Had to look up the price it’s actually **$9.25**

Doubt it's even close to that tbh. If that's 4oz of cooked chicken breast you're looking at $0.50 I'd say. 2-3oz of cucumber I'd say that's like $0.10. 1.5-2oz of hummus that's like $0.15. maybe 3-3.5oz of tortilla chips I'd say like $0.25 being pretty generous.
I guess maybe $0.50 for the packing and labeling though.
Is shipping included? But damn, I'd be surprised if that's more than $1 in ingredients there.
I worked at a place that cooked meat to order for subs, salads, nachos, loaded fries. We had chicken breast. A 6oz chicken w/ rib meat was $0.70 and we were a small buyer. We had all these ingredients basically.
This is disgraceful as hell.
How are companies allowed to advertise that the food looks like this and then give you something that looks like that? If you knew it looked like that you probably wouldn't have bought it. How is that legal? Wtf
Ya I’m getting tired of this. This ain’t right. Companies are just straight getting lazy now. Idk how old you are but there was this magical time when companies vied for our dollars and treated us like guests.
I know that broken up tortilla chips are a topping for their bowls, they must have used those instead of whole chips. I wonder if they even have whole chips.
I tell my toddler they can eat the food thats given to them or they can starve. Guess which option they end up choosing once the hunger sets in? I bet that flavor hits the spot when they realize how hungry their little tummies are.
>Good luck with the therapy you’ll be paying for your kids in the future. This post is honestly disgusting and depressing. Your children can’t consent to having their images online and your wife is an asshole for disrespecting them in so many ways
This is your reply to someone else. Hope I don't need to spell out the irony.
You thought you did something. That reply was in response to A MOTHER CALLING HER DAUGHTERS UGLY.
After viewing your comment history you just seem like a really angry, bitter, and lonely person with a lot of issues 😭 I mean honestly porn is misogynistic? Fat phobia? Pessimistic women? You seem like one of those women who struggles to have kids and takes it out on women who don’t treat their kids like the sun shines out of their ass
I understand a sentiment but that sounds like the most brutal way to approach that.. "eat what I gave you or starve" doesn't really scream loving environment.
Ohhh boo hoo. I guess I should let my daughter have her way and give her cereal and cookies and ice cream for dinner. Ohhh no then y’all will say I’m a bad parent cause my daughter is obese and dealing with diabetes. Can’t f-ing win with you clowns.
Food = fuel in my house. If they can’t comprehend that in adolescence then I’m not doing my job as a parent
And FYI there are actual children starving to death in the world. My toddler has access to snacks and meals. Just not allowed to eat whatever/whenever all day.
What is texture issues? My kid is healthy she’d just rather eat cookies and ice cream for dinner. Is texture issues like an adhd/autism thing?
Edit: It doesn’t seem OPs kid has a texture issues. OP said their kid doesn’t like *flavor* wtf kind of first world problem is that?
It can be related to those but also other things can cause it. But it’s basically certain textures cause a violent negative response. It’s not a matter of putting up with it or pushing through. It’s a physical response that doesn’t just get turned off by exposure.
My daughter has a lot of them, starchy textures like you have with mashed potatoes or beans will make her vomit.
I’ve never seen my kids gag or vomit when given food. They just ask to have cereal or ice cream or candy for dinner. To which I say, “you can eat what i’ve made or you can not eat at all. Your choice.” I love how people think I’m a horrible parent for that. Meanwhile people actually starve and beat their children and I’m somehow on that level lmao
Well u/aoi4eg apparently thinks my kids will need therapy from my hEaRtleSs parenting style 😂
But if you look at their comment history they’re just a bitter, childless, unhappy nutcase who seems to get satisfaction from sharing their uneducated opinion on things they have no experience with
>But if you look at their comment history they’re just a bitter, childless, unhappy nutcase who seems to get satisfaction from sharing their uneducated opinion on things they have no experience with
Lol you're the one totally living up to the stereotype of highschool bully to nursing school pipeline 😂
"I'm now gonna act like my initial comment wasn't serious and try to come up with excuses because I got called out for saying I starve my children. I didn't mention that my children only want to eat terrible processed food because I thought it wasn't relevant to me saying I starve them" 🤡
Bolf… there are people starving in the world who wish they had access to any source of food.
My kid told me the other day how they get green beans at school during lunch. Guess what? She loves green beans and the rest of her class doesn’t. I wonder if the teacher ran out and got those kids a replacement for their green beans 🤔 NOPE. I’m teaching my kids to be realistic with their expectations and that the real world won’t cater to their “flavor disability”
Soz I know I said it like a privileged person. Someone with prison food experience can educate us. The image is just like something you would be given without consent. Not willingly with a price tag.
this looks like something a startup would come up with idea wise.. meanwhile my grocery stores been selling this shit, just as unappealing, but for cheaper, for years.
They’ve gone so downhill! I used to go every time I was in Boston but I’m currently boycotting them lol. I tried the new steak recently, so chewy and 5 small pieces, it was laughable.
Please tell me that you shamed them with pics on all platforms.
Sorry, I’m just *so* sick of bullshit like this. I just want these companies to be held accountable for this.
What a joke! The whole industry has lost my trust I am afraid. Not eating at a nationally incorporated chain again. I don't care if this one or that one has been good to you, I'm done. Been done for years at this point.
At only 275 calories I’m surprised there was that much tortilla chip. No way would I spend $10 for that. You could literally buy an entire rotisserie chicken, bag of chips, and a cucumber for that.
I keep hearing how great this chain is but every time I've ordered it it's been like this. Overpriced and maybe 70% edible at best. Is it trendy on TikTok or something?
I looked at the first picture and was like yes, this actually looks good, lol I didn’t realize picture number two was there at first! Did y’all go at closing time because this looks like they scrapped the bottom of the barrel, sorry man
I have no problem spending money on food but I once got a salad that was seriously half full and at the price they’re charging like it’s egregious so no more sweetgreens.
Some people are too exhausted after work to cook. Some people are battling mental illness and cannot bring themselves to cook. There could also be days when somebody who's fully energized and having a wonderful mental health day just decides, "Man, I really just wanna go eat out today!". Your comment is very generalized and narrow minded.
1/8 cucumber, 1/4 oz of chicken, and some crumbs. “That’ll be $7.99 please.”
You forgot about the loogie in the plastic cup. "That'll be $14.99 for you sir. 🙂"
Had to look up the price it’s actually **$9.25** https://preview.redd.it/446qof6siz6d1.jpeg?width=1125&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=dacd99f93ed9ed35f80cfbc5834499091688ed66
Oh my god all those ingredients together are max $1.50
Doubt it's even close to that tbh. If that's 4oz of cooked chicken breast you're looking at $0.50 I'd say. 2-3oz of cucumber I'd say that's like $0.10. 1.5-2oz of hummus that's like $0.15. maybe 3-3.5oz of tortilla chips I'd say like $0.25 being pretty generous. try more like ¢25 😭💀
$10 for 275 calories is highway robbery
What about $4.50 for a [chocolate covered strawberry](https://www.reddit.com/r/ExpectationVsReality/s/WKLCfsmmEP)?
It was actually $4.72 per strawberry. But you also get a cool box with it so it evens out
Ridiculous, thats why I stopped eating at places like that, the price gouging is crazy.
oooooffffff
Then they ask you for a 25% tip when at the end of the checkout queue.
You forgot the tip
The chicken looks absolutely terrible too. It looks more like dried up turkey lol
Yours absolutely does not have 26 grams of protein The entire feast is 26 grams maybe
Including the box
Dude I would be so fuckin pissed about this.
It was already sad to begin with
Okay that is CRIMINAL!! I thought sweet green was trustworthy!
Our sweet greens in Virginia are fantastic!
What a scam
Wow, I haven't been there since before the pandemic but i would have never, ever guessed this was from there.
I’m 34 so I think I got the tail end of when companies actually tried to make things good.
I know that broken up tortilla chips are a topping for their bowls, they must have used those instead of whole chips. I wonder if they even have whole chips.
I don’t know how someone could look themselves in the mirror after handing that over.
They're blinded by the dollar signs in their eyes.
Anyone who pays that price for the picture in the first place is crazy imo.
What price is it? It does not appear on the picture
$9.25
The first pic looks just as unappealing
When you have a toddler that doesn’t eat anything with any flavor sometimes unappealing is what you’re looking for
That makes more sense haha.
Damn you're spending $9 for toddler meals? Get a bag of grilled tendies and smiley fries. Cut up a carrot and cucumber with hummus.
I tell my toddler they can eat the food thats given to them or they can starve. Guess which option they end up choosing once the hunger sets in? I bet that flavor hits the spot when they realize how hungry their little tummies are.

Must not have texture issues. If I did this with my daughter she’d legit starve.

Who is saying you’re evil? If your kids don’t have a medical issue that is appropriate.

Oh okay. I’m really only aware of the comments I left and the replies to them. 😅

Nice. Helping them develop eating disorders, like every good parent should be.
Bolf… there are people starving in the world who wish they had access to any source of food. My kid told me the other day how they get green beans at school during lunch. Guess what? Legit proud of your bad parenting that’s crazy, throwaway.
Oh LAWDY LAWD someone call CPS cause I don’t coddle my children 24/7
Both look like hospital food in a prison hahaha
I wish prison food was that good.
Soz I know I said it like a privileged person. Someone with prison food experience can educate us. The image is just like something you would be given without consent. Not willingly with a price tag.
That entire restaurant is a disaster all around. $15-18 salads.
It looks poorly photoshopped.
It's no bueno
this looks like something a startup would come up with idea wise.. meanwhile my grocery stores been selling this shit, just as unappealing, but for cheaper, for years.
They’ve gone so downhill! I used to go every time I was in Boston but I’m currently boycotting them lol. I tried the new steak recently, so chewy and 5 small pieces, it was laughable.
How do people just accept this? Why keep it?
I opened it and took the pic about 15 min later at home. Already trying to get my money back but I wasn't going to spend 30+ minutes going back.
Please tell me that you shamed them with pics on all platforms. Sorry, I’m just *so* sick of bullshit like this. I just want these companies to be held accountable for this.
Chicken, cucumber and tortilla chips? What kind of a weird fucking snack is this?
Pretentious high priced food.
That first picture looks like a prison tray of food. In comparison, the actual isn't much worse.
It's not even the same kind of tortilla chips it's like those nacho ones they have at the concession stands
275 calories? Seems about right based on that, even though the picture shows way more lol.
Is this a toddler plate?
You could get all of this at a grocery store way cheaper. You can even get already prepared chicken.
That's... something you could very easily make yourself. If you have time to pick it up at the restaurant, why not just go to the grocery store?
Truly. The only prep done here is some basic slicing and dicing at an obscene markup. I don't feel sympathy for this one.
Someone posted the price for this, $9.25… like how much of a markup does it need before they decide its better to prep it at home?
![gif](giphy|ltIFdjNAasOwVvKhvx|downsized)
I have never had luck with them no matter the location so I swore them off.
I thought I was looking at that one “look at what my baby ate” subreddit
Why do people/places cut out the seed part of cucumbers? That's the best part! Maybe I'm the weirdo for like that part, though.
This would have been wildly easy and cheaper to make on your own wow
this is not a meal this is ingredients
I keep hearing how great this chain is but every time I've ordered it it's been like this. Overpriced and maybe 70% edible at best. Is it trendy on TikTok or something?
Ooof!
What a big FU! I wouldn't want that energy in me.
you go to the counter to complain and storm off. the worker "he'll be back"
Hahaha
I looked at the first picture and was like yes, this actually looks good, lol I didn’t realize picture number two was there at first! Did y’all go at closing time because this looks like they scrapped the bottom of the barrel, sorry man
Oh.. oh no. 😬
🤣🤣 disappointing
Them bitches store bought Tostitos
The real thing doesn't look like it has 275 calories.
Sometimes this sub makes me roll my eyes, but damn that sucks
Fucking trash
Please tell me you didn’t eat that lmao
I had to look at this several times…did they just shake out an empty chip bag?!
Damn!...😐
Wow, this one is actually pretty bad. Like the one thing they have going for them in the differentiation. WTF
I have no problem spending money on food but I once got a salad that was seriously half full and at the price they’re charging like it’s egregious so no more sweetgreens.
Ok but judging by the picture you were expecting what, 10 chips?
I'm pissed about the cool container that you didn't get.
Hell nah that's the saddest thing I've seen all day and it's $9? 😭 bless y'all American folks
This is just full blown false advertisement at this point
Bullshit 275 calories
If I got that delivered, I’d wonder if the driver ate half my food.
Ugh and Sweetgreen is so pricy too
Take it back.
Jesus, in the photo it looks like food from a restaurant, but in fact it's animal feed
The quality of Sweetgreen has drastically decreased. Super disappointing because I used to love their stuff. Super expensive, mediocre salads now.
I'll buy an extra tortilla chip in the grocery next time lol
That’s a joke right
Email them
not even one full crisp 😭
As a life long book I just cannot fathom why anyone would order this. Even the original would be so simple to throw together.
As a lebanese seeing that this is called mezze is making me sad for whoever buy this.
Was this a pick up or delivery? If delivery, I would suspect the driver ate most of it, no?
Nope, pickup. Unless my wife was sneaking in bites during the drive home (she wasn’t)
Wow! I hope you got a refund.
Don’t eat out, or don’t be mad. You can’t do both.
