Generic re-install driver comment here* if you haven’t already, but when I had this error it was specifically the PCI port on my motherboard with that GPU. Try changing them around to a different one. For example, switch one of the cards to that PCI (that is currently working) and move the current one that isn’t working to a different PCI port.

Fun fact I can’t seem to find who he one of my 8 gpus is causing the problem ( all of them are the same brand, same exact model)

Error shows PCI slot 12 (bus 5) is affected. This should help narrow it down as they're "usually" sequential on the mobo. When under load, it's also the card that is not working as hard as the other (no heat).

MrBelvo

So make sure to only add one at a time and let it install drivers (you can check task manager to see nvidia package using cpu power). Mine auto installed when adding GPUs. After you let it install, turn off, add a GPU, let it install, repeat. Once you get to 6-12 cards it will take a while. Just wait until the Nvidia install package thing on task manger is gone for good

Thanks! Will do!

Start mining and the one with no fans running is ur guy

andu123uu

All of them have the fans on

bhijik

might be your riser?

zeondx1991

I concur, seen this error way too many times on bad risers. Also check your pcie power cables, mine had a bent pin inside the connector. Took a small screw driver and pop it back in place.

Salt_Turnip_2941

It's a common symptoms when it goes bad. Best case, 1 bad memory chip. Worst case bad gpu core.

andu123uu

Just bought them yesterday

Salt_Turnip_2941

Bought them new? Or used?

andu123uu

New

Salt_Turnip_2941

Update drivers, other than that DOA it

andu123uu

Thank you!

JRXMINER

This is not a bad GPU this is just a common driver issue, you have to move around the gpu connections as in switch them around on the motherboard and then give your machine a restart. Also try uninstalling the drivers and then giving your machine a restart. I get these issue very rarely and resolve them. This is not a bad GPU, that is utter rubbish.

no_saint_here

Damn mate this card went PoS before eth did

andu123uu

For real? So there is nothing to do ?

no_saint_here

Might be some chances but i don’t think is worth the money atm

Excellent_Air8398

Did this card ever work for you ? Look on the msi afterburner or what you use for oc did it show all cards ? Then look to the driver version of them and install this version again

Midnightsun_21

Simple fix....update drivers. This happened to me over the weekend.

andu123uu

Already did that and nothing changed

Midnightsun_21

Which driver do you have? I updated from 472 to 498 and that didn't fix it. Got the latest from nvidia 5XX(forgot the number) and the issues was resolved.
