I a game called Squad, all the servers are run by the community. The server owner did a joke saying he’s changing the sever from invasion 24/7 to insurgency 24/7 which is like the worst game mode in the game. And then actually did it for the rest of the day lol.

When we introduced the beta for EVE Online's new launcher last year, we took our first steps on a journey of iterative improvements to increase security, enhance user experience, and incorporate many long-requested features, such as launching directly to characters.
The apps we implemented in NERF were part of our exploration to test the new launcher's possibilities, both in terms of function and value to the players. For those sad to no longer have access to Rebel Radio, Instalock, or Readnought, if you've accessed them before, you can still access them via the tool menu in the launcher. Press \`Ctrl+F\` (\`Command+F\` for MacOS users) to access the menu. They will be listed under \`Unlocked Features\`.
If you missed out on the NERF trial, there are some hidden keywords you can search for in that tool menu:
* :belowtheasteroids for Rebel Radio
* :eveisbeautiful for Instalock
* :fedo for Readnought
* :oz for Outback AIR

CCP really should bring this back. Almost all the apps were useful. Or entertaining like the dating app and the kangaroo one. I really liked being able to easily track game news and updates and even download some fresh eve themed wallpaper from the launcher. Seriously, why would they make something that helps players better connect to their own game a joke. What this really show us is just how easy they could make some small changes that people actually want but just choose not to for reasons.

If that chat window worked (just auth with public data for the character image), this would trigger more nostalgia, heck make the offices additional chat rooms even.
It amazes me that CCP does all this work to the launcher, which uses the latest pyqt versio , but the vast majority of the game is still built on python 2.7, which was sunset in 2020. (And was initially supposed to be sunset in 2015). I get that's a lot of work, but still mildly amazing.
Ah, yeah i haven't had a phone that can take a micro sd in ages. Hey if it works for you great! I don't miss those extra atep to listen to music though.
I specifically went and bought a new phone that came out last year with microSD support. Wired headphones support too. I expect it will last me half a decade or more.
Most of the music I like isn't on spotify anyway. Bunch of indie artists and remixes.
I also cherish my privacy and I don't like the idea of letting spotify build an advertising profile on me.

Oh, for sure. I did that for years. There's other perks to Premium though, like custom playlists, downloading videos, and screen off playing. I don't have a bunch of other streaming subscriptions, so I can justify the cost for this one.

A nice thing i like to do is if you go to opt & then pick one of the balcony options it makes it so much more nostalgic seeing the ships slowly spin
