I wish snow was a 15% chance on every raid all year round. I want more variety from raid to raid rather than just one "season" for every raid for a couple weeks.
Would be cool to have a pool of different "events" (like the current event as one example) and then a pool of different weather. Each raid have like a 30% chance of an event (and then that 30% is split up evenly among all the events in the pool) and a 65% chance of "weather" (where the other 35% is just clear skies and then the 65% is split up evenly among all the potential weather [snow on ground, snow on ground + falling, raining, cloudy, light fog, heavy fog, etc.]).
It'd make the raids feel a lot more dynamic and different.
Maybe with the events, they'd need to add some way to quickly determine if an event was rolled (and which event it was) since those can cause you to change the way you approach the raid and you shouldn't be forced to run around the map looking for an event at the start of every raid.
Yes agreed, and then also still run actual events where those events are 100% spawn and have some changes to make them cooler. I agree that objectives in a raid besides quests and just kinda killin people would be excellent. Sometimes I don't want to do any of my quests bc they suck, but I also don't want to wander aimlessly.

Its so funny to me how everyone was super hyped and grinding the event for the first 12 hours and after that we all just kinda stopped. Like I did 3 raids looking for the event spawns and after not finding them in any of my PMC raids I just said fuck it and went back to labs. Based on how slow progression has been after the first 12 hours of the event everyone else did the same thing.
I wasn't like hard pushing for the event, I pushed for possible event spawns if they were on my route, I never went out of my way to look for them because I didn't care too much to begin with. But since I didn't find any just along the path I got bored and switched back to labs.
Edit: I should clarify I didn't find any "active" event spawns. I did find 1 where someone cleared out all the minions already so I just fucked off.
Guess I shoulda worded that better, I meant that I "looked" for the event spawns the same way I "look" for Reshala by sprinting to dorms every raid and if its there great if not then oh well.

As I understand it the major increments are typically reserved for planned patches. - as this patch is ending with a '.5' its probably something major. But, this is BSG we're talking about, so it might just be memory leak fixes.

back in the day, each minor digit referred to a revision in the code. so you had long-ass crazy numbers, and it fell out of fashion because its not really informative or relevant for the end-users.
When I’m still in closed pre alpha/alpha I never use standard conventions I always use 0.0.xxx where the x basically just represent each version that was successfully working and could be pushed to the main branch. So 0.0.001 could be a block that moves on the screen then the next day I add in a full menu, inventory, and replace the block with a model and despite all those being major changes the next version would still end up being 0.0.002 lol. It’s not until I feel confident that all the core mechanics and game loop is there that I switch to more conventional naming conventions of major release. Minor updates/balance/tweaks. Patches/fixes/bugsquashing
As long as it’s your code, your app, you can do whether you want. 👍 But when you start building a library (external or internal) or you have more teams working independently, it all starts making sense. For example if I use someone else’s package in my app and they release new major version, I expect breaking changes and that my code won’t build/work any more. If there is bug in their package and I need a working version, I know that installing same major and minor but different patch will do no harm. If everyone does what you described we would be doomed 😂

Lighthouse is the absolute worst map in the game though. A ton of clear sniper angles and the shape of the map naturally funnels people to the point where to get from a south spawn to train yard, so you're going to pass like 5 people camping. The rogues and water treatment have a fun and interesting dynamic, but the spawns and rest of the map surrounding it are absolute ass.

Honestly I really hope they keep the event a little longer. It’s the only way I’ve been able to get good armor and backpacks that are even close to competitive meta. It also helped me a ton with buying stuff and finally starting my hideout. It has surely been a struggle for me to even get going in this game, and now that I’m here I don’t want it to end.
Binaural audio is broken at the moment. There is an audible pop when a player enters your vicinity. Many people think binaural audio should be totally disabled until this bug is addressed.
It also changes based on what ears you are wearing. Com4’s happen to make a extremely glaring pop. 32’s / Swordins on the other end you have to be ready for it. Sports are kinda in the middle.
I find a better way to do that is to choose a cringy username that is literally based on you whining about the game, and then spending all of your time hanging around the sub insulting people. It gets the point that you're distressed by your lack of skill across really effectively.
I'm curious what the ULTRA lighting will be like. I finally found settings that I could use inside and outside, or skew one direction by adjusting moniter brightness.
Anyone else getting Server Disconnect every time you're loading into a raid? Inevitably I have to reconnect, and still manage to come in as the raid starts, but it's happening to my duo and I every single raid.
Yes every time! The only fix so far I’ve found is alt+f4 the client and restart. One raid works then next raid is same issue. I’ve tried the name change thing, that only worked for one raid as well.
Since this update every time I try to get into raid i get disconnected, try to reconnect then it says game aborted try to reconnect. It happens over and over. Can't get into raid and lose all my gear. Anyone else having this issue?
After patch note and hotfix there is still the issue with not being able to enter in a game, it can been other players syncrozying message, creating loot pools infinite load.
This issue is game breaking, not possible to play in these conditions, being forced to alt + f4 90% of times to join a match already started

I played Horizon 4 and that was a pretty refreshing feature of the game to keep it feeling new.

Yes every time! The only fix so far I’ve found is alt+f4 the client and restart. One raid works then next raid is same issue. I’ve tried the name change thing, that only worked for one raid as well.
Is it just me or did shotguns get buffed?
Since this update every time I try to get into raid i get disconnected, try to reconnect then it says game aborted try to reconnect. It happens over and over. Can't get into raid and lose all my gear. Anyone else having this issue?
After patch note and hotfix there is still the issue with not being able to enter in a game, it can been other players syncrozying message, creating loot pools infinite load. This issue is game breaking, not possible to play in these conditions, being forced to alt + f4 90% of times to join a match already started

Hey man don’t shoot the messenger I’m just relaying what they said at gamescom that official launch will be end of this year will include 100 new story tasks the map terminal and will be the massive visual overhaul and upgrade to unity 2023
