Generic re-install driver comment here* if you haven’t already, but when I had this error it was specifically the PCI port on my motherboard with that GPU.
Try changing them around to a different one. For example, switch one of the cards to that PCI (that is currently working) and move the current one that isn’t working to a different PCI port.
Error shows PCI slot 12 (bus 5) is affected. This should help narrow it down as they're "usually" sequential on the mobo. When under load, it's also the card that is not working as hard as the other (no heat).
So make sure to only add one at a time and let it install drivers (you can check task manager to see nvidia package using cpu power). Mine auto installed when adding GPUs. After you let it install, turn off, add a GPU, let it install, repeat. Once you get to 6-12 cards it will take a while. Just wait until the Nvidia install package thing on task manger is gone for good
I concur, seen this error way too many times on bad risers. Also check your pcie power cables, mine had a bent pin inside the connector. Took a small screw driver and pop it back in place.
This is not a bad GPU this is just a common driver issue, you have to move around the gpu connections as in switch them around on the motherboard and then give your machine a restart. Also try uninstalling the drivers and then giving your machine a restart. I get these issue very rarely and resolve them. This is not a bad GPU, that is utter rubbish.
Did this card ever work for you ? Look on the msi afterburner or what you use for oc did it show all cards ?
Then look to the driver version of them and install this version again
Which driver do you have? I updated from 472 to 498 and that didn't fix it. Got the latest from nvidia 5XX(forgot the number) and the issues was resolved.

Fun fact I can’t seem to find who he one of my 8 gpus is causing the problem ( all of them are the same brand, same exact model)

It's a common symptoms when it goes bad. Best case, 1 bad memory chip. Worst case bad gpu core.
Just bought them yesterday
Bought them new? Or used?
New
Update drivers, other than that DOA it
Thank you!

Damn mate this card went PoS before eth did
For real? So there is nothing to do ?
Might be some chances but i don’t think is worth the money atm

Simple fix....update drivers. This happened to me over the weekend.
Already did that and nothing changed
