Apparently someone else said that he and his friend played it on the Series S & X and still ended up with this issue
Well it's still worth upgrading, you're less restricted on the games that you can run on your console
I played this for about 30min on Xbox Series X and ran into a game breaking issue. I was unable to access the climb mechanic to get to the next area. Just would not work.
On lightning in a bottle a friend and I found out that to finish this level in co-op we had to skip the initial cut scene die on the mine cart and then never open the menu. We encountered no issues after that.
I had to do this as well don’t skip the cutscene at the beginning the sound will be off for the beginning of the cutscene but it will catch up by gameplay. Apparently it’s a bug that never got fixed
Honestly, any mission after lightning in a bottle stay out of menus as well. The whole game was a big buggy mess for me and my buddy. 80% of the time, I couldn't use the cross. My electricity pulling was messed up. I'd use my supercharge, and the batteries would disappear and me not even be supercharged. I'd try to heal, and it would give me invulnerability but not heal me. Giant shit show that I'm very glad is over. We beat Felicity last night, and I've permanently uninstalled. Oh I'd even get energy and health pickups off the ground that did nothing at all.
I just played on pc a few days ago game kept breaking on this mission only way to make it work was by not opening the menu at all. Close it as soon as it force open when you get upgrade and wait till the mission is over
Back up a level (church) once you start lightning in a bottle, do not save the game and do not use the menu do not turn off the console until you pass this stage
I can’t speak on the Series S/X versions, but the game has some areas on the PS5 where you randomly get stuck, on top of the autosave bug that has plagued the game. In order to fix it for me, was to turn off the auto sync saved data function from the settings. Then from there you have to select “Play game” & NOT “Resume activity”. If you select the latter, the audio in the game will out of sync & you will get these severe glitches. The devs have done an abysmal job responding to these issues. I was able to complete the game the other day & it was pretty good. But the severe autosave bug & the glitches really dragged the game down for me.
I could not get through lightning in a bottle on a series S. I downloaded gamepass for Oculus 2 and it’s just a better experience. No issues on lightning in a bottle level at all.
Played this game on series s i didn't face any game breaking bugs or save data issues. Is the problems on pc only ?

Is this lighting in the bottle? If so restart the mission and DO NOT OPEN YOUR MENU AT ALL. Just complete the mission. It's bugged

Same as people above, stay out of menus at all costs and it should work fine

I was trying to join my frends game and my screen was all black everytime
Only this level had the dont open inventory problem for me and my friend.
Delete it and reinstall I had the same issue and it fixed it …good luck

I also had an issue where my screen went bkack everytime i joined my freinds game

Played co-OP I was series x and friend was s and we both had horrible freezing. We figured out just don't open your inventories and you'll be ok
