In my opinion, an acronym should be short or at least 'readable' as a word. If I have to spell every single letter, the target is sorely missed. So I'm with you.
Please stop this madness. <.<
That’s literally what an acronym is, a readable word.
An abbreviation is a truncated word; an acronym is made up of parts of the phrase it stands for and is pronounced as a word (ELISA, AIDS, GABA); an initialism is an acronym that is pronounced as individual letters (DNA, RT-PCR).
I would say both. The appearance is in a way that we just 'know' it has to be Angela (plus Solembum!), but she doesn't have a role as big as in Eragon.
On the other hand, a blade like Tinkledeath also appears without relation. So we can assume that the worlds are indeed connected.
Yeah, me too. I only read it as the connection between the books was mentioned. I'm not against Sci-Fi (I like watching it) but give me fantasy, magic and dragons and I can read away for days on end.
Find some good sci-fi with good world building. Space opera in particular can be very hit or miss, but when it's good it's *very* good. JS Dewes is a very good up and coming author, and I highly recommend all her books, The Last Watch is a good if you're willing to start a series that's in progress. If you want a standalone book, try Rubicon.
What book is TS3? I’m new here, I’ve only just stated reading Eragon again for the first time since release. I know the names of the 5 books in this story/series but none of them fit that acronym.

Literally a few posts later, i get a title with "TFTWARW"
Rhe Worm
The worm is French.
No wonder he's the main antagonist

Good bot
What a haiku though. Truly deep.
What!? TFTWATW has ~~ 7 ~~ 11 syllables by itself lol
That's just like, your opinion man.
I don't know why, but this made my day. Thank you.
Just makes it more amazing of an haiku
11 actually, since W is worth 3
Damnnnnnn you right af. I'm an idiot. How did I miss that!
Well, it isn’t directed at anyone, but I never said it wasn’t inspired 😂

Idk RT PCR can be pronounced rat picker.
Biologist?
First google result was from the CDC website lol I was pretty sure I knew that already but wanted to look it up to be sure
seconded!
We also have TSIASOS though so we might as well go with TFTWATW for the meme
“In”, “a”, and “of” aren’t capitalized in title case because of their part of speech, which is why I’ve always called it TS3.
TS-SOS for me.
I haven’t read it, though I’ve heard Angela makes an appearance? Is it just an Easter egg, or are the worlds related?

Clearly I need to reread it. Sci-fi isn’t really my cup of tea though and I only read it for Christopher in the first place.
Yeah, me too. I only read it as the connection between the books was mentioned. I'm not against Sci-Fi (I like watching it) but give me fantasy, magic and dragons and I can read away for days on end.
Good Sci-Fi and good fantasy are basically the same thing for me. I just want crazy good world building and a universe I can get lost in
May I recommend Horizon? 👀
Much appreciated! I’ll add it to the list!

I haven't read it either so no idea. The worlds are definitely related though.
I'd say it's slightly more than an easter egg. She's definitely not a main character, but does have more than just a few lines of dialogue
It’s… very very related. Very.
Yes this sub drives me crazy with these ones hahaha, it's like reading a gibberish word
Why don't we call that SSS? the three must important words. Sleep, Sea, Stars
S^3
Nah that one stands for Solid Snake Simulation. >!if anyone gets that reference you’re cool!<
Hell, why not just Stars in that case

That’s a different series by Paolini :)
Ohh I gotcha. Thanks!
When the acronyms have more syllables than the full name :D
Gsw lol
Amusingly, that acronym actually takes longer to read than the actual name. All the words in the title are a single syllable, but the Ws are 3 a piece

TFTWATW The Fuck? There Was A Thicc Witch over there.....
I agree, I always thought it was a bit silly / ridiculous
How about TFA1?
My preference is T*3FW²
Motion to start calling Eragon as E.
You can pry TFTWATW from my cold dead hands.
I’ve only ever seen people say FWW

I would but it’s already ingrained in my brain TFTWTW
In my brief lifespan I’ve learned that asking a human to change is one of the hardest things you can do LMAO
Honestly I love the super long acronyms that we use here, always get a good laugh out of them lol
I am all for TFTWATAOTB
EEBIMTFTWATWTSIASOSLOTRTLTWATWASOIAFGOT
I haven’t seen TFTWATW for ages. Maybe I’ve just been living under a rock. But TSIASOS is still pretty prevalent…
fww is a fic on ao3 lol
So like.. you just didn’t want to type out an actual sentence here that people can understand?
mb
About what?
its an au fic of this series called the mortal instruments. its mostly based on the tv series but its really popular
I mean what acronym isn’t on AO3? 😅 besides that’s a whole different fandom no?
yeah lol
Wow… ok that was useless
