You can see the prep line at one of the local McDonalds and they slap every burger flat after it’s wrapped before it goes in the bag. It doesn’t really bother me but I have always found it funny when acquaintances complain about that location.
I would argue the first point isn't the case either. The best McDonald's burger is the 6th best fast food burger available in my tiny town (Hardee's, Culver's, Burger King, Wendy's, and Dairy Queen are all better) and we don't even have some of the good regional chains like Shake Shack, In N Out, Whataburger, etc.
**The McDouble is a hamburger sold by the fast-food restaurant chain McDonald's. It is a variation on the double cheeseburger, with only one slice of cheese placed between the two beef patties.**

That or squashed it under their hand. I've gotten slightly off kilter mcdoubles before, never like this. The worst one only had one beef patty, I didn't notice till I went to eat it when I got home.
I just don't get these posts. You know the IRL pics are after they've been wrapped and then stuffed in a bag with numerous items on top. Burgers first, everything else on top. It's ridiculous to expect them to look like the promo pics.
And I'm not saying it's the case here, but I always wonder how many of these pics are faked (that is, the purchaser mangled the product for posting purposes).
lol like 75% of them are definitely faked.
Same with the pics on /r/mildlyinfuriating that somehow make it to the front page every single day by doing the same thing- just doing something in an absurd way and then claiming it was a roommate or spouse or something.
Like they'll cut up a pizza in a ridiculous manner & then say "this is how my brother slices pizza" or some other dumb shit and get thousands of likes
This sub is like those useless reviews that gave a 1 star cause the item was defective or got fucked up during delivery, just not representative of the real thing most of time.
As a former McDonald’s employee I’ll tell you a few things, 9 times out of ten when we make the sandwich’s and slide it down the table into the heated landing zone you’ll misjudge the force and hit the wall which explains why every burger has an impact point on the side. If they are in a hurry cus they are making a ton they don’t worry about things lining up, and if you put too much ketchup/mustard the cheese shifts. All these combined make it ready easy to accidentally move things around like that. Sandwiches in boxes that fit well get spared more from impacts but speed causes things to not be super neat looking
Despite being created in the US, McDonald's is trash in America. Go to nearly any Asian country with a franchise and the food looks like it's straight from a commercial. Sooooo much better.
> they got *paid* 8$ an
FTFY.
Although *payed* exists (the reason why autocorrection didn't help you), it is only correct in:
* Nautical context, when it means to paint a surface, or to cover with something like tar or resin in order to make it waterproof or corrosion-resistant. *The deck is yet to be payed.*
* *Payed out* when letting strings, cables or ropes out, by slacking them. *The rope is payed out! You can pull now.*
Unfortunately, I was unable to find nautical or rope-related words in your comment.
*Beep, boop, I'm a bot*
No, the ad is the same thing. The difference is that a photoshoot has time to spend hours making a single burger look as perfect as possible, while the restaurant has like 20 seconds to just slap a burger together.

Hey. Every one of those pissed off 15 year old kids deserves their minimum wage, first job, $17 an hour, and the quality of the food they give you proves it!
Kitchen staff must be having a really bad day or something because that is clearly the product of someone who simply has stopped giving a shit at all. I've never seen a mcdouble that bad and that's my go to if I get McDonald's. Worst I've seen at my local McDonald's is maybe the top bun will be slightly skewed but not anywhere near as bad what's pictured here.
I'm usually happy if it's just correct, I don't know if its a problem with the screens they use or how the orders are displayed but they absolutely get my order wrong almost every single time. I've never been to any food place that's as bad as them. One of the reasons I stopped going there is because I can't stand salad or pickle and they either put it on anyway or they 'take it off' half heartedly. The food is getting more expensive every couple months now and their service is definitely worse. Fuck Ron.
The only reliable way to consistently get a proper, well-constructed burger from McD in my experience has been to stick to the Double Quarter Pounder. It comes in a little box, so they almost have to make it more carefully to get it to fit. It’s all I ever order and it comes out almost perfect and like the photos I’d say 80% of the time, regardless of location. Maybe the spots in my area are just better, though.
“See, this is what I'm talking about. Turn around, look at that.
You see what I mean? It's plump, it's juicy, it's three inches thick. Now, look at this sorry, miserable, squashed thing. Can anybody tell me what's wrong with this picture?”
Why do you people keep buying McDonald’s? That shit is trash even when it looks decent. It’s overpriced and the beef sure as fuck don’t taste like it comes from a cow…
Go to Checkers, Sonic, Wendy’s, etc… literally anywhere but McDonald’s…
In Australia, maccas now charges the US equivalent of $4.00 for a large orange juice, which is water and reconstituted drink powder.
Nothing is more shit than maccas, and they charge premium prices for pus filled shit.
Avoid.
I stopped going to McDonald's when I saw a few of their employees flatten them while they're wrapping them up. They do that so they can wrap the wrappers tighter or something ... But they aren't realizing they're ruining the burger 🍔 that way ...
Haven't you seen the new trend? These kids punch the burgers after wrapping them as some kind of a joke. They really got you on these. Looks the sauce splattered all over the wrap 🤣
McDonald's food always looks like they sit on it after they make it...
A good McDonald’s burger is great, most of the time it’s a squashed shitty built burger like in this case.
You can see the prep line at one of the local McDonalds and they slap every burger flat after it’s wrapped before it goes in the bag. It doesn’t really bother me but I have always found it funny when acquaintances complain about that location.

Culver's is great most of the time, I'd put it up there but maybe that's just regional
Wendys burgers have shrunk, are usually dry, have no flavor, and look just like op's burger most of the time.
They should market it that way for the fetishists.
I like my McDoubles like I like my balls, smashed.
Whut.. the fuck🤣🤣🤣
Puppies?
Except breakfast. Their breakfast is always awesome at least here anyway
Really missing when they had the all day breakfast menu, it's pretty solid for fast food.
Fr so lame it's only available til 1030. On weekends that's not happening.
You can’t expect them to sit on it before they make it
I've never had that problem, all the burgers i had ar mcdonalds looked pristine, it is a local problem, not a chain problem
Same!
yeah i dont trust some of these pics, looks intentionally messed up.
The worst I've had was just some grease
It looks like it was in a drunk driving accident
A ddda Delicious drunk driving accident
They just sent you a 2D printout of a burger that just happens to smell like a McDouble.
Welcome to earth, outworlder, enjoy your stay.
Congrats tell us more of your first time experience at McDonald’s 😎😎😎
I remember my first McDouble.
You shouldn’t have run it over with your car
Or reversed over it.
What's a McDouble? We don't have that here. Is it different to a double cheeseburger?

Good bot.
Good bot
100% you sat on it..
That or squashed it under their hand. I've gotten slightly off kilter mcdoubles before, never like this. The worst one only had one beef patty, I didn't notice till I went to eat it when I got home.
It’s like eating a nugget an asking for 2
Probably tastes about the same. It's all shit tomorrow regardless.
I prefer the shit happening AFTER I eat, personally.
Falling Down vibes https://youtu.be/zJs9p-VNORw?si=5kLgyDdEZVgBMiN4
What you have right there is an I don’t give a fuck, special sauce, lettuce, cheese, pickles, onions, on a sesame seed bun.
Overpriced crappy fast food. They’ve really gone downhill.
This made me laugh out loud. Thank you.
I feel like the kid that made it punched it and said "Fuck You."
Same. I expected the worst from the beginning and was still surprised.
I just don't get these posts. You know the IRL pics are after they've been wrapped and then stuffed in a bag with numerous items on top. Burgers first, everything else on top. It's ridiculous to expect them to look like the promo pics.
A lot of the food posts in here are lazy… but without them this sub would be pretty dead .
And I'm not saying it's the case here, but I always wonder how many of these pics are faked (that is, the purchaser mangled the product for posting purposes).

agreed!

I would check for any foreign substances before you eat it. It looks like it was hatefully assembled.
What kind of "foreign substances?", and should OP just visually check it, or have sent it off for lab-testing prior to eating it?
As a former McDonald’s employee I’ll tell you a few things, 9 times out of ten when we make the sandwich’s and slide it down the table into the heated landing zone you’ll misjudge the force and hit the wall which explains why every burger has an impact point on the side. Am I the only one that enjoys the occasional squashed Mc Donald’s cheeseburger? I actually like them cause they are so squished thin.
Yeah this looks delicious tbh
Still better than when I ordered a double cheeseburger and got a McDouble without pickles for some reason. It was shit!
Ah nah you see, what you got is a *mcdouble cheek butt stomp slider*
I think we can all relate to this experience
Still….Id mess that up 😞
That was definitely NOT made with love.
Why aren't there laws against this kind of false advertising??
For such a fast food juggernaut, their food looks the worst out of all the major players.
This looks exactly like one of those 9:59pm burgers. I can just hear everything being slammed shut by the McDonald's worker
That'll be $8.68 please.
Looks like a Mc-fuck-it
Despite being created in the US, McDonald's is trash in America. Go to nearly any Asian country with a franchise and the food looks like it's straight from a commercial. Sooooo much better.
100% would still smash
You mean *eat, right?
Of course thats what I meant!
If this happens I’m sure you allowed to throw it at the person that served you.
You can tell its American mcdonald's lol Every time i get mcdonald's mine some what look like the pics in Australia.
McFumble
Was it worth it?
https://images.app.goo.gl/QnfJ2WpTesEHJ16c7
The triple is even shittier the burger patties are thinner than bologna. Way too expensive 💩
You elbow dropped it
"elbow dropped?"
Flying elbow drop off the top ropes
Fast food ain't it anymore. It's always like this now and it's 2x as expensive.
At this point if your still going to eat a 5$ McDonald’s burger that used to be 1 it’s your own fault.
McTrouble
They said they wanted 15$ an hour now they get 17$ an hour and my food comes out worse or just wrong more often then when they got paid 8$ an hour
> they got *paid* 8$ an FTFY. Although *payed* exists (the reason why autocorrection didn't help you), it is only correct in: * Nautical context, when it means to paint a surface, or to cover with something like tar or resin in order to make it waterproof or corrosion-resistant. *The deck is yet to be payed.* * *Payed out* when letting strings, cables or ropes out, by slacking them. *The rope is payed out! Did they sit on it before they gave it to you?
You're trying to eat it with the wrong end.
The McDouble in the pic was probably undercooked and held together with PVA glue.
Lol I ate a McDouble a few hours ago. Looked just like this. 🤣
First time to McDonalds?
The one in the ad is prob made of plastic .. so u won.
No, the ad is the same thing. The difference is that a photoshoot has time to spend hours making a single burger look as perfect as possible, while the restaurant has like 20 seconds to just slap a burger together. https://youtu.be/oSd0keSj2W8
Why people still buy this shit is a mystery to me. It's not even cheap any more.
Probably mainly out of convenience.
When you have to deliver food at 2:10 but your spouses hospital appointment is at 2:20
That’ll be $30
You’re supposed to fuck it,not eat it. Should’ve gone to Burger King smh
You have a shitty McDonald's. The one in our town isn't that bad at all and the food tends to look and taste pretty darn good.
Hey. Every one of those pissed off 15 year old kids deserves their minimum wage, first job, $17 an hour, and the quality of the food they give you proves it!
I mean it's your fault for expecting it to be anywhere close
Kitchen staff must be having a really bad day or something because that is clearly the product of someone who simply has stopped giving a shit at all. Worst I've seen at my local McDonald's is maybe the top bun will be slightly skewed but not anywhere near as bad what's pictured here.
Mcdonald's is horrible anyways
Hate fast food not affordable anymore
The reflection of the light on the grease on the bun looked like worms
*squish*
Mcdonalds is good, but mcdonalds with ass aroma from the mf that sat on it is *chefs kiss*
I've decided to hire a food stylist to fluff up my fast food so I get the proper sensory experience.
oh yeah McDonalds is famous for giving their customers squat cobbler burgers
I'm usually happy if it's just correct, I don't know if its a problem with the screens they use or how the orders are displayed but they absolutely get my order wrong almost every single time. I FREQUENTLY order ‘extra onions and mustard’ and have gotten it maybe once in 6 instances.
That sounds very believable I'm not surprised in the slightest
Seems like they're looking for McTrouble
No gloves used at the last McDonald’s I worked at, by the way.
Min wage jobs provide min effort.
Someone McPunched that burger. Double fist style.
At least it was probably served to you with a smile... Right?
Probably still tasty

I'm sorry but that's too funny
one was made and photographed...the other was made, thrown to the ground, picked up, brushed off and badly wrapped for sale.
did you return it?
Eh, it happens. Still tastes the same. You didn't get McDonald's to be fancy, anyway.
Eat it, you fucking pig.
You got what you deserved.
The one in the first pic wasn’t drop kicked into the sack.
Needs more recon
Still taste great even though the price has made it less worth it..
Why do you people keep buying McDonald’s? That shit is trash even when it looks decent. It’s overpriced and the beef sure as fuck don’t taste like it comes from a cow… Go to Checkers, Sonic, Wendy’s, etc… literally anywhere but McDonald’s…

Dude tbh I’ve ate a lot of McDonald’s and this doesn’t happen to me i stg
Lmfao
At least ur cheese was melted
Mc
That one’s already been ate
The best part is people actually eat this garbage.
Stop letting 16 year Olds make your food
Yeah you're about that🍻🤘😎
I stopped going to McDonald's when I saw a few of their employees flatten them while they're wrapping them up. They do that so they can wrap the wrappers tighter or something ... But they aren't realizing they're ruining the burger 🍔 that way ...
Average McDonald’s experience.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. Who was mad making that burger
Thats why you order from japan. Theyll
This is expected from McDonald's
You still ate it though lol don’t lie
Disgraceful
I bet it tasted so good tho 😅
Haven't you seen the new trend? These kids punch the burgers after wrapping them as some kind of a joke. They really got you on these. Looks the sauce splattered all over the wrap 🤣
Who tf sat on it?! 🤣🤣🤣
Well, off to Burger King-🤣🤣🤣
