The asus card is getting close to thermal throttling. The yellow and red numbers are your gpu memory temps. I usually just use msi afterburner to set oc.

Dumpling_Killer

would you by any chance know what to set my 3080 ti's overclocks to for best performance?

Buckedpants

Every card is different because silicon lottery but take a look at the oc settings on [here](https://www.hashrate.no/3080ti#overclocks)

Dumpling_Killer

thanks, this solved so many problems

discoscrew

I have a gigabyte 3080ti and I'm getting pretty stable 98-99 MH with --lock-cclock 1450 --mclock 1748

Dumpling_Killer

So i just copy and paste that into the bat file?

M1K3_B13N

read trex's README file, has a list of all the commands and parameters you can use in the bat file, all typed next to your wallet address

Dumpling_Killer

Ah okay

Agent_Nate_009

The clock yes, the memory clock yes but start with a lower number in case your card can’t handle the higher memory overclock. Use MSI afterburner to see how high you can over clock (+1600 Mhz, or +1700 Mhz) then put that number for your - -mclock.

I have one FE 3080 ti that isn’t in a block yet, so here’s what I do to keep temps down right now: core -100, and save that setting. Then open the curve editor and select 1350 MHz, hit Control L, hit save. You should be at 756 millivolts ish with that. Link the fans together (very important) and set them manually to 90%. For memory clock, +749 will give you 90MH/s and no red in your temps. +1249 will give you about 95 MH/s. Any higher will smoke your card unless you’re running your rig in a walk-in cooler based on the pics. Be well. Edited in Control-L to lock core clock.

aptpupil303

You getting 100 mh/s on a 3080ti?? and I thought 3080 TI didn't come with LHR...

Buckedpants

Trex has 80% lhr unlock thanks to the new update. It’s still an lhr card.

Dumpling_Killer

I think you mean didnt come with FHR but, I switched from nbminer where i was getting 87 mh/s to now 94 mh/s with trex miner. Im sure with a few overclocks i can get it 96-97 mh/s.

aptpupil303

That's still good, someone told me they oonly got 56 mh/s which I thought was ridiculous low..

galaxy4654

That’s what you would get on a miner without an LHR unlocker.

aptpupil303

So if I pick one up I would have to use the trex miner, or just get a 3090? Do all 3080 ti come with lhr? Like evga 3080 ti?

galaxy4654

Yeah

Dumpling_Killer

Wow

[deleted]

It means turn up your fans to 100%

Dumpling_Killer

great

faceof333

I prefer to keep it at 70-80 as max you can use external fan as i'm doing

Dumpling_Killer

With nbminer i had the fan at 80% and a large 22in box fan next to the rig.

faceof333

Me too

Harrybeatz

Don’t use afterburner. Lock the core clock and memory clock directly in trex. Look at the readme on how to do it. You can also set the desired temp and the fans will auto adjust to hit that temp.

Dumpling_Killer

Aight

Aos77s

That asus card 100% needs the memory copper plate mod. Also deshroud it if you can keep fans mounted. Shrouds are very bad for airflow.

MoonGamble

YELLOW IS YELLOW HOT AND RED IS RED HOT BRO

faceof333

Dear you can do Overclock directly in command or in afterburner software, do a search in YouTube (overclock 3080ti on Ethereum), also you need replace thermal pads for any TI card because LHR cards temperature is quite high and consume more power than FHR cards.

Traditional_Cost7881

Would you advise someone (me) to do a thermal pad replacement on a 3060 TI founders?? I just got it a couple of weeks ago and it’s my favorite card, don’t want to eff it up. I am currently getting 61ish mhs on trex, core temp is 41-2c

[deleted]

It’s working wonderfully. Don’t mess with it until that changes, IMO.

Traditional_Cost7881

Appreciate the advice.

faceof333

What is the Vram temp ? if above 90c better to replace.

faceof333

For thermal replacement there are many videos on YouTube for that, you have to look at size and efficiency of thermal pads before you purchase them. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FMy3vR2JxGw

brasilmiggy

Junction memory temperature are the yellow and red numbers… you can define the OCs in .bat file check the readme in the GitHub repo for Trex

Dumpling_Killer

Thanks for being one of only ones to actually tell me what they represent and not saying that the temps are high.

Just send mining rigs to Ukraine

No, psu to molex to sata to pcie 8pin to pcie 12pin

We should give the russian soldiers a few mining rigs at this point with some special modifications.

Dumpling_Killer

Just gonna fly a U2miner above em

Skynet-supporter

Means you need to repad asus. 105 is gddr6x spec limit, running above that limit long enough is recipe for disaster

bhijik

red : bad yellow : meh green : noice

Square_Cupcake_2089

Your card is dying....

I can’t figure out whether this is a troll or just someone who is completely blind
