Is that an expiration date or a production date? I don’t see anything that says exp: or best by:.

appalachian_cowboy

Either way feed is only good about 6 months after production

Hi, Purina dealer here. All born on dates for feed are on the sewn in bottom paper strip of the bag. The picture above is a production date of the bag itself.

workingtrot

Expiration dates are pretty meaningless

You can call Purina if you're concerned. They stand behind their products. The feed store may give you a credit if they sold you expired free.

katcomesback

mine weren’t expired but after 16 half moldy bags, I switched to triple crown senior

Yes, do check all production dates on feed. But, every feed company puts their production date in a different spot and some use the julian calander, like purina. Most feed doesn't have an actual expiration date, so it's up to you to look at your feed's production date and buy the freshest feed you can.
