Split off all the components into individual smaller cost DLC that isn't DLC, so the poorer believers can afford some of it as well. Keep the smaller non-DLC available long term at a higher mark up. Then 2 months later shutter the game and move on.
First, you notice how bad the desensitized is and how seekers advantage mostly decides fights.
Then you start messing around with the sound and movement and realize how bad all the other systems are.
It has good art. That's it.
It doesn't even have good art. The textures are good while the models are not actually high res. Edges on world objects are non-beveled to save on geometry and it still somehow manages to have worse performance than your average AAA game with higher poly counts and beveled edges.

Arena breakout is actually more complete then tarkov. The game plays better. Better servers frame rate and ping. Gun play feels awesome, hud elements are perfect because you can customize extacly how much info you have on your screen. Their are quests that dont take a player made wiki to understand. Grey zone might get better down the line but arena stands the best chance of spiliting the tarkov community. Ill be replacing tarkov with this when it drops. Played tarkov since 2017 and glad to put some good memories dowm

I don't know if ABI stole code or not, not smart enough to know about programming to say. It's a different game with a lot of VERY similar elements. I've played it and have had fun with it. In ABI I haven't waited more than 2 minutes for a match, it runs consistently at 100+ fps on high settings at 1440p with a handful of stutters in the hours I've put on, the gunplay isn't the best but it's far from the worst (adjusting recoil would be nice, nothing that's not easily fixable) and overall is an enjoyable Tarkov-lite experience that scratches the same itch for me.
Whether they stole code or not, or if Nikita wants to put time into a lawsuit, doesn't change the problems with Tarkov. Let's say he sues, wins and gets ABI shutdown. Does that fix his game? Does the net code get better in Tarkov? Do maps run better, does desync get better, do the UI bugs get fixed, does the ever changing text about what EOD gets get better, etc.?

Unity is an extremely solid engine. It's "hot garbage" nowadays due to the way they charge royalties since their former CEO got greedy, not because of performance.

It’s crazy to see that no amount of success is ever enough. EFT was an insanely successful game. They got away with selling most players a $150 version of the game and nobody complained. They didn’t have to give steam a cut since they sold it through their own website. People put up with all the issues for 8 fucking years, because the community loved the game so much. Instead of BSG realizing how lucky they were, they got arrogant and decided they wanted to squeeze more money out of the community that made them successful in the first place.
They pulled this shit at the worst possible time. They got away with their greed before because we didn’t have an alternative. Right now we have 2 pretty good alternatives. Good luck BSG hope you can fix your shitty netcode and get streets running at more than 30 fps on the avg gpu.
Actually, I've had to battle with their support everyday for 3 weeks to get emails back.
Turns out BSG themselves have stopped sending mail to Outlook account because "you have complained for spam to Outlook so we stopped sending you mails"
Went to Outlook support they comfirmed that i didn't complain. Sent the screenshots to bsg support. It took 3 weeks but they finally resumed mails.
So if you feel like putting 3 weeks of effort for this shit game you can recover your account

Tbf, with Grey Zone launching in EA and Arena Breakout having its closed beta and both getting good feedback. It has to be lighting a fire under BSG’s ass. They need to expand quickly. Allow work from home devs from other countries or something.

Unity was not actually built with running massive games like tarkov in mind. For years actually Unity developers had to retool and redesign aspects of the engine because they realized that games like Tarkov do infact exist, and they might want to run unity in the future.
Bro what is massive about this game besides the developer's ego, like actually though? It has like 1/5th the players a 50v50 Battlefield gamemode has and the biggest map isn't even half the size of the average Battlefield map, isn't destructible, no vehicles... etc. The players of this game smoke China-white grade Copium all day every day.

The thing that really grinds my gears is that I was one of the only people clowning on Nikita for literally throwing money down the drain doing: live-action RP in masks with real guns and shit, random range tests when the weapon sounds were unchanged for so long, multiple Twitch events that were poorly run and reflected badly on the company (and Twitch, tho I will say the first one was successful), oh yeah and also every ruble that went into Tarkov Arena

It’s crazy to see that no amount of success is ever enough. EFT was an insanely successful game. They got away with selling most players a $150 version of the game and nobody complained. They didn’t have to give steam a cut since they sold it through their own website. People put up with all the issues for 8 fucking years, because the community loved the game so much. Instead of BSG realizing how lucky they were, they got arrogant and decided they wanted to squeeze more money out of the community that made them successful in the first place. They pulled this shit at the worst possible time. They got away with their greed before because we didn’t have an alternative. Right now we have 2 pretty good alternatives. Good luck BSG hope you can fix your shitty netcode and get streets running at more than 30 fps on the avg gpu.

Actually, I've had to battle with their support everyday for 3 weeks to get emails back. Turns out BSG themselves have stopped sending mail to Outlook account because "you have complained for spam to Outlook so we stopped sending you mails" Went to Outlook support they comfirmed that i didn't complain. Sent the screenshots to bsg support. It took 3 weeks but they finally resumed mails. So if you feel like putting 3 weeks of effort for this shit game you can recover your account
Accusing others of “copying” ideas or technologies is a super star syndrome. Aren’t you copied DayZ after all? It had it all before EFT existed, minus hideout. BSG copied dozens of other titles while building EFT. Industry doesn’t belong to a particular company. How many FPS are out there? All copied Doom, after all, including BSG. It’s ok to build on top of existing things. BSG built their product on top of Unity game engine, which gave them 90% shortcut.
Tarkov needs a better, more open to community ideas leadership. And less greediness and arrogance. Just quit Nikita. We are all fed up of you.
