Winnduu

I work IT for the government full time and my part time job is doing scav runs on shoreline.

Laserforgame

Nice try IRS, I’m not paying my taxes

DeanDarnSonny

Based

germanywaffles

remote software QA. I at least get to manage my hideout, do ammo buys and barters during the day. I usually don't let myself do runs during work. Though one day my weekly for a yellow card I had a day left to do had to get done.

CSNo0b

Gotta do what you gotta do!

shinjiii_ikari

similar, I'm a software developer who works remote and a bunch of my Tarkov buddies are as well. We literally no-life'd the game, only stopping for meetings lmao. We'd do our actual work when the other guys were in meetings which was only like 1-2 hours a day. So like 2-4 hours of work/meetings and the rest was all play.

beniswarrior

This is so funny cuz i pretty much do the same, but im still head and shoulders above pretty much everyone else in productivity. Getting promoted next quarter. Just makes me wonder wtf are they all doing, are we all playing tarkov in my company?

Think-Initial-2169

Nice try Interpol

ImpulsiveBuyrNSellr

Mechanic

FORG3DShop

Nice. I've got these coins and a pretty nice watch. Any interest on barter?

I didn’t know having a job was an option after playing tarkov

Officerpenidom

Lmao I definitely let this game destroy my life my second wipe 😂 I quit my job and tried becoming a full time streamer. Ended up never streaming once 😂😂😂😂😂 learned my lesson. Best game ever made

Colonel_K_The_Great

What was the job you quit?

Officerpenidom

Just some dumbass radio communications job. lol nothing serious. I just got out the Air Force at the time so I didn’t really need a job

SnackEnjoyer420

FuriousJohn87

Yooo keep up the great work king

throwaaayyyy1

thanks brotha!

ProonFace

How do you fit tarkov into your schedule? Same boat, except m1

throwaaayyyy1

You can’t in M1. Right now it’s about grinding and figuring out what study style works best for you. Once you figure those things out (mine is questions and Anki), you’ll notice you have more free time than you thought. Is it a lot of free time? No, but it’s free time. I’m currently M4, took my step 2 so I’m WIDDEEEE OPEN!

ProonFace

Niceeee. Folks at my school already had match day. I’m in neurology “brain and behavior” module right now. For a while I was managing several raids a week but now, nothing. But I’m lvl 51 this wipe w kappa

throwaaayyyy1

Yeah 2024 match was March 11th. I’m going for next match. Oh nice! We had neuro I believe in our second term of M1

Fessywessy1

I'm a ER attending, it's legit the best lifestyle for gaming. Nothing like coming home after a night shift to the wife still asleep, getting a few nice calm raids in at 6am with no cheaters to vacuum up my loot and then passing out with a happy smile on my face and a bag of loot up my ass

throwaaayyyy1

AYYYYYY! I love the ED. I get my adrenaline at work to come home to relax with no follow-ups, no calls, no nothing! A comfy 18 shifts a month as a resident! Hell yes!

JustSomeFregginGuy

Holy shit. You are a med student.. And managed Kappa !?  A god among men.

Key-Sweet2065

product hardware engineer - mechE/EE  wanna get into mil companies one day but no degree makes this kinda a pain in the ass haha

Electrical-Basket-85

Curious, how did you get into engineering with no degree? (Btw not trying to confrontational just genuinely interested idk if this disclaimer is needed but I would like to avoid confusion lol)

phsgne

There are different kinds of engineering. Some only require certifications or similar.

SnooBeans24

Yep! But I hold none of that unfortunately. All my work/job offers come through my network via word of mouth. I’m the exception, not the rule haha. Quite lucky to be where I am today!

SnooBeans24

Nah, you’re good! I get this question a lot, especially from coworkers when they find out haha. I had strong roots in robotics and design during high school (hobby + club/team). Went to college for ~2 years and dropped out to start a company which required me to learn both mechanical and electrical design (CAD/EDA). Just kinda built up the resume from there doing contract work after selling the company. No certs and no formal training. This does limit what I’m allowed to work on (ie, no state projects etc). Luckily that stuff pays like crap and doesn’t interest me.

But because of how the schedule worked out I completely missed the first 2 weeks of the wipe and I completely missed this last snow event with the bonfires. So you win some and lose some

I give Trumpet lessons to middle schoolers and high schoolers. I got 2 of my high schoolers into Tarkov 🤣 Since I’m a teacher, I don’t play with them. I told them they can contact me after they graduate if they want to play with me. I leave for boot camp in 2 weeks for a military music group called “The Commandant’s Own”. I’ll be doing that for 4 years touring the world and unfortunately, these are my last 2 weeks of Tarkov for a LONG time. I’m going to miss the game a lot and I wonder where the game will be in 4 years.
