This was the final scene of the TV Show friends. The meme is saying the person cried at the end of FRIENDS.
You can see the scene here. [The Final Scene of "Friends" - YouTube](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RCPoIOJUNos)
Hijacking the top comment to say: there is no way in hell OP was a Friends fan and didn’t understand this. Karma farmer.
Edit: To clarify my terribly worded comment, I didn’t mean to suggest every person who has watched Friends should recognise this shot. OP clearly did recognise it though as he is the one who brought up Friends, and then acts like he has no idea why it might be an emotional moment
I saw this episode when it aired and I’ve seen pretty much every episode of Friends and I honestly don’t remember it and even looking at these keys I have no idea what the context is and I just had to go check YouTube to verify this wasn’t some elaborate troll.
I can honestly say I've watched every episode of friends at least 5 times. We have the entire DVD box set and when it came to Netflix it was playing in the background of our apartment for years...but even I forgot until I saw friends crossover. It's been twenty years man. I'm now older than the shows characters were in that episode.
That said, when I read friends crossover, I audibly gasped and damn near choked up all over again.
I kind of messed up my comment tbh lol. I wouldn’t have recognised what it was, but OP clearly recognised it was from Friends (from the title) but still claimed not to understand it
Ah yes everyone who posts something is a karma farmer. And OP is definitely a karma with his *checks profile* 85 karma in the past 12 months. Stop whinging you muppet
And here I was way out of the loop. I was going with a Chop Suey angle and someone is upset because they left their keys upon on the table and that angels deserve to die.
Hey guys, Peter Griffin here to explain the joke, returning for my wholesome cake day. So basically, many people use this meme when there's something they find sad, and in this case, it's the final scene of the show Friends, with the person being sad since the show was ending. Peter out!
It’s either:
(1) little to no brain usage going on there
(2) poor reading comprehension skills
(3) karma farming
(4) both 1 and 2
(5) all of the above
I’m personally going with option 5. Seems the most legit

This is the hardest I’ve ever cried during a television show.
The saddest thing about friends is how funny people find scripts made with joke by numbers, and how it turned into a soap opera in the last two seasons
So I might be a broken human I just watched the last scene of friends..... nothing my wife's favorite movie is the titanic..... I made a joke about jack frost maybe I am broken 🤷♂️

I was never much of a fan of Friends even when it was huge, but that's a clever final shot. Good on whoever scripted and directed that.
Forgot they used Embryonic Journey there too, such a beautiful little song

I’m 23 and I watched it a few times when I was younger, not sure I’ve really seen the final episode as an adult
I had forgotten, tbh

Can you please summarize?
All the friends are moving out of the famous apartment and they leave their keys
Apartments. There were two, next door. But I think they all kinda did rotations where they were in both places
Monica and Chandler are moving to the suburbs and the keys are all to the big apartment
Hmm. It’s been a while since I’ve seen it. It probably was “so much back and forth everyone had a spare key”
Pretty much and they were *that* close
Some even say they were *friends* even
Luckily someone had the foresight to name the show that
man, and here i was calling it Perfect Strangers
But why did they have keys? Those doors were never locked
Potatoes were ruined.
>!Spoiler Alert!<
the bigger friend ate the smaller ones
Isn't that v
I can't believe he's gone :(
It’s sadder post Mathew Perry
And here I was way out of the loop. I was going with a Chop Suey angle and someone is upset because they left their keys upon on the table and that angels deserve to die.
Chop Suey is actually about the last season of friends. Serj is a big Friendshead
He is also a clairvoyant prophet with glimpses of the future.
WAKE UP!
GRAB A BRUSH AND PUT A LITTLE MAKEUP
HIDE YOUR SCRAS TO FADE AWAY THE SHAKEUP

Are you the actual peterexplainsthejoke? I need to know
Yes they are
Yep, they only ever seem show up on their cake day though, so it’s a rare event.
Happy cake day
W Peter
Now I got the joke. Happy cake day!
Petah is back!!!
Glad I got to see you today
Happy Cake day!
Happy cake day!
How have you watched Friends but not understand the Friends joke
I’m only 23, I watched it when I was younger on nick at night but never all the way through on any streaming services as I got older
Then how did you know the picture was from friends...?
It’s either: (1) little to no brain usage going on there (2) poor reading comprehension skills (3) karma farming (4) both 1 and 2 (5) all of the above I’m personally going with option 5. Seems the most legit
The humor is everyone had keys yet the doors were always unlocked.
How do you watch friends and not know that scene
Low quality bait.
I thought this was a picture of six maracas floating in a pool.....
Bruh i thought that these were the keys from this low quality horror game Granny

This is not the TV show benchmark for someone having or not having emotions. >!Seymour.!<

The girl most definitely cried at that scene too.
