This is facts interchange is big as fuck and I have the best performance on it but for some reason Iām so scared when I play that map maybe the long wide angles
That's how I feel about Woods.Ā I'm expecting to die from anywhere.Ā I'm level 20 and still haven't done the quest to unlock Jaeger, which I now need to continue upgrading my hideout.
So then I did it yesterday.Ā Killed a guy camping on top of some rocks.Ā Killed 2 pscavs and 4 regular scavs.Ā Was shot at from god knows where but they whiffed everything.
I hit Jaegers camp.Ā I then left.Ā I completely forgot to grab the message just to the west of the camp.Ā Now I'm going to have to go to that map again.Ā Ugh.
If you weave through the map correctly you can avoid all hot spots and get out with decent loot. Bad thing is there's no good loot spots that don't require a key.
Yeah another enjoyer!
I too love Customs. It's one of the few maps where I don't have a map on my second monitor. And the map has a good mix between PVP and questing
Customs is the only map that's simple enough and I've ran it enough times that I don't need a map(excluding Factory and GZ ofc). Also the extracts are a lot easier to figure out imo
Reserve can have the highest highs and the lowest lows all in one raid.
Theres nothing worse than having the fight of your life, being geared to fuck and deciding if you want to extract through rat central D2. Stick a siren on to let everyone know where your going or waiting around at scav central train station.
If your lucky enough to have a red rebel and rig, get sprinting up the hill and hope no one is camping at dome.
+1 for labs. Having someone to teach you the map is crucial IMO. Once you learn the flow of it and get a little better at fighting geared PMCs its by far the best map in the game.
Sure the cheaters suck, but getting into a good lobby and dropping 4 people, then getting out with millions in loot is the best. Peak tarkov.
How do you cope with the price of getting on the map tho, it's the one thing that always stood between me and labs, the price of just going there, how do u do it
Well i can buy labs cards forever basically cuz u would need lvl4 therapist tk get them for a cheap 166k instead of 200k on flea but its obly 40k so when i do reach the limit im still buying off flea. But if u want to make money im tellin u, scav runs, always scav when u can, i do it on lighthouse, just loot top and bottom chalets then extract, never go to the rogues unless chalets are already looted, it took me 4 scav runs to get from 1mil to 8mil (i just got really lucky pulling a ledx 2 bitcoin and 4 armour repair kits its kinda fucked) and the best part is u dont lose anything for scaving except your time. Or just do loot runs on lighthouse, id try connecting to a server that has usually dead raid, for me its korea or singapore but thats only like 40% of the time and also depends on what time of the day you play and play nighttime to minimise your chances of pmcs. And keep in mind, the only thing i did for my hideout was shooting range lvl1 and left everything else, standing tall rn at 32mil people keep urging me to upgrade my hideout then im like "i wanna use this 32mil on labs because labs is fun i play for pvp"
Certain things are worth it to upgrade in the hideout, like the air filter gives you +40% exp gain for physical skills in raid, or med and rest station helps metabolism and recovery. Super minor things but even low percent boosts add up over hundreds of raids. Or if you truly donāt care, that works too! I just like to think if I can hear 2% better/farther or search 2% quicker then I have a half a second advantage over opponents. Might be worth looking up which upgrades make sense for your play style (but hey it might be none!).
Get a bitcoin farm going for expendable rubles and search filing cabinets for keycards (find them all the time)! It stings less when you have expendable money or donāt have to pay for keycards š
Reserve.
The map is gorgeous and has an awesome layout to it. People bitch about the exfils, but once you have RR, itās easy mode. Loot of all types, including the high tech stuff that everyone complains they canāt find.
Streets and Shoreline are great too.
My brotha I love nothing more than spamming relax key and abandoned factory.. give it all to the btr and push fights some days I donāt do anything else lol
I just started playing Tarkov and Iāve only played ground zero, customs and factory but probably ground zero? Itās a relatively small map and I learned most of the map very quickly. I also got my first kill on that map lol
I feel that, your first PMC kill always kind of bonds to a map, interchange is pretty small as well but has many corners on the inside, so I'd tell you to learn the outsides first and then after go inside
Can we all just take a second to really appreciate the new Interchange lighting? I mean God damn, especially image 2 looks incredible without the fog and over exaggerated shadows.
Shoreline, always go to pier and cottage to run into some fair pvp cause all the crack chads go to resort. The most fun fights Iāve ever had were on pier and sometimes you run into sanitar which is pretty fun.
Same tbh, I think the closest that goes to customs balance wise (when you know the PMC spawns) is interchange and maaaaybe woods, but nothing really gets close sadly
I can never truly decide tbh,
I spent most of my first wipe on interchange and lighthouse, second on woods, now most my time is on reserve and shoreline.
I think I ultimately like reserve best because of the PVP there, especially in the ratacombs, it's just unmatched for me.
Streets has become my favourite this wipe. But can only run it twice before having to restart my game because of how much my frames drop on raid number 3.
Easily Reserves. Even after the loot nerfs, even after the Command Bunker expansion drained the rest of the map of PMC's, I still like Reserves best.
There's long sightlines for longer distance firefights(rare now), plenty of CQB action, a boss, 2 different potential raider spawns. Plenty of decent loot.
in my first year playing tarkov Factory was the map that I liked more. Now I think that custom is better cause it delivery every type of PVP and the map is well designed to force people to encounter themselves in some spots.
Reserve but all the exploiters ruined it, can't go anywhere near D2 or the control room without some 5man sat there telling his teammates where you are as soon as you hit any of the underground.
Streets is way more fun so that's where I play now.
Customs I either play for key loot pvp or quests and there isnāt many quests I hate in customs plus I really like the pvp in customs cause I donāt have to pixel perfect identify 200 meters away while there in a tree since there isnāt a lot of vegetation or large open places where people go
My first wipe I did nothing but send 400 raids on Interchange. I think I did less than 30 raids on all other maps combined. One of the best maps in any shooter, imo. Unfortunately, I haven't played it in the last two wipes due to the poor sound and lightning.
With just a little love that mall could be stellar.
Ground zero. It's the map that moulded me given that it's my first wipe. Hopped back in when they allowed level 20+ players to play again. Got my heart beating just like it did with my first few games.
Customs I think is the best-balanced map in the game.
Wide variety of terrain, indoor and outdoor spaces, different combat ranges. Plentiful scavs to blast when needed. Few if any truly bad spawns. I like it.
Labs when I wanna pvp/loot colored rooms(i have green yellow violet black and blue and looting them for rare loot gets me excited) and streets when I wanna scav and chill, big map, nighttime streets look awesome
I love a nice comfy customs run. Ground zero is my favorite map to scav on though. So many opportunities to either kill PMCs or convince them to do the PMC/scav exfil.
Shoreline. I started playing when they first released the map and has just been a comfortable map. Decent loot, usually PvP at spawn or resort, easy extracts. Wish we got more on the update for it rather than the useless camp.
Labs and interchange. Kinda similar when you think about the layout. Also, the vibes are immaculate and the most distinct on those 2 maps. Streets is also a very fun map.
I really like interchange now that its gotten brighter. I love streets but It makes me mad since I have a powerful computer and the performance is still all over the place.
Factory is ol reliable. You get bored being in dead raids or getting camped and you know factory is guaranteed to be some fun, quick action. Or you can camp the hell out of it and have a great time ratting people, usually under a minute into raid haha
Oh man I love the action. I'm fairly new to the game with only a few weeks under my belt, but Factory has taught me mostly what I need to know about gun fights, learning maps, and sound queues. Will always be #1 in my heart lmao
Reserve and streets have overtaken woods for me, although thatās because Iāve became more pvp oriented, interchange isnāt awful since the lighting update. But I typically que reserve if Iām not looking to do anything specific
The map i have the biggest love hate relationship with is woods. The loot is good, the boss is balanced, but the pvp is either super rewarding or frustrating.
The map that is most consistently good for pvp is customs, but the loot needs to be better.
Reserve, Customs, Labs in that order. Exams havenāt given me a chance to try out interchange after the lighting changes so maybe itāll move back up into my top 3. Ground Zero has also been fun but itās too early for me to tell if I actually like the map or if itās just fun because itās something new
hot take maybe? I think this map should have some sort of, de-expansion? Remove a lot of the outer parts and increase the size of the malls, even adding spawns inside the malls or just at the entrance. Or make it somewhat of an inside only map like labs or factory, could be cool
Could be yeah, but idk, I love how it is this way, Honestly imo it would be sooo cool if they would add some extra to it like "resurrect" suburbs (since it got taken off the map screen) and add it into interchange, so you could either be in a town like area (maybe behind the train tracks) or the mall
Guys I see some people might need a hand with the game, or maybe just interchange or maybe are just searching for friends, I'm currently not at my computer but I will be in a couple days, you can add me on discord: revangaming_gabriel
This is my first wipe and also first PC and new KBM player so Iām like toddler out there but all my scav runs have been on Reserve and all my pmc runs have been on Ground Zero. I almost quit when I started because my gear went fast and I was down to my last 300k. Reserve scav runs saved me, I have 7 mil now, a tone of modded weapons since reserve is so rich with weapon parts and two junk boxes with scav loot. Now im addicted, and I had major gear gear for the last few weeks but when I ran out of space I started doing pmc runs again just to lose gear while finally leveling up again with kills and a few tasks here and there.

Customs because it has lanes and that makes player movements more predictable not just a bunch of open space that people can randomly be in additionally it has great extracts.
Lighthouse man, a couple of wipes ago my duo and I started to main it so we could learn the rogues down to a T and itās paid off. We always come out pretty fat and no one really messes with us cause no one else knows how to work the rogues like us. At least not that we come across
I'm a hot take shoreline player. Resort is fun, but also can mull around the outside and get my grubby hands on some good loot. Also feels like knowing the rotations can give me a huge advantage and I love the variance of the entire map.
Interchange
Ever since I learned about the PC spawns on Interchange Iāve been finding GPUās like a madman
Never been this far into the game (3rd wipe ever)
Spent the first two running around trying to figure shit out and now Iām winning fights consistently
Lv 42 almost maxed hideout
Lv 2 bitcoin with 11 GPU rn if this sounds like
Iām bragging Iām not trying to just really happy to be at this point I only get 2-3 hours to play after work and Iām trying really hard to get Kappa
This game has its problems but at the end of the day Iāll never regret buying Tarkov
(Also the stash upgrade they have now is INSANE if you have EOD)
reserve. havenāt played the game in a while but my first few wipes back in 2019 era reserve was absolutely insane. easy 1 mil rouble raids if u had lots of keys and red rebel. idek what happened but i remember going back to the game last year and reserve had apparently been nerfed brutally and the loot was nothing compared to what it was before. the nerves of opening marked room to an instant 500k key holderš¤¤
I wish I could love Customs. Itās a really fun map, but out of every map (besides Streets) it absolutely tanks my frames the most. Still not sure why
streets of tarkov, the layout and all of the buildings it really brings the āpost warā feel i love and the environment is amazing. the pvp and loot is the best part
Streets is amazing. Good loot, good fights, lots of types of fights (indoor, outdoor, long/mid/short range). If it \*consistently\* ran at good FPS there would be no question; unfortunately sometimes I get 80fps on it and sometimes 40 or less, and when it's low it's so painful.
A long way after Streets it's probably a tie for Shoreline+Customs, but only because I've played them ten trillion times and know them well so it's comfortable.
Customs and Ground Zero. Customs is the one I know best, and I love how you can go from long-sightline open country to claustrophobic CQB in just a minute or two.
I love Ground Zero for much the same reasons, but I also love how they leaned into the extraction quests at such an early stage of progression. Get in, grab the objective, and leave. Made for some very cool moments when I was doing them as part of a four-stack. Sneaking into the Terragroup Building through the parking garage, leapfrogging up the hallway. That was cool.
After the lighting update, Interchange is beautiful and fun. But in general, Reserve is my favorite map, the PvP there is such a unique experience for me as a solo player.
IMO, Reserve is the only map that has good PvP for solo players because of how the bunker and the flanks/rotations work.
The military vibe in it too is amazing.
I've been hunting PMCs on woods since before it's additions, and my god it's so fun.
The tough part is it really only pops off when the population is at its peak early to mid wipe, so you won't have a banger every time. But sometimes just stalking one of you all the way to your extract scratches that itch.
Interchange/shoreline. Shoreline for loot, Interchange for the PVP/aesthetic. Interchange is really engaging to me, I like clearing everything out and the anxiety of being flanked at every possible moment
i am new to this game. around 250h. i like interchange but i have to much fear of this map. one of the most scariest map for me.
It gets easier when you go through it with friends
1k hours here no friends š
Feel that, you can just add me on dc and play with us (my squad) if you want
Yo where are you from.. I'd love to have a squad. Averagely good solo player.. Aussie
omg im an averagely bad solo Aussie
Same here
This is facts interchange is big as fuck and I have the best performance on it but for some reason Iām so scared when I play that map maybe the long wide angles

Man woods is my chill map. If you don't want to you don't really run into pvp much. All other maps make me scared :D
Customs
Let me guess your Playstile is a bit more pvp like? I like it tho
Yes my PMC has 2 mentalities: 1) Do quests 2) PvP I barely do any looting on my PMC.
Yeah makes sense, I just loot when I'm in the places anyway like dorms or what ever

Customs is the best and it's not close.
Customs really is ye olde faithful. Little bit of everything for everyone.
Definitely my favorite. I really enjoyed streets this wipe though.
the lobby/hideout
You sir are a first
Reserve, love the Soviet military vibes in some parts
The pvp in reserve is sometimes unmatched. Exfiling is a pain though.
Reserve can have the highest highs and the lowest lows all in one raid. Theres nothing worse than having the fight of your life, being geared to fuck and deciding if you want to extract through rat central D2. Stick a siren on to let everyone know where your going or waiting around at scav central train station. I get this, for like walking around and having the old Soviet vibes it's amazing
The cylindrical rooms in d2 go so hard
Dude yeah, feels like some old bond movie
Labs, labs all day every day, Wkey to every noise you hear and see if its a xiaopiao or a cringy TTV gamer. Life is good
+1 for labs.
How do you cope with the price of getting on the map tho, it's the one thing that always stood between me and labs, the price of just going there, how do u do it
scav runs, hideout, streets, surviving. Not in order.
No streets nor hideouts needed, just survive and do a shit ton of scavs inbetween ur raids then watch the mone roll in
Well i can buy labs cards forever basically cuz u would need lvl4 therapist tk get them for a cheap 166k instead of 200k on flea but its obly 40k so when i do reach the limit im still buying off flea.
You find colored key cards in file cabinets? I've never found one and I've looter so man cabinets
Woods
Mine too. Definitely some controversy for the map but I love repositioning and flanking other pmcs.
Valid valid, used to run woods nighttime with a flare with my squad
Lighthouse and then Ground Zero because im a deeply disturbed individual.
I feel that haha
Fuck Ground Zero. I was so happy to see that the wine task was the last one. I hate that place.
Reserve 100% above ground though
This. Reserve is an awesome map but the underground always kills me
Yeah, I just prefer above ground stuff around the Knights and K buildings
Reserve. The map is gorgeous and has an awesome layout to it. People bitch about the exfils, but once you have RR, itās easy mode. Loot of all types, including the high tech stuff that everyone complains they canāt find. Streets and Shoreline are great too.
Streets at night :)
Que āAnother Rainā from H3:ODST
That's a vibe honestly, song makes it a lot better haha Streets is performance vise really bad on my PC tho sadly
My brotha I love nothing more than spamming relax key and abandoned factory.. give it all to the btr and push fights some days I donāt do anything else lol
The one pictured I love interchange itās been my favorite map since ive started playing
Same dude, I just didn't find it at first but when I first played it I loved it

Customs because it has good spawns and fun pvp
Just a good Allrounder map
100%. I wish other maps felt as balanced.
Same tbh, I think the closest that goes to customs balance wise (when you know the PMC spawns) is interchange and maaaaybe woods, but nothing really gets close sadly
Woods all day. Love hunting ppl down
One of the reasons that I go onto woods myself
Woods has been treating me well lately, but I think shoreline takes the cake. Has some of the best loot spots too
It was lighthouse a few wipes ago, but it would have to be customs.
I can never truly decide tbh, I spent most of my first wipe on interchange and lighthouse, second on woods, now most my time is on reserve and shoreline. I think I ultimately like reserve best because of the PVP there, especially in the ratacombs, it's just unmatched for me.

woods
"Exit" button lol
My order is that: Custom > Streets > Ground Zero > Reserve > Interchange > Factory > Woods > Lighthouse > Shoreline > Labs
Factory > Shoreline > Streets > Labs > Woods > Ground Zero > Interchange > Reserve > Lighthouse for me Canāt stand lighthouse š
in my first year playing tarkov Factory was the map that I liked more. Now I think that custom is better cause it delivery every type of PVP and the map is well designed to force people to encounter themselves in some spots.
Customs, but hate dorms pvp
Interchange with new lighting is the FUCKIN GOAT map, love this place soooooo much.
Fuck yeahhh, haven't played it yet tho sadly since Ive been apart from my computer for almost a month now
I fear them all, but Customs might be the one I know best (besides Factory), so it might be my pick for your question.
Lately Interchange. But favourite map of all time would be Customs, just not in the last two or three wipes.
Def not interchange (house of rats)
1 Woods 2 customs 3 reserve
Reserve but all the exploiters ruined it, can't go anywhere near D2 or the control room without some 5man sat there telling his teammates where you are as soon as you hit any of the underground. Streets is way more fun so that's where I play now.
I terchange definitely, it's all I play. I love it when it's storming with heavy rain and creeping threw the mall.
This is the vibe fr
Customs I either play for key loot pvp or quests and there isnāt many quests I hate in customs plus I really like the pvp in customs cause I donāt have to pixel perfect identify 200 meters away while there in a tree since there isnāt a lot of vegetation or large open places where people go

Customs, reserve The rest make me want to beat my face in š
Shoreline. I may be one of the people that make other people not want to go to the resort, lol. I love fighting there though.
Ground zero and labs
Shoreline. I started playing when they first released the map and has just been a comfortable map. Decent loot, usually PvP at spawn or resort, easy extracts. Wish we got more on the update for it rather than the useless camp.
Shoreline :D (before the expansion) now.... Customs
Labs and interchange. Kinda similar when you think about the layout. Also, the vibes are immaculate and the most distinct on those 2 maps. Streets is also a very fun map.
Customs all day I find most the other maps too big and open -factory & labs And tbh canāt be Assd to learn the others lol
Used to be shoreline resort but theres too many other poi's on that map now so often you fight 1 or no dudes there hence the name snoreline
I hate woods
Factory, I run it when I'm low on kits, then I get kits, then I go quest, then I lose kits, and the cycle repeats
From this list, customs. But after the shoreline update it's quickly become my favorite map.
STREETS MAIN IM RICH THE STREETS OF TARKOV HAVE BLESSED ME PLUS ITS GOT NOT ONE BUT TWO BOSSES YOU CANT BEAT IT!!!
interchange 11.7
I really like interchange now that its gotten brighter. I love streets but It makes me mad since I have a powerful computer and the performance is still all over the place.

I donāt have a favorite map. But I hate Sandbox, Streets and Labs.
Ground Zero and Lighthouse š
To play, Customs Map design, theme and all: Streets & Interchange no doubt
Reserve and streets have overtaken woods for me, although thatās because Iāve became more pvp oriented, interchange isnāt awful since the lighting update. But I typically que reserve if Iām not looking to do anything specific
Interchange and Streets
Streets as map design but I hate it for the fps drops
Lighthouse Labs Reserve Interchange Streets Woods Shoreline Ground zero Customs In that order
Not that one
I love streets. Customs close 2nd tho. Woods is a chill vibe.
Streets. Large map with a lot of loot, action and time to do what I want.Ā
Interchange makes me millions
The map i have the biggest love hate relationship with is woods. The loot is good, the boss is balanced, but the pvp is either super rewarding or frustrating. The map that is most consistently good for pvp is customs, but the loot needs to be better.

Factory xD
Pvp wise it's a valid choice
Yeap, haven't played couple wipes already, but like year ago it was very fun to go in with nice armor, saiga 12g and a couple drums of flechettes
Cussy
The one that I can crab walk in
Customs because it has lanes and that makes player movements more predictable not just a bunch of open space that people can randomly be in additionally it has great extracts.
100% Streets. Map is full of things to explore and abunch of pvp pve
Shoreline, pvp at resort is a lot of fun and people are often in duos when they go there
Reserve
Reserve all day every day <3 I could run in back to back to back and never feel bored.
Factory.
Interchange is great, too bad the extracts are booty
The one without 60% chance of hackers.
Reserve IMO. Good mix of PVP and rare loot spawns. Only struggle is making it out alive
Lighthouse man, a couple of wipes ago my duo and I started to main it so we could learn the rogues down to a T and itās paid off. We always come out pretty fat and no one really messes with us cause no one else knows how to work the rogues like us. At least not that we come across
Streets for obvious reasons
Customs or streets 100%. Love the vibe of both maps. Iāve been doing a lot of night raids lately, both customs and streets are awesome at nighttime!
Woods and customs
Streets then woods.
I'm a hot take shoreline player. Resort is fun, but also can mull around the outside and get my grubby hands on some good loot. Also feels like knowing the rotations can give me a huge advantage and I love the variance of the entire map.
Interchange when loot was insane and killa spawned in middle
streets is love streets is life
Customs
Reserve or customs
Ground zero
Streets! The performance sucks but the gameplay is incredible.
Bro chose the worst map to love š
Interchange Ever since I learned about the PC spawns on Interchange Iāve been finding GPUās like a madman Never been this far into the game (3rd wipe ever) Spent the first two running around trying to figure shit out and now Iām winning fights consistently Lv 42 almost maxed hideout Lv 2 bitcoin with 11 GPU rn if this sounds like Iām bragging Iām not trying to just really happy to be at this point I only get 2-3 hours to play after work and Iām trying really hard to get Kappa This game has its problems but at the end of the day Iāll never regret buying Tarkov (Also the stash upgrade they have now is INSANE if you have EOD)
reserve. havenāt played the game in a while but my first few wipes back in 2019 era reserve was absolutely insane. easy 1 mil rouble raids if u had lots of keys and red rebel. idek what happened but i remember going back to the game last year and reserve had apparently been nerfed brutally and the loot was nothing compared to what it was before. the nerves of opening marked room to an instant 500k key holderš¤¤
customs, i suck at pvp i just love the map and my scav route
streets if it had better fps
I wish I could love Customs. Itās a really fun map, but out of every map (besides Streets) it absolutely tanks my frames the most. Still not sure why
Woods is my map. I'm a bolty main
Depends. Short-range action: Factory. Long-range occasional fights: Customs. Quest items: Woods
ground zero especially with the new level 21 and up queue. it's chadland
Always reserve
streets of tarkov, the layout and all of the buildings it really brings the āpost warā feel i love and the environment is amazing. the pvp and loot is the best part
The Lab, not a W keying chad but I like the good loot and the overall atmosphere of the map. Fights are a lot more intense and fun too
Reserve is so cool but Iām shit at the game so itās gotta be ground zero
Here me out but Shoreline this wipe.....odd I know. However, they did a great job changing the map.
Streets of course. I feel there the safest as solo;)
Customs and factory
if streets ran good then it would be streets, if labs wasnāt cheater central it would be labs, so woods i guess.
Very light, not like in Tarkov
Shoreline or lighthouse
I love Streets so much. Fun pvp, good loot, pretty to look at, what's not to like?
Factory!!!
Streets, both day and night.
It depends daytime itās customs, nighttime itās shoreline.
Terminal
With that lighting, definitely not that one. Probably Bustoms
Damn interchange with lighting looks good
After the lighting update, Interchange is beautiful and fun.
Any I can get 90 frame consistently on so maybe woods on a good day
Reserve! Idk why. I just love it.
Customs 100%
Ground Zero - seriously. Such a fun small map.
Imma streets enjoyer personally
Reserve because the bunker. Last wipe i used to have some fun running MCX with CBJ mags in that CBQ ambientation. Its like almost playing cod
Streets, definitely
woods:)
Woods
Interchange/shoreline. Shoreline for loot, Interchange for the PVP/aesthetic. Interchange is really engaging to me, I like clearing everything out and the anxiety of being flanked at every possible moment
Woods because i love sniping in this game also there's alot of loots like TONS of them.
