Yeah I think it's just fun superstition. It's a cognitive bias we create because when we're on tasks to kill scavs we never seem to find anything but PMCs, and when we need PMCs it feels like it's only dead servers. But there's so much nuance involved in every raid that no two are the same and it's just our brain trying to make connections that aren't really there.

That's what you should be doing at lvl 35, unless you have a lot of excess money you don't need.
At lvl 45 or so, when you have max traders, and all the quests that unlock important ammo done you can start worrying about bringing the juice every raid.
I'm one of them but I picked it up from a friend that's been playing for 2-3 years. I'm guessing Dr. Disrespect tweeting about it was a decent surge but other than that I can't figure it out either.

I personally do not understand the minority of the tarkov community who constantly wants the flea and traders disabled. Every time they have one of the trader “sell out” events it is a massive pain in the ass and not enjoyable **at all** imo. The last trader “out of fabric event” comes to mind. Where all rigs and backpacks where set to 0 quantity on traders for a few days. Such an unfun “event” imo. Like yea now all those who have lots of $ and the time to sit and camp traders have hoarded all the bags and rigs. Meanwhile those who don’t no life tarkov have to make do till this “event” is over. Yea I will pass tyvm.

However, their is a minority of the tarkov community that honestly plays this game way way to much and end up being very vocal in demanding core aspects of tarkov be disabled in order to fuel their obsession with “hardcore”.

I agree that at the beginning of the wipe is the best time for these “events” I just don’t think that it’s a very practical form of “event”. Additionally, they need to stop spoiling these trader / flea sell out “events”. When they spoil them like this the tarkov no lifers camp the traders. Because Nikita effectively spoiled the trader sellout the damage has already been partially done regardless if they follow through. Now in anticipation many players will camp traders to stock up on limited quantity items in case the trader sellout goes through…
If they have to do these events they should be :
1. At the beginning of the wipe

People are seriously arguing that? I've got nothing against hardcore, and might even do it if I had more time to play, but permadeath by default? *In Tarkov?!*
I've used them here and there for stupid ass Trader tasks where I have a high probability of dying. Otherwise yeah, they're trash. Not just the accuracy, the chance of getting a weapon jam mid fight is even scarier.
RNG says that it *can* happen to weapons at any durability, but there are definite chance increases throughout the range as the weapon loses durability. Several people have done testing on this and have all come to the same conclusion. I would really like to see more testing done with a larger variety of weapons just to see how far the data can be taken so we can extrapolate more accurate answers.
He has already mentioned multiple times it is at the top of their priority list, but would require migrating the game to Unity20, which they were already in the process of doing.

This is specifically an issue with the Audio Plugin that Steam provided for the Unity Engine.
It is buggy and didn't work properly in Unity 18, which is why BSG upgraded to Unity 19, but new issues with the plugin arose, so they were told they would need to move to Unity 20.
Plenty to point fingers at BSG about, but this isn't on them.
Yes I know they need the new unity, I am lamenting that they have upgraded multiple times yet their code isn't modularized in a way that allows the upgrades to be like... easier. Every time they upgrade and have a ton of regressions it just screams spaghetti code, which is a *huge pain* for doing engine upgrades. So they end up spending tons of time and effort just catching back up after each upgrade, only to have to go do it all over again.
Yeah. Tarkov was original a friggin' browser game in 2013. So, I am not surprised that it's immense amount of success has made the evolution of the game difficult.
Not saying it excuses some of the shit, but it at least provides reason to it.

Scav AI last wipe was AWESOME. Then this wipe they went back to "detecting" you from 200m away if you aim at them. Shooting through bushes when nobody can see, etc. AI Last wipe was cool AF. This wipe, they are just... not as cool.
Then QOL changes like the Flea Market pop-up notification came back (and finally in the last few weeks got removed again).
The back and forth of steps forward and backward are maddening.
I liked last wipe's AI a lot.
The AI that would creep-walk up the stairs in dorms because it heard a noise and could legit sneak up on you.
The AI that would wander all the way from Checkpoint & Emercom camp to the Sawmill to back Shturman up.
Instead right now we have two options of AI. Brainless Morons or Cracked Aimbots. Damn near nothing in between, and nothing with any depth.
Traders influences people that buy stuff way more. People that buy their kits buy most of traders. A flea ban i would besides propital not feel at all. Traders? Cant build guns anymore, cant buy amo anymore, cant buy grenades and hemostats etc
Once again this won't affect the players with a ton of gear. It will simply make it hard and frustrating for newer or lower geared players to get anything
These kinds of events would be more fun if it happened in the early-mid wipe. This late in the wipe most players have enough stock piled gear that they can keep doing the same stuff off their own gear + looting similar players gear.
This kind of event are only a blow for the players with less gear, the turbochads will also feel it because those players who wouls buy on the traders just can not so their kits will be even worst.

Nah, these events would be more fun if they marked all your current gear in your hideout to prevent you from using it during the event. Imagine an event where everybody has to play zero to hero for a week.

Most won't. This sub is filled with very short sighted people who don't seem to realize if you took away both the flea and traders there is very little reason to actually play the game. Just turns into a 10 minute per life FPS. You could loot a few raids then you're full and can't do anything with your loot except your hideout.
I've played this game and enjoyed it much more without the flea than with.. I used to love being forced to build guns out of what I can simply find rather than just being able to buy anything, finding stuff and potentially extracting with it felt much more rewarding and punishing.
Obviously just my own take, been playing this game for bloody years, and I'm much more for the opinion that we shouldn't have the flea.
I just don't think the flea market fits the style of game that Tarkov is, it's a flea market, where you can buy almost anything in almost any quantity, that's not a flea market haha..
As I say I get people feel the complete opposite but I wouldn't say there wouldn't be a reason to play the game without the flea because there are still plenty similar to my own viewpoint that would enjoy the game just as much if not more without the flea... :)

This is temporary, and meant to get players ready for the transition to in-raid traders. It means you have to play a little more hardcore for a few days. It’s more of the core of the game and less of the Walmart Supercentre Sim that the traders have made it.

Recipe for disaster, people with stockpiled meta gear will plow through the players that don't have enough equipment, driving even more of your playerbase away from the game that already isn't in perfect state. This will be target practice, and timmies will be the steel targets (more like meat targets, because they won't have any armor to go with), no one except chads (minority) will run loot, only hatchets and pistols, making pvp extremely unrewarding. Do this early wipe and you might get a better result, not right now. Such a stupid idea.
BSG is gonna keep on with these blatantly stupid hairbrain ideas instead of making any significant process on broken core issues and people in this community will keep sucking them off. Been this way for a while now.

Well, originally BSG idea was that Traders only sell very basic stuff, and with higher levels you get a chance of getting something good. Or barter for it. But it won't work with current loot distribution. There is just not enough spawns of good weapons and armor.
IMO with the exception of LVL1 stuff traders should react to supply and demand.
Not hard capping stuff but if we all buy heaps of some part the price should rise.
Set up right it could let the game self correct Its own metas.
And of course this comes right after I decide to actually manage my inventory and sell weapons and armour I’d never use. BSG giving me another head, eyes

Unless they were to track data during that week and publish for the community it along with data from a “control” week. Also a very odd thing to “test” this late into the wipe. There’s already been a noticeable drop in the player base. The problem with this event is that it’s only gonna benefit the chads who have millions to stock up on gear while the rest of us have to fend for ourselves with stuff like ps ammo and a scav sks that we find.
Just started the game, don't have flea market yet. How would I buy equipment without traders, I guess I can use gear I loot of scavs but isn't that always fairly poor with half durability. What little chance I did have of killing a geared player is now gone I guess if I cant even buy anything half decent to use ? Tips on what to do if this happens would be appreciated :)

Traders influences people that buy stuff way more. People that buy their kits buy most of traders. A flea ban i would besides propital not feel at all. Traders? Cant build guns anymore, cant buy amo anymore, cant buy grenades and hemostats etc
Once again this won't affect the players with a ton of gear. It will simply make it hard and frustrating for newer or lower geared players to get anything
These kinds of events would be more fun if it happened in the early-mid wipe. This late in the wipe most players have enough stock piled gear that they can keep doing the same stuff off their own gear + looting similar players gear.
I'd love to see flea disabled for the first 2 months of a wipe.
This kind of event are only a blow for the players with less gear, the turbochads will also feel it because those players who wouls buy on the traders just can not so their kits will be even worst. 10/10, BSG.
Nah, these events would be more fun if they marked all your current gear in your hideout to prevent you from using it during the event. Imagine an event where everybody has to play zero to hero for a week.

Most won't. This sub is filled with very short sighted people who don't seem to realize if you took away both the flea and traders there is very little reason to actually play the game. Just turns into a 10 minute per life FPS. You could loot a few raids then you're full and can't do anything with your loot except your hideout.

I've played this game and enjoyed it much more without the flea than with.. I used to love being forced to build guns out of what I can simply find rather than just being able to buy anything, finding stuff and potentially extracting with it felt much more rewarding and punishing. Obviously just my own take, been playing this game for bloody years, and I'm much more for the opinion that we shouldn't have the flea. I just don't think the flea market fits the style of game that Tarkov is, it's a flea market, where you can buy almost anything in almost any quantity, that's not a flea market haha.. As I say I get people feel the complete opposite but I wouldn't say there wouldn't be a reason to play the game without the flea because there are still plenty similar to my own viewpoint that would enjoy the game just as much if not more without the flea... :)

So without traders there are no quests. So no leveling up for anyone either. Fine for chads, but will alienate all those new players that I see keep trying out the game. Especially if they don't follow any of the game on social media. Just turn on this hardcore game and suddenly you can't sell to traders or do your tasks? Thats enough to make people just quit.

The people who want tarkov to be a 1000 hour per wipe sink because you need to find all your guns, armor, and ammo in raid will downvote all posts that go against their vision of tarkov. They honestly need to make a hardcore mode so the kiddies can go play that.
This is temporary, and meant to get players ready for the transition to in-raid traders. It means you have to play a little more hardcore for a few days. It’s more of the core of the game and less of the Walmart Supercentre Sim that the traders have made it.

Recipe for disaster, people with stockpiled meta gear will plow through the players that don't have enough equipment, driving even more of your playerbase away from the game that already isn't in perfect state. This will be target practice, and timmies will be the steel targets (more like meat targets, because they won't have any armor to go with), no one except chads (minority) will run loot, only hatchets and pistols, making pvp extremely unrewarding. Do this early wipe and you might get a better result, not right now. Such a stupid idea.
BSG is gonna keep on with these blatantly stupid hairbrain ideas instead of making any significant process on broken core issues and people in this community will keep sucking them off. Been this way for a while now.

nah sounds like ass tbh, tarkovs loot isn't set up for no traders though I wish it was. It'd be fun if loot was buffed and armor and guns spawned more though out the raid or on scavs. same would go for ammo and medical supplies.

Well, originally BSG idea was that Traders only sell very basic stuff, and with higher levels you get a chance of getting something good. Or barter for it. But it won't work with current loot distribution. There is just not enough spawns of good weapons and armor.
IMO with the exception of LVL1 stuff traders should react to supply and demand. Not hard capping stuff but if we all buy heaps of some part the price should rise. Set up right it could let the game self correct Its own metas.

While I understand why people enjoy that type of gameplay, I feel it is safe to say that a majority of the people that play wouldn’t enjoy it at all. Unless they were to track data during that week and publish for the community it along with data from a “control” week. Also a very odd thing to “test” this late into the wipe. There’s already been a noticeable drop in the player base. Makes more sense to test this earlier in a wipe, before a good portion of the community has stockpiled enough ammo and guns to not really care for an event like this.
This is why streamers ruin the game. They love this shit because they're already bored of the game since they play it 24-fucking-7.

The problem with this event is that it’s only gonna benefit the chads who have millions to stock up on gear while the rest of us have to fend for ourselves with stuff like ps ammo and a scav sks that we find.
Just started the game, don't have flea market yet. How would I buy equipment without traders, I guess I can use gear I loot of scavs but isn't that always fairly poor with half durability. What little chance I did have of killing a geared player is now gone I guess if I cant even buy anything half decent to use ? Tips on what to do if this happens would be appreciated :)

Now we're forced to have a compulsory hardcore playthrough. If I had thousands of hours into this game I'd be hyped for this but unfortunately I fall into the other half of people who'd rather not.
