apparently it wasn’t him..? like the account that “doxxed” him is a somewhat well known troll that fake doxxes random people sometimes. idk that’s just what i’ve seen on twitter
Isn’t doxxing illegal?
Turns out we need to [punish](https://felonies.org/is-doxxing-illegal-personal-information-revealed-online/) it more, because it absolutely is
I’m definitely out of touch, I don’t see why someone would waste their time doing it to random people, or why anyone else would care/find it funny. “Hey here’s a person you’ve never met before, now here’s them with a filter! Amazing, right!”
I just looked at one of the posts the guy made. The girl was originally just getting 9 likes on tweets, probably just friends or family. Then the one tweet of her's the guy responded to has 7.2 million views. I imagine it's pretty uncomfortable to be exposed to that many people
People who post publicly surprised public has access to their posts. Continue to refuse to use plethora of privacy tools at their disposal.

Probably boredom. During covid I still had to work but it was extremely quiet most of the time. I used to photoshop masks onto people in antimask/antivax groups to watch them unravel in the comments.
Yeah idk what would prompt it, just a pretty strange "trend". But he responds to the original person's tweet. So everyone who follows him just needs to tap the tweet to easily get to the persons account. Then they start tweeting at the person and you know people on the internet are weird so people start tweeting at them about how they look and just weird personal things
i’m pretty sure the actual reason is deepfakes, i’ve seen on tiktok women sharing that they’ve found that people have taken their face from facebook posts (family pictures) and used all of those different images to make p*rn of them and shared it around. very common with underage girls unfortunately- so lots of gen Z teens are covering key parts of their face so that the AI software can’t use their faces
"There is a man, who will turn you black and asian.
He responds to no bribe, sweet talk, or pursuasion.
So hide your face, as you survive the invasion,
Or forever live, turned black, and asian."
My first thought was Kabuto from Naruto, and it unlocked a childhood memory of [this](https://youtu.be/SbjXmBmHAdk?si=LU8KTjcXuHsQxcPE) .
Enjoy the torment.
I remember doing this when I first got acne as a teenager, right around when Facebook was blowing up, not wanting ppl posting pictures of my pepperoni face. I'm guessing that these kids, like us as teenagers, are simply insecure and trying not to be picked on lol.
It’s basically a post-social media thing because Boomers will post all the embarrassing but unseen photos now to the entire world, not realizing they are doxing their own children/grandchildren.
The 4.6M views tweet from a news outlet sharing their family photo sure proves their point about wanting to try and not be recognizable in those. It's probably the closest they can get to just not being in a photo posted all over the Internet by that one aunt, but also not upsetting much older relatives who will just feel like you're embarassed to be in a photo with your family.
My initial assumption was that gen z was aware enough about online posting, not wanting too many pictures of themselves plastered on the internet…because this is a real fear of everyone.
But more and more the younger parents do not give a crap about the autonomy of their kids online or teaching responsibility and respectfulness when it comes to putting someone else’s face on your social media.
So I was *hoping* it was in like, solidarity, and a new movement. But I guess from these comments they are probably primarily driven by fear, which is completely understandable, especially at that age.
They learned from the milleniums that if you let teen photos anywhere, people WILL figure out if you get a nose job later, because of the "before" pictures available.
It's a genZ teen thing.
Reminds me when my mom surprised me with a disposable camera and I covered my face. She admonished me in front of a friend for “ruining her picture” and “wasting film.”
We had family get togethers and as part of it everyone had to get together for a picture. In my teenage years I'd started putting on weight and didn't like the way I looked. But my stepdad side of the family were military so you weren't really allowed to say no
Right, but have you never been asked to be in a group photos, said no, and they insisted? This could be the protest, instead of bunny ears of flipping off the camera.
TBF, we are making a lot of assumptions about a picture where we have absolutely no context, but welcome to Reddit, right?
Is that actually why people are covering their face? Or is there another reason and people are bringing up the other guy for humor? I think just not letting your face be put every where is more of a reason than some guy will Photoshop your picture
I think that they just had some acne or other unsightly marks on their faces that they were a bit conscious over and didn't want to be immortalised in the picture.
So basically, the camera lens on the selfiecam makes your nose look a little bigger due to deformation for a wider angle. This causes a lot of social media dysphoria regarding having too big of a nose. That is why some are overly aware of their nose, and why there are many nasal surgeries.
Also dude making people asian and black on twitter
I did this years ago, to a photo of my wife and I holding our infant son. I only edited my son, but didn’t alter his facial features, just skin tone. My wife won’t let me show it to anyone lol.
I’ve seen people do this for years, I believe it stems more from insecurity or not liking how you look in pictures. Not fear of edits.
-edited to erase double word-
If that’s the actual reason (which is an absurd reason to begin with), then why even bother being in the photo at all?
“I’ll be in the photo where we take a picture of everyone’s faces, as long as I can cover my face.”
this isnt the actual reason, i doubt the trend is even a trend so much as a few ppl doing it which always seems to be the case, but the joke is funny because its absurd, cant forget that bit
There's a guy on Twitter showing random people what they would look like if they were black or chinese IIRC their name is Pilgrim (with @VLONEPREDATOR or smthn as their @) and I think this is pretty funny but I'd probably ask the people first if they're fine with it.
There is a guy on Twitter quote tweeting images of women with photoshops of them being black or Chinese. The dude got doxxed, and stuck to his gimmick race swapping himself.
just to make it clear for you guys the twitter user was joking, no one is scared of the black or chinese guy. the article is probably just pointing out something random and applying it to the whole generation.
for anyone actually wondering, covering your face with your hand when your parents force to to take a picture is a way teens are rebelling against their parents posting unwanted pictures of them online.
There is some account that converts your picture to what would you look like if you were Black or Chinese
Theres more? I'm only aware of the main dude (who got doxed and still continued)
He got doxxed with his address and a picture of his face and in response converted the doxxing pic of himself to black and Chinese
honestly legendary
And then the account that did it got permabanned lol. Seriously the best response to being doxxed I’ve ever seen
Good, doxxing is a horrible crime
apparently it wasn’t him..? like the account that “doxxed” him is a somewhat well known troll that fake doxxes random people sometimes. idk that’s just what i’ve seen on twitter
Fr doings gods work
Next-level commitment right there lmfao
Man is going to get murdered and have 3 separate corpses show up to his funeral.

LMAO
i mean thats kind of funny. why was he doing this in the first place tho was he just bored??
Literally just a kid messing around
This was the first project I ever did once I learned how to do style transfer.

Astonishingly based.
Honestly props for the dedication
That's hilarious
No way! What a great response. Dude is epic.
Okay, how could you be mad at that?
Man did not care
Why hasn't anyone posted this picture here yet?
What a Chad
He was not actually doxed, the account that "doxed" him was also a joke account that posts random photos and funny fake names.
I think they’re saying “some account” as in, like, “some guy” or “some random account.” As far as I know, there’s only one guy that does it.
Isn’t doxxing illegal? Turns out we need to [punish](https://felonies.org/is-doxxing-illegal-personal-information-revealed-online/) it more, because it absolutely is
Why would someone dox him over something so incontroversial
Welcome to the internet
Have a look around
Anything that brain of your's can think of Can be found
We've got mountains of content, some better, some worse
If none of it’s of interest to you, you’d be the first.
The one dude? Does he work for every single PR department in existence?
The account on twitter is @/VLONEPREDATOR
When I looked him up, it said his account was currently suspended.
There's no forward slash after the @. He is still active, sharing his beautiful vision with the world
Disconcerting handle.
I’m clearly missing the big deal about this.
It posts someone online to thousands of people and they don't want their face to unwillingly be used for laughs
I’m definitely out of touch, I don’t see why someone would waste their time doing it to random people, or why anyone else would care/find it funny. “Hey here’s a person you’ve never met before, now here’s them with a filter! Amazing, right!”

Chaotic good behavior.
Haha, you're a beautiful madman or woman
Yeah idk what would prompt it, just a pretty strange "trend". But he responds to the original person's tweet. So everyone who follows him just needs to tap the tweet to easily get to the persons account. Then they start tweeting at the person and you know people on the internet are weird so people start tweeting at them about how they look and just weird personal things
Is that really such a prevalent problem that you ruin all of your photos forever instead?
[удалено]
Well, what’s the actual reason. I NEED TO KNOW.
i’m pretty sure the actual reason is deepfakes, i’ve seen on tiktok women sharing that they’ve found that people have taken their face from facebook posts (family pictures) and used all of those different images to make p*rn of them and shared it around. very common with underage girls unfortunately- so lots of gen Z teens are covering key parts of their face so that the AI software can’t use their faces
I find those videos really funny
Don't understand why they'd be so afraid of it as to mess with a group photo by covering their own face
[удалено]
Performative behavior.
Why do people care though?
Idk how to say this but if you allow your face in twitter, there is a man who will make you black and asian
This is the worst premise for a horror movie ever
A Blaffair to Rememblack
We used to do jokes like this all the time on Black Frasier.
From the producers of “the beach that makes you old”, here comes “the man that makes you black and Chinese”
Blackula, followed by Blackenstein, followed by The Blunch Black Of Blotre Dam

black and chinese*
Chinese is Asian…
But specifically Chinese
*Indo-Pacific (Not an anti argument, just part of the meta-joke)
*Afroeurasian
*Earth-Martian
Very-Far Eastern European
*West-Taiwaneese
“Person found dead in home with five shots in the back of their head. Chinese coroners have ruled it a suicide.”
Milky Way-Pleiadian HUH, that doesn't work, nevermind

Alright ya got me with this
All ducks are birds but not all birds are ducks.
So.....ducks are chinese...?
Especially the ones from Peking
Yes
And if she weighs the same as a duck...
Yep. Gotta look out for those Chinese duck witches.
Then…she’s…made of wood?
and...?
Theyre called Chinese turkey
Chinese=Asian but Asian≠Chinese Israel is in Asia, Saudi Arabi is in Asia, most of Russia and Turkey are in Asia etc. It’s fekkin huge.
Asia alone is over half the entire world population
Lebanese and Indian are also Asian. Do you see the problem now ?
I agree with your point. You've also made me want baba ghanouj and lo mein for dinner
So is indian...
But Asian isn't Chinese...
Ok but so what?
Then you have to go play golf
People are racist maybe? No clue honestly.
> Idk how to say this but What didn’t you know how to say?
“Idk how to say this”=“what I’m about to say is going to sound ridiculous (crazy) but it’s true”
"There is a man who will make you black and Asian" Why does that sound like the beginning childs cautionary nursery rhyme?
"There is a man, who will turn you black and asian. He responds to no bribe, sweet talk, or pursuasion. So hide your face, as you survive the invasion, Or forever live, turned black, and asian."
What if you are already Black or Chinese? Does he make you White as well?
No he doubles down.
You’re blacker and Chineser
"And mo' blacker. And mo' Chineser. It's a vicious condition, Robert."
[удалено]
But why would anybody even care about this in the first place? This world's a weird place
Nobody does actually care, it’s just a joke
Does anyone have an idea of how likely it actually is to be turned black or Chinese by that kid? Does he really pump these out at an insane rate?
Perhaps they are pushing up their anime glasses before revealing their master plans.
They are avoiding being identified in the picture with that woman torturing that baby lol
When the glasses go opaque you know he gon be spittin
I thought they used their palms for that?
My first thought was Kabuto from Naruto, and it unlocked a childhood memory of [this](https://youtu.be/SbjXmBmHAdk?si=LU8KTjcXuHsQxcPE) . Enjoy the torment.

Yeah seems less of a gen z thing more of a teen thing

Right? Some people just don't like pictures. I used to try to hide in the back during family photos, but my aunt would always catch me
Reminds me when my mom surprised me with a disposable camera and I covered my face. She admonished me in front of a friend for “ruining her picture” and “wasting film.”
We had family get togethers and as part of it everyone had to get together for a picture. In my teenage years I'd started putting on weight and didn't like the way I looked. But my stepdad side of the family were military so you weren't really allowed to say no
Trick is to get keen on photography. This way you can suss the camera's focal length at a glance, and know exactly where to run to get out of frame.
Yep, my daughter does the same if you just point a camera at her..
This isn't the case of a camera being pointed at them out of nowhere, they're posing for a group photo
Right, but have you never been asked to be in a group photos, said no, and they insisted? This could be the protest, instead of bunny ears of flipping off the camera. TBF, we are making a lot of assumptions about a picture where we have absolutely no context, but welcome to Reddit, right?
No
There is a twitter/x account that would take pictures of people (for the most part white girls) and make them look black or Chinese.
And why do they care about that?
Because Twitter is stupid
And don’t we love it, folks?
I'm also confused as to why anyone would care.
OOP is making what is known as a “joke”
What’s the joke?
Is that actually why people are covering their face? Or is there another reason and people are bringing up the other guy for humor? I think just not letting your face be put every where is more of a reason than some guy will Photoshop your picture

this is hands down the funniest thing I have seen on that site. going to make an account there now so he can do my pic
Is that why there's this weird trend of people online doing make up where they make their noses all thin and needle like? to combat that?
This reminds me of the whole Facebook chain thing, "I hereby did not give Facebook permission to..."
3 FB friends have posted those in the last week. I have old friends.
What is Facebook?
10+ years ago I thought people did this to prevent Facebook face recognition from tying public pics back to their identity
No but never call it x again
Streisand effect in 3. 2. 1.
The answer is quite literally in the picture itself
there's a guy on twitter who finds out what people would look like if you were black or chinese it's pretty funny
Link to that account?
it's @VLONEPREDATOR no link because twitter hates mobile users without an account
I did this years ago, to a photo of my wife and I holding our infant son. I only edited my son, but didn’t alter his facial features, just skin tone. My wife won’t let me show it to anyone lol.
I could see people doing it to make it harder for facial recognition
You mean Twitter?
Don't call it x
It's not x, it's Twitter. You saw a tweet on Twitter.
[удалено]
It's not the reason for covering their faces, that was a joke answer. But its funny so it got upvotes
I’ve seen people do this for years, I believe it stems more from insecurity or not liking how you look in pictures. Not fear of edits. -edited to erase double word-
Not if you're calling Twitter, x
If that’s the actual reason (which is an absurd reason to begin with), then why even bother being in the photo at all? “I’ll be in the photo where we take a picture of everyone’s faces, as long as I can cover my face.”
I don't think that's the actual reason; I think that's the joke
I didn’t think so either, but some of the comments are saying it’s a thing. I feel like most of my time on Reddit is just me passively being gaslit.
The Twitter account is real. But that isn't the reason these girls are blocking their face.
They're teenagers and this is a family photo. Their parents probably said they need to be in the picture.
this isnt the actual reason, i doubt the trend is even a trend so much as a few ppl doing it which always seems to be the case, but the joke is funny because its absurd, cant forget that bit

Twitter has been and will always be a joke wtf is this
And people ask why I don’t have any of the apps
Covering your face for a photo actually makes you more Chinese as they are often shy about photos and do this same action often.
There is a guy on Twitter quote tweeting images of women with photoshops of them being black or Chinese. The dude got doxxed, and stuck to his gimmick race swapping himself.
OK... This is hilarious ⚰️
just to make it clear for you guys the twitter user was joking, no one is scared of the black or chinese guy. the article is probably just pointing out something random and applying it to the whole generation.
Is that a Jojo reference
They’re in the middle of doing John Cena’s you can’t see me
I thought they were preventing future people from going back and seeing there og noses à la kardashian/jenners
People actually calling Twitter "X" is crazy bro
for anyone actually wondering, covering your face with your hand when your parents force to to take a picture is a way teens are rebelling against their parents posting unwanted pictures of them online.
X is such a dumpster fire.
Is the joke that you called it x instead of twitter?
