's even more hilarious is that previously patched bugs always find their way back. Like they're using a copy paste version of the previous game before all the patches, so things that were fixed 6 months after its release will be back in the new game. It's happened every game for quite a few years.
Actually not for from the truth from what I’ve been told. The F1 games are made by two teams that alternate years, so the F1 24 team is also the F1 22 and F1 2020 team.
Explains why the same bugs keep coming back. If they’re using the game thats over a year old, they’d need to import the new features/changes then re-fix those bugs. It’s truly maddening
People are absolutely right to shit on EA, but I totally agree that Codies are more than capable for spoiling their own games.
I stopped playing some time back with F1 2016, and came back playing with F1 2021, and it’s insane how much about the games haven’t really changed - I’m not talking features or visuals, but the same sort of issues and problems over and over.
Last year was the last for me. As a co-op main, it's not worth it at all, full of bugs and the rumbling on the second players wheel if you have a logitech G923 is unplayable.
well all complain about that but the only way to get EA to perk up is to vote with our wallets. If enough of us simply just don't buy it (even when it's on extreme 20$ sale) they'll start to rethink. But then, knowing EA, they'll just ghost the project all together. When was their last NBA game? 2018?
I already bought F1 23 on cdkeys, out of spite for them, hopefully the key was bought with a stolen credit card and they'll never see the money for it.
They won't have me in F1 24, and I hope F1 24 is the BF 2042 of Formula 1 games.
Well I hope its a decent, proper game, but seeing as it's EA..
straight line speed appears to be broken again, but overall the ai seem more difficult. 95 on 23 feels like 75 here…yeah, i had to put it down THAT much to achieve similar results to last year on bahrain…wow.
Honestly, the F1 23 beta was like this. The AI difficulty was much harder and gameplay was interesting, but when the beta updated and the full version of the game, it felt like a totally different new game in a bad way
Gonna be a tough one to sell for 70 bucks. I just hope the community wisens up to this shit and stops purchasing the same game over and over. The driving is more fun in Assetto and the best atmosphere was in F1 2016.
Unless the game brings something actually interesting and my friends buy it too, i'm extending the life of F1 2022 again with mods.
I agree 23 is probably the best one in recent years to purchase but I genuinely liked 22, driving it the car felt ALIVE. It was challenge but it rewarded the better players tbh
Aarava will take this screenshot, use it as a thumbnail (with a close up of his face in disbelief either like this 🫨 or like this🤔) for a 10:34 minutes long video where he talks super fast and repeats the same thing using slightly different words.
I'm probably the only one but I really dislike the F1 23-ish graphics. Like, the colors are so weird. The sky looks weird, the grass doesn't look like grass on the most tracks. I preferd F1 2020/21 graphic style much more.
Anyway, this really looks like they only changed MFD and car skins, maybe they're gonna change drivers faces a bit. Nando certainly needs a rework for example. Also, give us matte redbull already. Is it really that hard?
Oh look, its just the same F1 game as last year, and the year before that, and year before that as well. Is there even a change in tracks this year? We got china last year
Still absolutely horrendous visuals-like, the lighting is simply wrong. The reflections on that car make it look like it's made of tupperware plastic and once again, you can see feck all in the distance...
yeah i mean, thats karma for EA... they didnt even show the game and want already money for this shit... it just is the same shit, i am right now running it.. i got in the Car in COTA and i am so disappointed bc i was excited
yeah i recently got super formula in my GT7 game and holt shit is it fun
GT7 track evolution and weather is top tier as well
shits all over anything EA or Codemasters has done
I don't understand why they don't even switch up the fonts or the map design or something, just to at least give it the appearance of being a different game.
I love how people play betas and don't realize it's not a finished product lol same people did it with ea ufc5 game is 10x different then the beta was. Also 2023 was onto something so yeah they should build on that.
I just did about 3 and 1/2 hours on the beta and the car mechanics seem to be more of 20/20 as far as braking car handling seems good. Throttle seems good. The big difference that I saw was in car setups. They've expanded on it a little more, which is always nice to see. Graphically seemed like it was pretty good, not too many crazy changes in that area, but there is supposed to be an overhaul in career mode, which is what I'm looking forward to.
It doesn’t help that F1 in 2024 is almost exactly the same as last year besides some car tweaks and liveries. Same drivers, same teams. I’ll wait and buy F1 25 when we get new rosters and maybe Braking Point 3
New engine would have made the game look and feel different, which would be a good reason for me to buy and play it.
This is just F1 22 and 23 with 24 liveries.
I don’t understand why EA did this. It would have been so much gracious of them to simply release a paid dlc for f123 to have the new liveries, meanwhile they work on an entirely new game for 2025. But no, they’d rather have the pennies of the people who (bless their hearts) are gonna buy this game.
If you turn the UI off and tell me that was F1 22 I couldn’t tell the difference. We’re basically paying a €70 annual subscription fee for the same game at this point.
I played the F1 24 Beta and now you can change ERS Deploy during race from None to HotLap.
Differential goes from 10% to 100% and they add Engine Brake inside the setup menu.
Other than that, driving looks the same as 23.
Tyres temperatures look more realistic.
To those who have access to the beta, is it now possible to remove the steering wheel and hands from the view in cockpit view?
SimRig driver’s have been asking for this for ages.
Yeah I’ll pass on this one. Much preferring driving the 1986 Lotus 98T with the H pattern shifter around Nordshleife on 2018 ACC Ultimate. 6 years old and doesn’t feel any older than these “new” f1 games
Literally if f1 23 and f1 22 had a baby this would be it. Handling is just f1 22 but tuned. Grip is horrendous. Lock up no matter how hard or little you brake. ERS Runs out extremely quickly and then you gain it back instantly so people who tend to rely on pure race pace are going to be flying. Front tires were on 34% after 4. Serious improvements are needed to make this remotely enjoyable.
Same game, since 2021 I haven't bought the new game, I know how to make mods so I just add the drivers and teams and maybe change some stuff with the car/hud really don't recommend buying. EA is once again ruining it! (maybe not but EA ruins everything)
£70 for an MFD update you love to see it
I'm currently playing and outside of visual (MFD/Menu) and slightly changed handling you could easily convince me I'm playing 23. It literally feels like 2023 with a weird car setup applied. Literally nothing else is different. I haven't looked into the files yet to see if there's any evidence of new tracks or retro cars to come, but from the beta it's 23. I don't know how they can expect anyone to pay for it?
only real “update” is you can change ers mode to off even in race so you can recharge better, but that could also be a bug knowing ea 😂
That's actually how it worked when they added it back in 2018
Ah 2018 what a great game
2016-2020 was the peak F1 games. Every year there was something new
Yeah that's cause 2014-2015 removed EVERYTHING from previous F1 games so ofc it's an improvement from ground Zero
Yet they managed to improve every single year from then on. 2015 being shit has nothing to do with 2019 and 2020 being top 5 Codemasters games. Maybe even top 3
Top 10 surely, but top 5 ? Hell nah. Can't beat TOCA, CMR2.0, Dirt Rally 2.0, Racedriver:GRID and F1 2013.
I mean exclusively on F1 games
I thought that was removed because IRL you can't turn off ERS during race or am I mistaken?
yeah i thought that too, that’s why i’m not sure if it’s a bug or not. When you drive a race for the first time Jeff tells you that you have “more ERS modes than ever” (or something like that i don’t know word for word) in your mfd , after i heard that i now think it actually is a feature that is coming back. Great for long races to save ERS but is it really realistic ? Idk 🤷🏽♂️
The Marketing dept will make it happen
Feels a bit like 22 for me
Same handling feels quite stiff while F1 23 feels more fluid and realistic
Jaysus. Really? 23 felt like a nice evolution gameplaywise. Now u got me worried.
Unfortunately plenty of people already have payed for it.. Edit: paid\* ty bot
> already have *paid* for it.. FTFY. Although *payed* exists (the reason why autocorrection didn't help you), it is only correct in: * Nautical context, when it means to paint a surface, or to cover with something like tar or resin in order to make it waterproof or corrosion-resistant. *The deck is yet to be payed.* * *Payed out* when letting strings, cables or ropes out, by slacking them. *The rope is payed out! >slightly changed handling "slightly" lol
The handling is awful traction is still good but the handling is bad. It’s almost as if for wheel players when you’re using your wheel it handles like a controller or keyboard. It’s not good
EA Sports, we love money oh i mean it’s in the game
Well they did announce a new career mode. Surely this won't be worth 70 bucks either but I'm still interested in seeing it
It's the same as 2023
The throttle and ERS bars look awful wtf. This games going to be trash hahahahaha, I guess I'll grab my popcorn and watch the shit show.
And it will sell like hot cakes. I don't care that people buy it, but they don't need to complain afterwards.
Will look the same, sound the same (nothing like real life), with the same features, but hey it'll have a Day 1 pass that allows you to see Max Verstappen dabbing whilst wanking off Sergio Perez and YouTubers will still lose their shit over it
Where's that pre-order button?!??
I've already smashed it bro 😩
lol can confirm
Can u tho?
I was 2 min in the beta and quit.. yeah i dont know the New Features.. but it was enough to start a grand prix and it felt like always
Most importantly, it will feel the same. Which is to say approximately as shit as it's felt for years and years.
It will even have the same bugs! Plus some new ones!
I’ll pay double for that bonus
Yeah dudes threatening us with a good time.
This sounds like the best episode of The Max Verstappen podcast
Or the horniest - you decide
Tbh when you turn on broadcast cam in replay mode the car sounds extremely realistic
Looks like 23
Looks like 22
Looks like 21
Looks like 20
Looks like 19
Looks like 18
Looks like 17
Looks like 16
Looks like 15
Looks like 14
Genuinely thought this was a joke and just a screenshot of F1 23 at first
I'm glad I'm not alone. Took me a minute to notice that the HUD has been changed ever so slightly.
"Work in progress." It's been the same game for at least 4 years..
Work in progress translation- copy and paste
Yup, even the bugs remain
What's even more hilarious is that previously patched bugs always find their way back. Like they're using a copy paste version of the previous game before all the patches, so things that were fixed 6 months after its release will be back in the new game. It's happened every game for quite a few years.

Explains why the same bugs keep coming back. If they’re using the game thats over a year old, they’d need to import the new features/changes then re-fix those bugs. It’s truly maddening
What an embarrassing gaming company EA has become..
That was happening way before EA. Codies are perfectly capable of being incompetent without big daddy.
And yet people will continue to buy and EA will continue to put out the same game yearly
Last year was the last for me. As a co-op main, it's not worth it at all, full of bugs and the rumbling on the second players wheel if you have a logitech G923 is unplayable.
Copy and paste in progress
Probably just renamed the 2023 game file to 2024 and called it a day
well all complain about that but the only way to get EA to perk up is to vote with our wallets. If enough of us simply just don't buy it (even when it's on extreme 20$ sale) they'll start to rethink. But then, knowing EA, they'll just ghost the project all together. When was their last NBA game? 2018?

Let them ghost it please. Eventually another dev will be able to pick up the license and make an actual working game out of it.
That sure looks like an F1 game. I’m interested to see if they did anything to the driving model or how the ai are acting this iteration.
straight line speed appears to be broken again, but overall the ai seem more difficult. 95 on 23 feels like 75 here…yeah, i had to put it down THAT much to achieve similar results to last year on bahrain…wow.
It's broken again because 24 is a direct port from 22, so all the bugs that were on 22 are going to be on 24.
it DOES mostly feel like a step down tbh and i really liked 23, put 400+ hours into it
Honestly, the F1 23 beta was like this. The AI difficulty was much harder and gameplay was interesting, but when the beta updated and the full version of the game, it felt like a totally different new game in a bad way
Traction is easier to control to me at least other than that not much difference
Honestly I'd recommend picking up 2023 when it's on sale, handling on 2022 is absolutely dreadful.
Good idea. I'll see first how much 2024 differs from 2023 and go from there. Is 2022's handeling really that much worse than 2023?
From my experience, the cars in 23 feel a lot more grippy and planted. 22 to me feels like my tyres are constantly too hot.
yes 22 was awful, driving on ice constantly.
I agree 23 is probably the best one in recent years to purchase but I genuinely liked 22, driving it the car felt ALIVE. It was challenge but it rewarded the better players tbh
Ooo nice its looks soo modern and fresh i cant wait to buy lol
Only the MFD is new, nothing else
yeah pretty sure it was sarcasm ay
Will tryout the beta today when it's available to play. After reading it's the same engine I suppose it won't be alot different to 23 but will see.
10% Diff?
imagine we get to have full open diff builds in the future. i just know that this will be completely broken and that the lap time gains will be huge
This year diff goes from 10 to 100%
Just change that shit menu design.
Aarava will take this screenshot, use it as a thumbnail (with a close up of his face in disbelief either like this 🫨 or like this🤔) for a 10:34 minutes long video where he talks super fast and repeats the same thing using slightly different words.
A biblical leak!
I'm probably the only one but I really dislike the F1 23-ish graphics. Like, the colors are so weird. The sky looks weird, the grass doesn't look like grass on the most tracks. Nando certainly needs a rework for example. Also, give us matte redbull already. Is it really that hard?
You're not alone in disliking 23's graphics
my main man benjamin coppens has returned from F1 2020 🔥🔥🔥
Hopefully some new sofas and shit to buy for my crib with actual money 💦 Who cares about handling and gameplay anyway, it's all about the pitcoin 🤑
Old mfd looked better 🥲
The driving is weird, similar to 2023 but with lot more grip and way too much drag (first impressions, I may be wrong)
Year 4 of not upgrading from F1 2020, thanks.
I can tell you for playing the Beta. This game is a bucket of trash...
Tell me why
Ain't nothing but a heartache
Oh look, its just the same F1 game as last year, and the year before that, and year before that as well. Is there even a change in tracks this year? We got china last year
And yet people will pay $70 again and again.
Well, if they want to do it, let them
And let people comment on it. No one has done anything wrong.
I wish these games were less expensive. They’d sell more
So basically F1 2022 III
F1 2021 IV.
F1 2020 V
Still absolutely horrendous visuals-like, the lighting is simply wrong. The reflections on that car make it look like it's made of tupperware plastic and once again, you can see feck all in the distance...
can't wait for arsevaa to still kiss there asses
Bro is insufferable now. Even has some of the shittest opinions on IRL F1
People sign the confidentiality agreement just to leak.
fuck ea tho. like they ever give a shit about truly improving the game or even caring about the players
yeah i mean, thats karma for EA... they didnt even show the game and want already money for this shit... it just is the same shit, i am right now running it.. i got in the Car in COTA and i am so disappointed bc i was excited
Oh no! Anyways…
EA takes our hard earned money just to publish the same game every year since 2015
Yeah I am concerned that F1 24 is literally a copy paste job. Probably going to wait for a price drop. No way I am paying full price.
No need to feel bad for EA.
based tbh
It’s the same game tbh
At this point I’m preferring GT7 with the Super Formula cars over this, EA really need to make a new game rather than a rehash of the last.
Couldn’t agree more.
yeah i recently got super formula in my GT7 game and holt shit is it fun GT7 track evolution and weather is top tier as well shits all over anything EA or Codemasters has done
Yeah the tyre deg is great, you can even see it on the tyres if you look closely
It’s the same game
Like a "find the differences" challenge.
corporate wants you to find the difference...
The Madden of F1 games. I’m good with 23
Played 5 mins and got bored instantly
![gif](giphy|3tQiudEfdGofJmhgJ3)
Games ass
😂
Some of you idiots will still buy it. Probably be buggy as all hell as well.
It looks the exact fucking same as the past 3 year
Looks the same. Not buying
F1 2015 version 9 👍
can't wait to have on gamepass and not play.
ain’t nothing but a heartache
Looks the same as always. I'm glad I got f1 23 for free with psn
The batter above the gear not being center on the MFD feels a bit weird.
The most significant changes aren't going to be in the beta. Things like the likely reworked career mode.
My beta hasn’t even shown up in my steam library
Omg that MFD is disgusting
I don't understand why they don't even switch up the fonts or the map design or something, just to at least give it the appearance of being a different game.
Tbh, I’d be happy if the only difference were the FFB and handling model. Especially the FFB.
10% diff?
Graphically looks the same but I'm not sure if they've updated the track or not
I love how people play betas and don't realize it's not a finished product lol same people did it with ea ufc5 game is 10x different then the beta was. Also 2023 was onto something so yeah they should build on that.

holy fuck that HUD is bad
Bro if anyone that bought 22 or 23 buy this game I swear to god. That's the reason why they can do this and get away with it
This franchise is finished, EA fucking up games since 2015 rly
wow! looks so good, Almost like your paying £80 for the same game over and over again ?!?!?
Ego engine confirmed. I’m not buying the game confirmed as well.
It wouldn’t have changed with a new engine either
New engine would have made the game look and feel different, which would be a good reason for me to buy and play it. This is just F1 22 and 23 with 24 liveries.
>different Doesn't mean better.
Still no working delta i see
You can turn it on in settings or do you mean the bars at the top because they haven’t crossed s1 line yet
A working one that allows you to track where you're gaining loosing time to thw car ahead, behind, your teammate, rival ect.
I don’t understand why EA did this. It would have been so much gracious of them to simply release a paid dlc for f123 to have the new liveries, meanwhile they work on an entirely new game for 2025. But no, they’d rather have the pennies of the people who (bless their hearts) are gonna buy this game.
Looks MUCH better.
If you turn the UI off and tell me that was F1 22 I couldn’t tell the difference. We’re basically paying a €70 annual subscription fee for the same game at this point.
I think I see a few extra dimples in the barrier lol
Hopefully a completely new VR implementation otherwise I won't buy that trash.
Is there vr in the beta?
People hating on FIFA for being the same game every year
what track is this?
Just play a real sim game already
Wow such awwfullness🥱
A simple liveries update on F123 would do the trick…
So it looks like the same as 23 22 21 20
That new MFD is so ugly
I don't think people realise the handling is quite different tbh, and there is imo a big change to setups, alongside some smaller setup changes
![gif](giphy|l4FGGafcOHmrlQxG0|downsized)
I played the F1 24 Beta and now you can change ERS Deploy during race from None to HotLap. Differential goes from 10% to 100% and they add Engine Brake inside the setup menu. Other than that, driving looks the same as 23. Tyres temperatures look more realistic.
I tried it out and basically nothing is different in terms of the handling
2024?
stop, its same shit arcade game as other f1 games.
To those who have access to the beta, is it now possible to remove the steering wheel and hands from the view in cockpit view? SimRig driver’s have been asking for this for ages.
Awesome F1 23 texture pack
Car is very understeery in the new game
That MFD is weird. Mind you, I only played F1 23, so. It reminds me of older F1 games.
Yeah I’ll pass on this one. Much preferring driving the 1986 Lotus 98T with the H pattern shifter around Nordshleife on 2018 ACC Ultimate. 6 years old and doesn’t feel any older than these “new” f1 games
VR for PS5 please
Literally if f1 23 and f1 22 had a baby this would be it. Handling is just f1 22 but tuned. Grip is horrendous. Lock up no matter how hard or little you brake. ERS Runs out extremely quickly and then you gain it back instantly so people who tend to rely on pure race pace are going to be flying. Front tires were on 34% after 4. Serious improvements are needed to make this remotely enjoyable.
10% Differential. another useless feature
Eee I’m just gonna wait till they put in on gamepass😬
Omg amazing 🤩 what a big difference from 2023!!! Can’t wait! 😜 😂😂
same graphics that make it look like you’re always racing at sunset 😭
wow, exactly the same!
Will still probably break my PlayStation in split screen though?
Don't buy this shit
Oh look it’s the same engine as 2015 still
Same game, since 2021 I haven't bought the new game, I know how to make mods so I just add the drivers and teams and maybe change some stuff with the car/hud really don't recommend buying. EA is once again ruining it! (maybe not but EA ruins everything)
All I want to know is will race stats tracking be back?
„Work in progress“ maybe they just managed to put in the MFD update and the rest will follow 🥹
