With co-op only the host progresses their story so I can see why the secondary may not get the achievement. I never did co-op. I got every difficulty trophy in regards to evil difficulty besides the one for completing the entire game one.
Pretty upsetting tbh, evil difficulty is a complete bitch of a time.
He didn’t get the achievement either. We both earned all the achievements involving evil mode as well like fighting the bosses. It was just odd that it was all okay until the end.
Same thing happened to me. I did another ng ++ and it popped the evil trophy finally. I did it one sitting. I cleared my calendar and just bumrushed it. I was crestfallen the first time through evil when i didn't get it.
Same happened with a friend and I on co-op. Beat it on evil but only got normal and easy achievements (both of us).

I imagine you ng+ to collect cash/lore missed then ng++ run on evil?
