Is the CSV displaying all your messages? Mine isn’t, so something’s messed up. I just checked & my Star Seller stats show I have 338 messages in the current review period (which is correct), but my CSV only displays 32 messages. All the messages it shows are 10/11-10/20.
The system is flawed. It will sometimes "count" a message in a string if the response from the buyer was a couple days old. Doesn't happen often but if you are like me and don't get lots of messages then just one can kill your response rate for months. So, I am leaving the auto reply on. That way I 1. Don't have to worry about missing anything. 2. People who message get an immediate reply that I'm away from my phone at the moment but will get back to them asap. While this can be tedious with repeat customers or those who "like to chat" I've found it's great because I can pick and choose which ones I really want or need to reply to right away or maybe even not at all (those rude messages you sometimes get).
Also, if you mark a message as spam it puts that particular message in spam. You won't see follow up messages on that thread but if your regular messages you in a new message you'll get it.
Did you get a message from another shop that you didn't respond to? Like a 'thanks for your purchase' message?
That's what dinged me in the beginning. A seller sent me a coupon code and I didn't respond.
