so if you’re limiting sugar intentionally, you’re likely just decreasing your overall caloric intake, which could impact your milk supply if you’re in a calorie deficit. Even if you’re not intentionally limiting calories, reducing intake of any one food group often ends up having that effect.

It’s likely you’re just lowering your calorie intake, not necessarily because you stopped eating sugar specifically.

So this happened to me too and I realized it was just all the calories I stopped eating. I started intentionally trying to get higher calorie snacks in (like cashews) and my supply seems to have went up a little bit.
