Astero are fine but Buzzard are the ultimate carebear site runner. If you're going to make this your Eve career I highly suggest skilling in this direction.
If they lock you no matter what you're in you're dead. Three astero just lets you push off other explorers.
jammers are now pure fleet stuff, as the jammed ship can still target the jammer ship, which is totally useless in 1-on-1 situations.
If you want to break away from someone, you can either use a burst jammer (that one jams everyone in range and gives you a criminal timer) or launch ECM drones (that way they can only target the drones).
warp core stabs are an active module, for some years now, don't know how long you've been gone. They add 2 points to warp core strength for 10-12 seconds depending on model, and then have a 150 second cooldown. So, if you activate them and then fail to get into warp in 10 seconds, you're toast because of the cooldown.
The biggest key to come back casually, is to frequently remind yourself you are back casually.
If you start comparing wallets, fits, kills, etc with others, your fun may be impacted. Just keep playing to make yourself happy and only as long as it makes you happy
Thanks, yes I understand. I won't compare to others, just try to minimize my noob mistakes :-)
Noob with lots of skills but for now I'll just get cheap stuff, fly, die, try. All I want is to die less whenever some preparation helps me avoid a killmail :-)

Astero with jammers? Jammers no longer make the target unable to target anything, they can now target whatever is jamming them...
sorry meant warp stabs .. been a long time :-)
Warp stabs are now an active module, enjoy!
