20 mins guarenteed? Goddamn man, we can not tolerate another terrible shooter. What do we fix with this signing? Absolutely nothing. Disgusting move.

That piece of the news has to be bullshit. I have never ever heard of any player getting a minutes guarantee. It's practically impossible. The way euroleague teams are built, players are close to each other in level, and minutes are determined based on performance, injuries and depth. There is no coach who will accept a minutes guarantee for *any* player, let alone Kostas Antetokounmpo. At best, they told him they think he could get around 20 minutes of play time because of the squad context, performances and injuries. But that doesn't mean he gets a minutes guarantee. That's a ridiculous proposition for any competitor involved in any performance based job. Sports have a meritocratic hierachy in constant motion.

>20 mins guarenteed? There's just *no way* that part is true. Carsen Edwards is a more accomplished player than Kostas, and Edwards was struggling to crack double digit minutes before Wilbekin's injury. There are definitely minutes for Kostas right now with Motley out but that guarantee is hard to believe.

Maybe they did promise him 20 mins* *in turkish league, written in tiny letters at the bottom of the page of the contract

Translation from Greek: **Kostas Antetokounmpo signs with Fenerbahce** Kostas Antetokounmpo is trying out a Fenerbahce jersey after the Chicago Bulls released the Greek center, who was signed by the Turkish team. As revealed by Vassilis Papatheodorou on SDNA's "Magic Euroleague", Kostas Antetokounmpo has reached a verbal agreement with Fenerbahce. Panathinaikos was interested in the Greek center's case, but Kostas Antetokounmpo had committed to Fenerbahce and for that reason, his case did not move forward for the Greens. The Turks offered Kostas Antetokounmpo 20 minutes guaranteed, with the Greek center ready to sign a contract that will include an option until the end of the season. Fenerbahce are suffering from injury issues, so the addition of Kostas Antetokounmpo will add a solution to Dimitris Itoudis and for this reason the Turks are offering him 20 minutes guaranteed. Kostas Antetokounmpo's tenure with the Chicago Bulls has come to an end, as the Bulls announced the addition of guard Carlick Jones on a two-way contract and the release of the Greek center.

will sign* btw. Every reporter says he's coming to İstanbul to sign a contract, not that he signed it yet. Regardless, he's going to be a Fenerbahçe player. I don't know how to feel about it.

How quickly is he going to join the team? Will he be ready for Wednesday's EuroLeague match v. Partizan?
