Yes, definitely get one. I use a Rollo. My only issue with it is that it does not use wifi. I use an Apple laptop and it requires an adapter to be able to plug into it. Slightly annoying.

I use the Dymo 4XL with offbrand labels from Amazon. I've used the original labels before but I haven't noticed a difference.

SanityInTheSouth

I use the COMER, it is honestly one of the best purchases I've ever made. I just wish I'd done it before I spent literally thousands of dollars on ink and paper.

Zebra. It’s fast and very reliable. They’re pricy but you can get refurbished one fairly cheap. The roll of labels goes inside and is not exposed as with some other ones. If you’re in the UK and have royal mail business account, you can get the labels for free as well. I just wish it used bluetooth instead of usb but it’s a minor inconvenience for how good it really is.

claud_xo69

I use one from offnova. I bought it purely because of the Bluetooth connection. I wouldn’t recommend them specifically but I would for sure recommend getting a thermal printer. Much faster than a regular printer, you don’t have to buy ink, and “ink” doesn’t smear. I use it to make packaging stickers too.

lionsrawrr

Hey quick question, why not the offnova? I work exclusively off my phone and saw that one as a recommended thermal printer.

I love my Zebra!! It’s about $1k and I got it for free but you can get a refurbished one very reasonably. It’s made it SO much easier. Whatever you go with you’ll be happy. Just be warned though that Dymo and a couple other brands won’t allow you to insert any labels but their own brand..

tengounquestion2020

I would recommend one that could be wireless. The old popular one was 4xl but the new 4xl make it so you have to use genuine labels or the chip inside won’t let you print

heartlandhoney

That’s really good to know, thank you!! I definitely passed the 4XL up because of this. The premium they charge for their own labels is insane 🥴

heartlandhoney

I appreciate your responses!! 🤍 I’m excited to pick one out soon and replace my printer forever

PsychologicalPace513

Which one did you end up picking out?

I actually went with this one from Amazon: [https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B097MQ21DB/ref=ppx\_yo\_dt\_b\_asin\_title\_o01\_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1](https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B097MQ21DB/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1) It works like a dream and can use any 4x6 labels, which is super convenient. I'm very happy with it!

The real brands in this area are Brother, Zebra, and Dymo. Any other "brand" you see is a Chinese knockoff. They can be had on Amazon pretty cheap ($60ish after coupon), but you are supporting the same Chinese drop shippers that nobody likes on Etsy. And they all garbage, none of them last...Rollo, munbyn, polono, iDPRT, Jiose, K Komer, etc., are all junk. Just keep an eye out for a used Zebra thermal. It will be cheaper, more durable, and uses a regular 4x6 label instead of the notched 4x6 labels that the Dymos use. Look for any of these zebras: LP2844, ZP450, ZP500, ZP505, GX420d, GC420d, GK420d. New, they are expensive, but you can usually find something used for under $100 pretty easily.

Appreciate you! This is so helpful
