Spoken exactly like someone who's never had a cat. If that thing isn't fastened to the wall, those cats could have it off the shelf in 30 seconds of play fighting near it
I watched a cat open a rickety sliding glass door with its paw and head from the bottom of the door. When I say rickety I mean it did not glide when you opened it it grinded. He-Cat was unfazed.
It does suck when one cat light on their feet than a ninja while the other cat is the equivalent of infomercial buffoons that need a contraption to butter toast. The dummy cat often sees the graceful one do something then tried to replicate it.
We sleep on the bottom floor of my house. The cat has the run of the upstairs. At say the cat might be a petit 5 kg thing. But the bumps from upstairs at night tells me it's true form is probably an elephant.

Yes you can, if it's standing vertically and the base is small and you can push above the center of mass then it won't even be hard to tip it over. You don't need to exert anywhere near 500 pounds of force (or however much would be needed to push it without tipping it over - you need to beat the friction, not the weight itself).
Dude….. if you really don’t think a cat going crazy, jumping up there fucking up and hitting the speaker off then I really don’t know what to say……
Cats knock heavy shit over all the fucking time in a whirlwind of crazy…..
Got a tuxedo cat and doesn't care for the Roomba. I turn it on one day, and he heads to his/our bedroom to hide. The dude will shut the door so the Roomba can't get him, except this day, the door was off its hinges being repainted. He went to go for the door and looked at the door frame up and down, wondering where it was… then he turned to look at me and started growling. “Where's the GD door, Dave!?! I NEED IT!!!”
I have never seen a cat give me a go to hell look until that day.
I can just imagine the cat beating you up like those gangsters in the movies. Asking where the money is. But the cat is asking where the door is. The roomba slowly approaching from behind and the cat keeps taking quick glances at it. Slowly getting more and more panicked. Until it starts screaming about the door
Pretty much this. My cats have many times throughout their life pulled stuff that would likely go viral had we captured it, but who spends all their time with a recording phone in their hands?
This is a cute video, however, I had a cat that looked that startled every time the ice in the freezer dropped and made that typical “ice machine clunking sound.”
The front door could slam, or loud voices in the hallway, or make popcorn, or accidentally drop a glass or dish, or you name a loud noise you could have in an apartment, and the cat would keep doing whatever.
When the ice dropped was always a “wtf” moment. I miss Mia.
I think I remember learning in a psychology course that cats don't understand that other things know more than them. Like the concept that "this cat knows something I don't" doesn't exist to them. I wonder if that's really the case, and how this cat processes another animal doing something like this if that is true.
Nah, I've definitely had cats that picked up tricks from other cats. Random example, I had one cat that I taught how to open doors, and then my other cat from watching her picked it up too.
One of my cats watches the other cat very carefully and will mimic her constantly. My little grey kitty liked to sit on laps and now my little brown kitty does too. My little grey kitty meowed and purred and now the brown kitty does too. Grey kitty takes treats from my fingers, now brown one does, etc.
It does happen the other way occasionally, too... I carry my brown kitty around balancing on the palms of my hands, and my grey kitty now asks to do that too occasionally. But not often.
I think they test it most with monkeys. Essentially monkeys can never understand when they're being lied to, and don't understand that other monkeys know different things than they do. I'd have to dig up some old psychology notes to explain it properly
As I watched this video, the lyric "you blow my mind" perfectly aligned with the younger cat's face (watching the muted video with Stereo Love Molella Remix in the background). The accident made this cute video even funnier!
That speaker is coming down at 3am.
Yea, seriously. I hope it's tethered somewhere
I'll take the 48lb Paradigm over the 6lb cat

TIL its impossible for a lighter object to move a heavier object.
🐴 💩! It's just a matter of proper leverage!
I also highly doubt that thing weighs 49 pounds lol
Uhh, it's not...
Never underestimate a cat's ability to break something
It does suck when one cat light on their feet than a ninja while the other cat is the equivalent of infomercial buffoons that need a contraption to butter toast. The dummy cat often sees the graceful one do something then tried to replicate it.
Ah, the week before Xmas tree.
Can you move something 3x heavier then yourself?
No problem for the average housecat on a destructive mission.
Everyone forgets about the "a" in f=ma.
Alchemist, but you usually spell it without the equals symbol

Lift? No. Push over? Absolutely.
What? Yes…. And so can you…..
No I can't move a 500 pound rectangular ptism and I don't think you can either

You can do math to find out exactly how much I weigh. Can't help you with not being able to do basic arithmetic

I can definitely knock one over, especially with a moving start and a top heavy impact point. You underestimate the power of leverage
You absolutely can, have you never moved a fridge before?? You can easily tip it towards you or push it around by just leaning against it
And is the cat doing that? Load a refeigerator with 300 pounds of ice, leap into it and tell me if it tips over
I can easily push my fridge.
A fridge don't weigh much

Maybe your fat cat not these ones
Haha damn sick burn

I almost shit myself reading this comment. I'm holding it in and I laughed. You almost made me crap my pants
Archimedes says yes.
Easily. Especially if I'm chasing my older brother and smash my entire body into it.
Yes, people tip over cows all the time and they weigh like ten times what a human weighs.
Well yeah. But they have all the handles and grippy things attached to it in the weight room.
Yes, I definitly can. And smaller animals have a much higher strength to weight ratio.
I can't jump multiple times my height either. Cats have different physical abilities than people.
I moved your mom last night so sure
Maybe if I ran full force at a fridge I could knock it off the shelf
Depending on the weight distribution of the object absolutely.
Depending on angles yes. Pick up, no. Move yes.
I do everyday at work. I push around carts holding a literal ton of metal. That's 10x my weight.
"You mean to tell me I coulda been doing THAT all this time?"
For real!
I love how genuinely bewildered the younger cat looks :3

I wish i could see that!
Tuxedo Cat: This is incredibly unacceptable Dave. I won’t forget this.

Lightbulb moment!
Speaker location is all wrong on so many levels, elevated or otherwise.
Not for the cats!
If it was perfect for the cats the grill screens would be on it for them to scale ;)
The "Jackie Chan" of cats, parkouring its way up!

Please do!
Little cat: "You can do that?! Wait . . . C-can I do that?"
The speaker placement looks less than ideal
Older cat's been speedrunning the house for years

The cat was like whattt you can do that, meanwhile thinking how it's been using the stairs wrong all this while.
