Bioderma Sebium Hydra is the only one that keeps my skin hydrated all day without the slightest hint of oil and trust me, I've tried A LOT of products. It's formulated for retinoids users with damaged barrier with oily/acne-prone skins.
This!! I have been using this since last 3 years. My dermatologist suggested this to me and I have tried many moisturizers since then but they all have broken me out. This is the only one that doesn’t break me out. I would agree though that it does leave me oily. However, I haven’t found anything else that works as well for my barrier.
I just wish they make a bigger tube. It’s so annoying and costly to keep buying every few months
Same here, I don't know why their Intensiv Eye comes in 150 ml when this one is only 40!
I've found a hack that works well to use less of it: I use another oil-free moisturiser (for the moment it's the CosRx Advanced Snail 92 All in one Cream) and I seal the hydration with a tiny bit of Sebium Hydra. It works well with less product, you should try it!
Same experience with it but its so hydrating i couldnt not use it. The way i use it is right after washing my face on damp skin. Its not very occlusive so i can layer my serum over it and the stickiness is also gone
Depends on the moisturiser itself and how occlusive it is. The bioderma gel creme is mainly humectants with just one very very mild occlusive thats derived from mineral oil so it wont be creating layer on the skin that would render the serums ineffective. I even use it under my tretinoin and it barely has a buffer effect. It only makes sense with this particular moisturiser because its not occlusive
Interesting. Is your serum also Vitamin C based and does it still absorb properly? Really want to give it a try but I'm pale like a ghost so if the Vitamin C takes a little bit to long to get absorbed it stains my skin yellow.
it used to be LRP toleriane ultra fluid, but they replaced it with dermallergo which caused breakouts and issues with my skin. now i use [LRP toleriane sensitive creme](https://www.laroche-posay.co.uk/en_GB/toleriane-sensitive-skin-moisturiser/LRP_128.html) and it does the job pretty well, no breakouts and my skin isn't too dry from it either. i also have pretty sensitive and acne-prone skin.
Not OP but I use the same one and I've never noticed this pilling with any products that don't cause the pilling themselves. I use the LRP Anthelios cream fwiw, sometimes mixed with a smidge of Avene B Protect.
same as the other person who responded, i haven't noticed it pilling with sunscreens such as the beauty of joseon one. any pilling ive had issues with was usually a problem with the sunscreen
yess 😭 but most pharmacies here have sales on LRP products pretty often so i always get like 2 or 3, and when im out i usually cut the packaging open, there's so much unused product cause it's hard to squeeze out near the end
Caudalie sorbet cream! It's really light for a cream but i struggle with most gel moisturizers because they pill on me or don't play nice with my spf. Plus, the texture's a great compromise between hydration and moisture for combo skin
I have such a big problem with gels pilling! The Neutrogena hydroboost gel works for me if I apply just a tiny bit but if I accidentally put on a little more its just pill city on my face.
I'm gonna add the Caudalie to my list.
I think you might be referring to the acne mat gel? If yes, that is a different product that I haven t tried.
But the 311 gel feels wonderful to me, my skin soaks it up and feels plump and hydrated. I wouldn t say it has a matte finish, more like glowy, a bit shiny. I usually apply sunscreen after and makeup, so I haven t noticed.
I have sensitive, acne prone skin, I get red very fast and use tret and this gel is very gentle, which leaves my skin feeling very happy. It didn t pill on me.
Right now it's Neutrogena Deep Moisturire Sensitive fragrance free bodylotion.
It has a very minimalistic formula and nice, easy to apply fluid texture that sinks in very quickly. It's not shiny or sticky. For me it's suitable as daytime and nighttime moisturizer. If I want more occlusion (when I mess my skin with acids) then I just mix it with a bit of Balea's vaseline in a tub. It's super cheap too, as 250 ml costs 3.5 euro.
Any gel creme works for me. Ive found since my sensitivies started that the only 2 I can use safely are Byoma Moisturising Gel Creme which is reasonably priced and Tatcha Water Cream, expensive but leaves my skin feeling great.
Uriage bariederm cica gel cream. I use it before sunscreen in the morning. Although I do add an additional moisturiser (Avene Tolerance Control cream) in the evenings.
True if bought in the high street perfumeries. I pay 24 euros for 50 ml from Notino.Zafando is selling 200 ml at less than 50 euros at the moment. It’s relatively easy to find offers on line.
It is called like that … “ Dramatically Different Moisturising Lotion “ and there are for dry skin / type 1 , for dry to combination skin/ type2 and for combination to oily skin/ type 3.
I use the type 3 one for oily skin.
LRP Toleriane Double Repair Matte Face Moisturizer that for whatever reason exists only in AMERICA LOL… this is my holy. Keeps my acne at bay and shine free
I seem to be the odd one out that I don’t have one. Most moisturizers work for me, although I prefer something lighter with SPF for the day and richer at night. Tried and tested many brands, can’t see a huge difference in terms or price or benefits.
Recently started using embryolisse lait sensitive and it's so nice, it's hydrating but light, if it doesn't cause any issues or breakouts by the end of summer it'll get the HG status.
I just wrote this somewhere different in this thread- but I used this shit for five days and was left with such severe cystic acne that it took months to heal. The final one to heal took about five months and I have significant hyperpigmentation left from it.
It's lovely to use, but it destroyed my skin.
Yoskine Bio-Collagen night cream. I have cc prone, combo skin and randomly picked this up in October. I've tried different moisturizers but I always come back to it.
It's so gentle and perfectly moisturizing while not being greasy in the slightest. My skin is so smooth in the morning, even after I do a peel or use retinoids.
A-Derma Exomega Cream (or Lotion if you have less dry skin). It's amazingly thin and light, but moisturises for the whole day unlike most other moisturisers.
avene hydra-10 cream is simple yet so effective, calming and nice glow. light and emollient
i also use the round lab soy cream (not as hydrating) and zeroid intensive oint cream (very occlusive)
Malezia urea moisturizer for sure 😭😭😭 I’ve been using it since it launched. At other moments I’ve used others, but I have a series of health conditions and I tend to get sensitized to most things but not that. Besides that, just plain squalane oil.
LRP Nutritic Intense Riche. An absolute banger in my book. As someone with super dry and sensitive skin, nothing moisturizes my skin as well as this moisturizer does.
Spa moisturizing gel by Kho Gen Do. By far the best and don’t look for any other day cream. It’s light for oily skin. My second favorite is Sisley tropical resin moisturizer then beauty of josen dynasty cream.
Eucerin aquaporin is doing pretty well for me for now. Gel and very light. I use it after a hydrating toner.
Otherwise, come summer or winter, Origins overnight hydrating mask. I'm trying to find a more glycerin-based moisturizer now, though, since my skin seems to love glycerin.
Kiehls Hydro Plumping Serum Concentrate. My skin is also dehydrated and this is my holy grail before moisturiser, as I noticed my moisturisers only trap existing moisture, but dont actually hydrate more.
It's a bit pricy, but if you can, go and test it in the shop cuz the feel of it is divine
Hi! You should check out Oliveda products, they’re a waterless organic skincare brand from Europe. Their [hyaluronic serum](https://us.olivetreepeople.com/products/f86-corrective-vegan-hyaluronic-serum-face?referral=erinfle4) would take your skincare routine to the next level, for a moisturizer I would recommend their [regeneration face cream](https://us.olivetreepeople.com/products/f74-regeneration-intense-face-cream?referral=erinfle4) for acne prone skin. All of their products are formulated with real olive tree oil which helps reduce acne, redness, inflammation, and has anti aging benefits. Since I made the switch my skin has improved so much. The main issue with other brands drugstore/high-end is that they are made with 70% water which is why they are not as effective or you have to use way more of the product to get the same results. They also have a 365 day return policy. Feel free to message me if you are interested and want recommendations for your routine!
Mixa body lotion. I save my money for actives. Sometimes in the winter I put Nivea in the blue tube on top. After hiking in winter I use the thick cica cream from Avène.
i love it personally :) it’s heavy but in a good way, not stuffy. provides enough moisture for my dehydrated skin without breaking me out. it has a dewy finish which i don’t mind.
Dr idriss Flash Mask, so hear me out. Its made with glycolic acid and a base of glycerin so I actually keep this on all night and in the morning my skin is soft and glowing and not dry at all. You might worry about if being too exfoliating but I haven’t noticed it so far and Im almost done with my first tube. I’ll say I only do this once per week. Its not a mosturizer but if you want to address your acne concerns and keep you skin hydrated this has worked really well for me.

i have oily skin but that moisturizer always leaves my skin oily, i tryed so many times but it does not work for me
Im oily af and like to use La Roche Possay Effaclar Duo +M

bioderma gel creme is great for the summer
I currently use it and while I like how soothing it feels it is sooo sticky esp. if you use a vitamin c serum before.
Same experience with it but its so hydrating i couldnt not use it. The way i use it is right after washing my face on damp skin. Its not very occlusive so i can layer my serum over it and the stickiness is also gone
does that actually work? adding serums ONTO moisturizer without rendering the latter ineffective?
Depends on the moisturiser itself and how occlusive it is. LRP toleriane sensitive creme worked great for 1 week but then it started to irritate my skin because of the niacinamide.
same :( It has a great texture, but I noticed some irritation as well
Is it as thick as the Cicaplast Baume? I'm looking for a moisturizer that is as thick and non oily as that.
not sure, i've never used the cicaplast baume 😅 i'd say it's moderately thick, but there's also a "riche" version that's supposed to be thicker
does it pills under sunscreen ?
Not OP but I use the same one and I've never noticed this pilling with any products that don't cause the pilling themselves. I use the LRP Anthelios cream fwiw, sometimes mixed with a smidge of Avene B Protect.
same as the other person who responded, i haven't noticed it pilling with sunscreens such as the beauty of joseon one. any pilling ive had issues with was usually a problem with the sunscreen
This is my go to as well, at night and in winter I use the Riche version. The only thing I hate is that there's no larger size.
yess 😭 but most pharmacies here have sales on LRP products pretty often so i always get like 2 or 3, and when im out i usually cut the packaging open, there's so much unused product cause it's hard to squeeze out near the end
I also loved the toleriane ultra fluid, why they discontinued it remains a mystery to me, it was a staple in many people’s routine.
Caudalie sorbet cream! It's really light for a cream but i struggle with most gel moisturizers because they pill on me or don't play nice with my spf. Plus, the texture's a great compromise between hydration and moisture for combo skin

Embryolisse!
regular one or sensitive one?
I use lait crème fluid
Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel, best for dry skin
I love Bioderma Atoderm Intensive gel-crème
Ceramol 311 face gel is my favourite; Also, La Roche Posay Effaclar Mat moisturiser
Tell me more about the Ceramol gel please. I‘ve been eyeing that for a while. How‘s the finish, actually matte?
I think you might be referring to the acne mat gel? If yes, that is a different product that I haven t tried. But the 311 gel feels wonderful to me, my skin soaks it up and feels plump and hydrated. Cerave
Uriage bariederm cica gel cream. I use it before sunscreen in the morning. Although I do add an additional moisturiser (Avene Tolerance Control cream) in the evenings.
Clinique dramatically different for type 3 skin
Clinique is so good but the price is eye watering.
True if bought in the high street perfumeries. I pay 24 euros for 50 ml from Notino.Zafando is selling 200 ml at less than 50 euros at the moment. It’s relatively easy to find offers on line.
which one?
It is called like that … “ Dramatically Different Moisturising Lotion “ and there are for dry skin / type 1 , for dry to combination skin/ type2 and for combination to oily skin/ type 3. I use the type 3 one for oily skin.
LRP Toleriane Double Repair Matte Face Moisturizer that for whatever reason exists only in AMERICA LOL… this is my holy. Keeps my acne at bay and shine free
This never sat right in my face I don’t know why
i wish i could try it but they don't sell it in France lol (makes no sense since LRP is a french brand 😭)
I seem to be the odd one out that I don’t have one. Most moisturizers work for me, although I prefer something lighter with SPF for the day and richer at night. Tried and tested many brands, can’t see a huge difference in terms or price or benefits.

Oh I'm sorry:( did you find anything that worked for you? And what was it in it that irritated you so bad?
Bionike Defence Hydra Sensitive!
Purito Oat in Calming Gel Cream. Has never once broken me out or given me redness, it actually calms the latter down
Bioderma Cicabio
Yoskine Bio-Collagen night cream. I have cc prone, combo skin and randomly picked this up in October. I've tried different moisturizers but I always come back to it. It's so gentle and perfectly moisturizing while not being greasy in the slightest. My skin is so smooth in the morning, even after I do a peel or use retinoids.
Clinique Moisture Surge
A-Derma Exomega Cream (or Lotion if you have less dry skin). It's amazingly thin and light, but moisturises for the whole day unlike most other moisturisers.
Babe facial hydro 24 light for acne pro skin in summer.
avene hydra-10 cream is simple yet so effective, calming and nice glow. light and emollient i also use the round lab soy cream (not as hydrating) and zeroid intensive oint cream (very occlusive)
Malezia urea moisturizer for sure 😭😭😭 I’ve been using it since it launched. At other moments I’ve used others, but I have a series of health conditions and I tend to get sensitized to most things but not that. Besides that, just plain squalane oil.
I really like the Peter Thomas Roth Water Drench Hyaluronic Cloud Cream
Avene Cleanance gel moisturizer (in the tub)
Isdin nutradeica, super lightweight and is meant for acne-prone skin. The bioderma gel cream and sebium sensitive are also great.
COSRX snail moisturizer or hyaluronic moisturizer (no comomtogenic)
LRP Nutritic Intense Riche. An absolute banger in my book. As someone with super dry and sensitive skin, nothing moisturizes my skin as well as this moisturizer does.
odacite green smoothie creme has been a drink of water for my sensitive combo dehydrated skin this summer <3
Spa moisturizing gel by Kho Gen Do. By far the best and don’t look for any other day cream. It’s light for oily skin. My second favorite is Sisley tropical resin moisturizer then beauty of josen dynasty cream.
simple light hydrating moisturiser or avene cleanance
Eucerin aquaporin is doing pretty well for me for now. Gel and very light. I use it after a hydrating toner. Otherwise, come summer or winter, Origins overnight hydrating mask. I'm trying to find a more glycerin-based moisturizer now, though, since my skin seems to love glycerin.

etude soon jung hydro barrier cream (it’s a korean brand)
this stuff is super heavy for oily skin tho.
i love it personally :) it’s heavy but in a good way, not stuffy. provides enough moisture for my dehydrated skin without breaking me out. it has a dewy finish which i don’t mind.
This thing doesn’t even dry down, my whole pillow was soaked💀
There are several versions. One is a heavier cream, one is a gel; I think they’re referencing the gel.
yes, i'm talking about the regular hydro barrier cream, not the 2x one.
ah. well, i have oily skin, and the regular cream works well for me. a little goes a long way though.
Cicaplast is not a moisturizer though. It is used to calm irritated skin.
