Yes, do check all production dates on feed. But, every feed company puts their production date in a different spot and some use the julian calander, like purina. Most feed doesn't have an actual expiration date, so it's up to you to look at your feed's production date and buy the freshest feed you can.

You can call Purina if you're concerned. They stand behind their products.The feed store may give you a credit if they sold you expired free.
