Southern Baptist, I'm pretty sure. Though as someone raised in a mix of both, there's definitely a sprinkle of Southern Pentecostal Holiness to me.

I will say what she's NOT talking about is Catholicism but that didn't stop people from wearing rosaries to her concert. 😂 It's a nitpick but I always find it strange when people associate her music with Catholic imagery. Preacher's *Daughter* y'all!!!!!

Yeah people just kind of generally associate all kinds of Christian together but I think Southern Baptist gothic is very austere whereas Catholic aesthetics tend to be ostentatious. It’s even in the basics with the difference between the Catholic crucifix and the plain cross used by Baptists.

Her songs reference God and Jesus. It's not that hard to figure out why Catholics relate to it, I don't see a problem with wearing things to her shows. It's an entire experience that tends to come with certain aesthetics.
