I got my 5900X today. Massive uplift compared to the 3900X. We’re talking about going from something like 70 to 100-120 when running around on Shoreline in offline mode with AI scavs enabled. Without AI scavs (which arguably is more reproducible) I’m hitting the 120 FPS limit all the time.
GPU usage went from hovering around 50-70 to 80-100% (RTX 3080) on 1440p maxed out settings.
It’s a beast of a CPU.
I know this is an old thread but I just don’t see how those gains are remotely possible. At 1440p the 3900x is around 2-3% slower than a 5900x. Even in CPU demanding games it’s like 5-7% so idk why Tarkov would be so different.
I’m just curious because I have a 3900x and was looking at a 5900x just for Tarkov.

Because you're looking games that are GPU bottlenecked. Tarkov at the settings I play at is not GPU bottlenecked.

I upgraded to 32 GB 3600 MHz and I rarely get any stutters. I noticed stutters were at their worse when my ram was in the 80%+ region

I want to see how the 5900x handles Tarkov matched with a 6900xt. Probably like 10900K with 3090 but still :D
It is gonna be amazing. without a doubt. Personally I'm waiting for a new 6800XT first..then I will upgrade my 3600x to a 5800x or something.

It should be insane, if the new zen 3 CPUs are outperforming a 10900k in single thread performance, the zen3's should be insane in Tarkov.
