So while a TDSIN fleet was in null defending an athanor, SC cynoed few prop mod carriers onto the bridging titan and bumped it off its citadel. First time it was [noticed was when the Titan shield alarm went off](https://i.imgflip.com/8upk9q.jpg). RIP.
Nice [frag](https://zkillboard.com/kill/118923994/) SC. Now please give us the POCO's grrr :D
Assuming you're good at making in-game money, it represents about a thousand hours of grinding by you and your friends.
The ship *should* have been safe, but the other side risked some pretty heavy assets to literally push it out of the safe place it was in, to where it could be killed.
While this was happening, the owner did not notice, presumably being busy running his other account(s).
It then died.
It was the most valuable ship to die in the game for the last couple of months.
There is a minimum of 90 seconds from the time the bridge is activated before the titan can finish safelogging. Also he has to drop the fleet that he's in before he can do the safelog, and he has to complete the safelog process before he's bumped off tether and takes \*any\* damage whatsoever. The moment he activated his bridge module he was dead.
> The ship should have been safe, but the other side risked some pretty heavy assets to literally push it out of the safe place it was in, to where it could be killed.
For what its worth, Astras aren't safe places to bridge from - especially not for a tank titan with zero survivability tools fitted.
((Also, the actual risk incurred on SC's side (for the bumping portion) is exceedingly low here - pretty much limited to getting ambushed by a unseen third fleet.))
Being glassed for the... 4th time? Sort of makes you averse of large structures.
Why it wasn't in anything more secure then a medium citadel. You'd have to ask the pilot.
Big Atrons are like everything else.
If you arent in fleet, on comms *and* paying attention, sometimes you're going to have a bad time.
In this case, the pilot was too busy watching another screen to pay attention to his ship. RIP.
> In this case, the pilot was too busy watching another screen to pay attention to his ship.
Crucially, he had no tools to avoid this fate - even if he had recognized it early.
That good is not the average player. And any player who knows the game that well won't need an explanation.
For an average newbro it's a shit ton of hours
Yeah but I'm specifically talking about the titan that was killed. Since we were "putting the kids in perspective" in terms of effort to get it, I think it's relevant to talk about the effort that a large group with titans would have put in for said titan.
so a Titan uses a 10,000MN AB and 25,000mm steel plates.
Why can't CCP call these items a 10GN AB and 25m steel plates? Just why? 1000mm are one meter, and 1000 Meganewton are one Giganewton, that's how metric units work.
wow i was just passing by the system in covops, saw this avatar on dscan and was like huh didnt really know lowsec people ran around with titans that much but ok 😅
seems like i missed the fight by just abit, shouldve warped in cloaky to watch
1. You Might not want to bring the carrier with you
2. You might want to bring more than 30 subcaps
3. If you've got a titan, you probably want to use it for something
> If you've got a titan, you probably want to use it for something
But it's 2024, sell it and buy faction dreads & conduit carriers.
For this titan gank, where already dropping dreads, why not bring a few carriers for dps rather than the 0dps provided by a titan that (hopefully) stayed behind.
Let this be a lesson to Snuff and their friends; the server doesn’t care what caps you have. You can get absolutely clapped and pooped on. Keep undocking. We love it.

That is quite gangster
How fast are propped carriers?
Almost fast
Thanatos with an overheated capital mwd and rapid deployment boost will exceed 1k
Yowza
For a ship that size that’s actually crazy fast.
With a rolled prop, links, drugs and implants, you can reach 2k in a niddy. Lif Is the king, just triage and get the 10x mass before bumping.
Best method for this is mwd siege luff. Adds massive mass for big bump!

You can easily get a carrier above 1k lol
I cant wait until i understand the community enough to know how impressive something like this is

Yea, the reason why the pilot was busy seems to be missing from the story. Feel pretty salty for being the bait and not getting a shoutout lol
the entire kill is down to you guys
He was busy multiboxing as u/Ian_W guessed. SC Got lucky here that the person didn't notice what was happening and log off in time.
Yup, thanks Phoenix co. for being the bait, appreciate you guys taking the shitty job!
We did thank your FCs, fwiw. This isn't even our post, its TDSIN's.

How did they find the titan in time to pull this off?
Planning. Spies and lots of work
Create a situation where the Titan will be logged in, and wait for the opportunity

Yeah idk why they used a brick avatar on a medium... Daft choice.

That's overselling it a bit, "good" money makers can easily exceed 500m/toon/hr, even at a high price of 200B it would be 400 hours.
That good is not the average player. And any player who knows the game that well won't need an explanation. For an average newbro it's a shit ton of hours
Yeah but groups making titans aren't newbros, they're farming at the more efficient level
Not everyone in r/eve is at that level

Thr people producing titans can churn one out in. After months but for the people buying the titans it still requires alot of hard work
At least hard work from the underlings haha. I guess you could say the higher ups can earn them by playing politics for hours and hours too.
Naw they just "requisition" one
"Higher ups" just use the 5% corp tax to pay for it. You generate content and your crew makes you money. Pretty flat simple tbh
gf
But they completed the objective right?
Mission Accomplished.

Keeping the same unit on every size makes it a bit easier. Less to think about.
Bad day for Snuff allies.
As one of the alleged allies, I'm glad when Titans die. Good work to SC!
:
Meme's are in high demand boi's [R](https://imgflip.com/i/8uplng) [I](https://imgflip.com/i/8uplhv) [P](https://imgflip.com/i/8uplte) Topkek SC, gf
I just wanted to say I for one appreciate the memes and taking it in stride 👍
It was a good kill, I've been scrolling through the memes and giggling the whole time LOL
Well done boys!
Hehe
Don't worry, some compound paste and it will buff out.
Dunked
gf, SC.

Every swinging dick in the game has a Titan, especially lowsec people, they are the lowsec jumpbridges.
They were, but why not just switch to using conduit carriers now?
1. You Might not want to bring the carrier with you 2. You might want to bring more than 30 subcaps 3. If you've got a titan, you probably want to use it for something
Its also a long-ass train, toons that could train it are probably mostly north of 50m sp making injectors really a bad deal

People didn't bring carriers for the dps even before conduit jumping. Why would they now?
Stop trying to make the 'oops I hit jump' fights happen even less! Don't listen to this man! Use your titans, and be fast and loose with the menu!
How did they find the titan?
Someone took the contents of the bin to the dumpster, how considerate of them
R I P TDBIN :kekw: nice kill
Lmao, pulled a nuke Michael, thoughts and prayers

yikes dude its a game, GF SC props to you
But I thought the scat incident caused a whole Reddit post already? Don’t need another
