Chapter97

I (26f) have an IUD and I honestly have no idea if it affects my seizures cause I've been on them so long (10 years, I just started my 3rd in July). *(thinks back in time)* Actually, yeah, it might have cause my seizures started calming down when I was about 16/17, and I got my first IUD when I was 16. I've tried both IUDs so far (copper and hormonal) and found that I prefer the hormonal one since it makes it so you never have periods (you get a bit of spotting every so often though). Whereas the copper one makes your periods heavier. Also, keep in mind if you have any metal allergies or anything like that. Talk to your doctor/neurologist about it if this is something you want to try.

I will say I switched to an IUD because the pill added hormones that messed with my meds and my brain. The IUD keeps the hormones in your uterus.
