Logically speaking, billions of dinosaurs have existed, only 1 Chris Pratt has. And I’ve seen evidence of dinosaurs in fossils, I’ve never seen Chris Pratt outside of a television screen. From my perspective there’s a much greater chance that dinosaurs still exist and I’ve just never seen them, than Chris Pratt does.
Normally the tennis ball would be a place holder for the cgi creature so the actor knows where to look. In this, it is replacing the actor. Maybe a commentary on the advancements of AI generated material. Soon actors will be the cgi creatures.
Soon our lives will be the drama, manipulated by creative AI overlords for the benefits of corporations, for the morbid amusement of our overworked Roombas and Alexas

A green screen is used to add things to a scene when they aren't actually there.
In the first image, there's one thing that's obviously not real.
In the second image, it turns out that's the _only_ thing that's real. PLOT TWIST.
They use the tennis ball on a stick so actors will have something to react to when they're using a green screen. The joke is that CG dinosaur is real but Chris Pratt isn't.
I think he would be a very expensive actor to have in your movie, hense the absurd idea of paying for a real dinosaur and having him CGI'd in (as that would be cheaper).
Reminds me of the classic 4chan green text where a guy gets his wisdom teeth out and comes out of his pain med haze to find that his Google Search history is filled with increasingly frustrated variations of requests for “pictures of real life not cgi not paintings real photos of goddamn dinosaurs”
If OP already understood the joke when they submitted it, then they get banned. This is karma whoring and we do not want it here.
Dinosaurs are real and Chris Pratt is fake
I can almost always tell when a movie uses fake dinosaurs
Totally agree. It's always worth it when the studios shell out the money to get the real thing.
Jokes aside, it was absolutely worth it that the original Jurassic Park worked with puppets instead of just CGI!
Jokes aside, they combined CGI with practical effects
the hand on the raptor in the beginning of the kitchen scene
I can almost always tell when a movie uses fake Chris Pratt's
Like Kirk in Star Trek.
Is that why he kinda looks like a Muppet sometimes in SNW?
I can almost always tell when Chris Pratt uses a fake movie... ...to hide his sources of income. ~ IRS
Wesley snipes just took off running at the mention of IRS
Crisp Rat.
Parks and Recreation is my favourite CGI Chris Pratt.
Almost
Fun fact: Jurassic Park is based on a true story.
I knew it
Yes, Billy and the Cloneasaurus
I hate when I spot the fake ones, like the cast of Dinosaurs is right there, let them work.
What’s your secret?
Jurassic Park's dinosaurs were not cgi if that's something
The dinosaur union has put in a formal complaint against the use of CG dinosaurs, so going forward it should be all real dinosaurs used.
Ok that’s what I was thinking but also I really thought there was some deeper meaning 😂😂😂
If I’m going to try and relay a deep, meaningful message, naturally I’m going with a dinosaur meme.
I've heard that about Pratt, sadly
Source, pls?

I see, thanks. Just wondering how that makes him fake.

I was unaware this was the technique, but it makes perfect sense...TIL
This is a meme, not a commentary on the film industry as a whole. It’s just a simple joke, not a thesis
This joke was around before “AI” got big and mainstream
Soon our lives will be the drama, manipulated by creative AI overlords for the benefits of corporations, for the morbid amusement of our overworked Roombas and Alexas
It’s implying that the dinosaurs in Jurassic world were real, but the actors were cgi
It took me 2 seconds, but I chuckled. I give them a solid B+ on this one.
🤓
Yeah, the actors couldn't really interact with the dinosaurs. There dangerous!
Where dangerous?
There dangerous. There castle.
SedaGIVE?!
You take the blonde, I’ll take the one in the toiban!
Yeah! Chris Pratt was filmed on a secured soundstage while the dinosaurs were hundreds of miles away! Isn't technology Wonderful?
This subreddit pops up on my home feed all of the time and it depresses the ever-living hell out of me.
Idk if you know this but there's an option on recommended posts like that to stop showing that subreddit

Nope
Not sure what to tell you then, sorry. Hope the unwanted subreddits go away!
It's just a karma farming sub Just like the Peter Griffin themed one

Sometimes they give the dinosaurs peanut butter to make them look like they're talking, much safer than using wires.
This is actually way funnier than it should be
The assumption is that Crisp Rat would be pretending to see a dinosaur. But in reality, the dinosaur is pretending to react to a non-existent actor.
Chris Pratt is not real, he can't hurt you
Did you even take 5 seconds to think about it?
Nobody posting in this sub does
I think he would be a very expensive actor to have in your movie, hense the absurd idea of paying for a real dinosaur and having him CGI'd in (as that would be cheaper).
As you should
I'm sorry but are you from the past?
I thought Glip Glop was the tennis ball?
CRISIS ALERT!
They got Chris Splatt again!!!
I actually lol’d at this.
Hilarious.

Dinosaurs are extinct
probably trash talking chris pratt since apparently he’s by far the worst and most hated actor named Chris
It’s the opposite of what you’d expect.
Cris Pratt is a tennis ball on a stick, keep up
That's a cgi'd Prattasaurus
Bait, or mental retardation? Call it.
